I honestly envy Aaron, no other person that I've ever heard of have had to go through half of the hellish things he has and still continues with his passion and keeps a smile on his face. If i accomplish anything in my life it will be to be like this man.
He suffered and was on the brink of death his story is so emotional and he shud be a role model to everybody whos heard his story. How can you sick people dislike this?
This is a brave man!!! cutting his arm and everything...takes a lot of courage. I watched the movie and couldn't believe it... hope he is enjoying a great life!!
He's so beautiful. His personality is so lovable. Calm and cool, even though the man's been through so much. wow. This is a true role model, a real person, not some shitty hollywood celebrity. RESPECT!
I read your book, saw the movie twice, saw this video twice, and i still can't realize what you've been through. an amazing story which will come with me all of my life.
@39slickrick Wow I don't know what place you live in where 4-year-olds climb dangerous rock walls, but the authorities there should really do something about that.
@39slickrick are you fuckin high? just hold a blunt knife to your arm now an feel the smooth scratch wich can barley break the skin. not to mention not eatin of drinkin for 5 days an havin to break TWO bones.
im sure everyone would think bout what they would have to do but 90% of people wouldnt/ couldnt do it.
and climbing of rocks like a 4 year old? what the fuck? climbing is a sport for people to get closer and acctuly see the world from difrent perspectives. its a sport all around the world!
If I had extreme pain in my arm for a half hour, having to stand for six days, no sleep for six days, no food for five, no water for three, and then had to break two of my bones in my arm, cut it off, travel deeper into Blue John and at the end, one-armed, jump down a six floor drop (with the ropes and stuff, of course),
and then finally have help, I'd be... I don't think I could ever understand what he went through. I think I'd regret not telling anyone where I went, but, just glad to be alive.
I had the opportunity to hear a conference of this amazing man, is incredible how he talk about his experience, Aaron really chance my life thank you so much, how he said, is not about who you were is about who you are, I'm going to follow my dreams and do what I love, now I know is not imposible :D
I once had a splinter stuck in my finger for about a month. One day I was washing my hands and the splinter fell out. It was the most harrowing month of my life.
can't they attach a new hand, I mean Doctors, They do all these miraculous operations, I mean isn't there something they could do, I think it could be done, I mean it could be done, pls do it.
There isn't any procedure that can provide an amputee with an authentic flesh and blood arm. Although they already have face transplants, so who knows, maybe in the near future medical technology will be advanced enough to replace missing limbs with real ones
Not as crazy as the full face transplants that are being used now. There was a a marine who had just the first full face transplant...and I think the woman who was mauled by a chimpanzee has had one, or is going to
Cried at the part where he tells about his actual experience and describes it as euphoric. During the movie I was so engaged with the character that I felt the boulder was the enemy. What a unique person Aron must be able to view the boulder as a good thing, something to help him achieve his goal of freedom. What a rare, positive perspective.
seriously badass motherfucker doesn't even begin to describe this guy... he's on a whole other level. there needs to be a new term to describe the level this guy is on.
i love in the movie how he actually laughs and whoops with joy because he was able to break the bones in his arm and can now successfully amputate his arm. totally gives you such a perspective for what the experience was like.
@chesney121 yeah i guess so, he didn't do anything for anyone else, but still. he is an amazing inspiration, i would never of been able to brake my arm twice and then cut it off...
@chesney121 He was a search and rescue volunteer. Cutting his arm off doesnt make him a hero, it means he has great survival instincts, but volunteering to help save ppl's lives doesnt make you a hero in your eyes?
i love in the movie how he actually laughs and whoops with joy because he was able to break the bones in his arm and can now successfully amputate his arm. totally gives you such a perspective for what the experience was like.

i honestly didnt know about this story, and after watching 127 hr i was curious and did my research about Aron. All i need say is wow this guy has some cojones to do what he did i'm still speechless. So nothing glad i saw this movie and learn to no forget some we all forget and is to never give up and to tell Aron if you ever see this comment god bless you and keep up man life is a journey peace :)
