@trunkmonky1980 I expected Nord to do much more in wrestling than he did. he was awesome in Mid-South in 85. I thought he'd do more in 98 too.
I still suspect they are talking about Neidhart, even though he had appeared there before. You know they weren't always truthful about history, so they might not be acknowledging his earlier run.
If not Neidhart, who could it be? This is around Dec 97/Jan 98, right? I think Tony references the New Year in the commentary.

Respond to this video... I honestly to believe Nord should had a better run in WCW. I don't know what he could have done with the Mick, but he certainly couldn't have done any worse then Rick Stiener, and he has a really good look about him too.
Always thought some promotion somewhere could have done more with the Barbarian, give him a good mouthpiece and with his natural ability I think he could have been something more than a curtain jerker.
The Barbarian vs. The Barbarian...weird not to see him say Huss Huss!! I remember when he used to have a lumberjack gimmick too...Funny that Nord has his Barbarian/Berzerker boots on and didn;t have the gimmick.
Now I remember this match he botchs his finisher at the time ther camel clutch

John Nord used to be known as The Barbarian in his Mid South days in the 80's. Also Nord the Barbarian in WCCW and as the Berzeker in the WWF.
