ali looks like nelly furtado! seriously, they can be sisters or even twins. great job defending, ali. you have a tough and underrated job specially in the u.s. where most people aren't familiar with soccer yet. i am in awe of the u.s. defense team actually specially that game against brazil - 10 against 11 for about 55 minutes! and boy did they defend excellent. hopefully we see more of ali krieger, she's a very interesting, very talented player and yes very pretty :)

I think Christie Rampone made the bigger error BY FAR. She had the chance to either kick the ball straight foward or to the right and concede a Japanese corner kick or else she could've tapped it back to Solo to catch.

Instead she did a horrible job of clearing and it looked like Ali was surprised when the ball came to her and she didn't have time to react and kicked the ball reflexively to the Japanese player for the goal. So I think Rampone should shoulder most the blame here.

That was Rachel Beuhler on a slide. Play back to Solo would have been worse. The play was fast and bounced off of Ali - she did not really do anything other than be in the way there. Just a bad break but our defense needed to be faster to avoid that problem.

You're right it was Buehler on the slide and it was Rampone that turned over the ball initially that caused all the problems. Again watching the replays I think kicking the ball out for a corner kick would've been the best play, but kicking it back to Solo would've been fine as well.

When the ball went into the box, Buehler had gotten the ball away from the Japanese player who was on her and she could've easily flicked it back to Hope who was in position to stop the ball.

Regardless..shes gorgeous and she's a bad ass! An aggressive tackler, pure confidence on the back line, and without Buehler for the France game, they did a great job of organizing, especially with the pressure the French put on for the better part of the 1st half and into the 2nd.

More interviews with Ali Krieger would be welcomed!!

@monrose7 Yeah, i think we will win. But i dont think it will be a very high scoring game. I think we will win 2-1. But germany just pooped out against japan. I did not understand the substitutions the german coach was making in that game. Germany had loads of great players on the bench , yet the coach never braught them on. I think the german's thought they would just walk in and win and that came back to bite them.

it's the first time women's soccer is so popular and public in germany and because germany won the titel the last two times they were expected to win again for the third time from over 16 million people that watched their matches...that's just to much when you never knew that feeling before

@monrose7 Yeah, but with germany i felt there body language was very relaxed. Like, i almost think they underestimated the japanese. But when the show didnt go there way, they seemed to lack that killer edge that was needed to win. But Hey USA won today 3-1 and my hope is Japan can beat sweden. I think sweden in the final will be tougher for the USA.

@shaqdaddy11 After watching the Japan - Sweden match... I wish we would have gotten Sweden. Japan is looking FIERCE right now. I am rooting all the way for the US of course, but if Japan wins, it is a kind of feel good story, don't get me wrong though, I hope the US blows them out. I lived in Japan for 3 years and by far the Japanese are some of the most kind people I have met though, Germans were very kind too when I went to Berlin. :P
