I've never seen a fight on a playground where one kid runs at the other. They almost always instigate from face to face stances. On the few occasions where distance is traveled to initiate a confrontation, they approach with the intent to push/hit from still a front position. i.e. the run up to but stop. The second thing I would like to point out is that kids are also in danger of being grabbed by a stranger, I would think it ideal to have that included by blue belt as well.
kids in those ages and with that experience shouldn't have that stuff exclusively on an examination, they're too young and all they'll be doing will be copying adults and just playing games
Really?! What type of Martial Arts do you train in? What are your test requirements? Do you have full contact randori or test sparring? Do you have video of your school testings? Just curious about your "that's it?" comment to see if your 2 hours of "rigorous" testing is the equivalent to her 15 second randori.
its just 2 hour of phisical stuff like push ups pull ups things like that.then you have to spar ppl and evertually fight our sensie[or however you spell it] you dont have to win you just have to fight back.
Awesome! Did you see how she kicked one of her attackers in the gut at 4:22?! It looks like this dojo actually expects and prepares its students to actually protect themselves in a real fight.

I see many flaws with this. First a blue belt should not be doing evasions and roll falls. Another would be that she would not be kicking in Aikido.

The kids in that class aren't learning anything. I suggest you find another dojo.

I know this is a kids test, but once the person gets touched like that or pushed, the test is supposed to be over.
