This Islamic subhuman degenerate needs to learn some respect. Atheists run planet earth. We own it. We operate it. This angry old enemy of Humanity needs to be allowed the fast trip to his fake child rapist god concept. Can I suggest his kinds method, removal of the head. Humans wont be safe until every singular religious failtard is rotting underground and every book of horrors (bible and Koran) are burned to carbon. The war on religion is at hand. Its Humans versus the religious
You are quote mining. You have cut out the paragraphs he wrote after explaining how the eye could have evolved. Please do not quote someone out of context. It makes you look extremely childish and stupid.
"To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."
@shebins298 "...in the highest degree. Yet reason tells me, that if numerous gradations from a perfect and complex eye to one very imperfect and simple, each grade being useful to its possessor, can be shown to exist ... then the difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, can hardly be considered real."
**I have “faith” in gravity. Why then can you not accept the same premise with Allah?
Your ignorance baffles me. But I pity you. And I pray for you. Ask yourself this. What would you have your children believe, that they are animals, here by chance, with no purpose. Or that they are a unique and beautiful individual, created by a benevolent and loving Creator, and that they are of purpose. I know which sound better to me. But if you disagree, read Quran (surrah) 109. (you do read don’t you ?).
Do you belive in physics? (i assume the answer is yes).
Yet you cannot see "physics". You can only observe it's effect on the world around us. You cannot buy "newton's 3rd law", at the supermarket. But you can observe it's effect there. So in order to accept physics there has to be an element of faith. Similary, you can't observe gravity under the microscope. But as im SITTING here typing this, not floating around trying to grab my keyboard off the ceiling. tbc**
@AProudMuslim786 So if Allah came to the world uncreated what makes you sure that some other being did not come to this world uncreated and also wrote a holy book?
@scrap222666 lol you thick idiot, Allah dident just come to the world uncreated, he created the world and everything that exists, he is the creator of EVERYTHING!
@AProudMuslim786 He is not the creator of everything, he is not the creator of himself. Is Allah not something? If Allah is something he belongs in the category of everything. Allah did not create himself so he did not create everything. So how can you be sure that only Allah is the creator of everything? Maybe there is another entity that proclaimed itself with a holy book?
@scrap222666 Let us consider the Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wherein he mentioned that the Shaytan (Satan) will come to you and trouble you with questions like: “Who created this or that?” To which you would logically respond: “Allah.” Until he would come to the question: “Then who created Allah?” At which point the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to say: “I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.”
@AProudMuslim786 Now point to the place I asked you who created Allah. This reply has absolutely no value. Also you have avoided the answer 2 times now. I'll ask the third time. If Allah is the creator of most things (expect himself as he didn't need to create himself as he is infinite) then why can't there be any other entities who also have a holy book?
@scrap222666 im only 15 and im not a scholar go ask some Islamic scholar and hel answer you perfectly. but what i can tell you is that... Allah (SWT) is not actually something,...he is God!
@scrap222666 also if the Quran talks about Allah, human development, geoligy, expansion of the universe, space, and earth, 1400 years ago...?meaning who wrote this all? who new this 1400 years ago?huh?obv Allah (SWT)
@AProudMuslim786 For this I can only tell it's quote mining, double meaning and twisting the translation. For example on the expansion of the universe the word sama is suddenly meant to mean universe but how can we be sure? Maybe it still means heaven? Science proved something and then suddenly sama became also equivalent of universe. In a different quote universe is compared to a sheet, but sheets also have 4 corners and 90 degree angles etc. But I need the quotes to comment on.
@AProudMuslim786 But short the prophecies are nothing more than wishful thinking and trying to fit a cube in the socket of a ball in a manner of speaking. I would compare it to Nostradamus. Until the last turn of century people considered him among the best prophets in the world but only now when critically looked into he was turned out to be fake.
There can't be other "entities"because they haven't sent a book. They haven't sent a book, because there isn't anyone to send a book. Allah is the One the Only. He has no partner or equal. He sent a book. Actually he sent 3. (1) the Torah, this was rejected then changed. (2) the Gospels these were, accepted, then changed. (3) the Quran, this has not been rejected or changed in 1400yrs. (in addition there are the psalms of David(pbuh), i hope this helps, if not read Quran ch109.
I believe the following, La illala ilallahu muhammadur rassol. So of course i believe in the "Abrahamic" God/Allah. Although you would need to be specific in what you define entity. Allah so far as i am concerned has 99 names/attributes, and none mean "entity". Entity can mean many things including a film with Barbera Hershey. I take my information for Allah, from His Quran (1stly), then the haddiths of the prophet(pbuh), then i look at the christian bible.(tbc)**
**(cont), and the Torah, and Psalms. Although the last 3, i do not take as "gospel" as i believe they have been corrupted. (see council's of Nicaea and Rome, eccumenical gatherings). I reject hinduism, as this is idol worship, (i have no problem with individual hindu's just the religion), the same goes for, christianity(all denomonations), shinto, buddhism, harekrishnas, rastafarians, judaism, atheism(yes it is a matter of faith to be an athiest), and all the others, barring (tbc)**
Islam. Which i believe is the One True Faith. FYI, i was an Anglican for 12yrs, then i converted to Catholosism, and was such for the next 20yrs. I came to Islam recently, after a lifetime of study, contemplation and prayer. and to that i say, Allahamdulillah,Allahamdulillah!!! Rejecting other "entities" or books, is all in a days work for a Muslim. And i am not ashamed to say it, nor am i ashamed to admit i was wrong. Of course that leaves it open to suggest (tbc)**
**(cont) i am wrong again. But Issa(pbuh), (thats Jesus to you), said,
"You shall know the Truth and it shall set you free" (John 8/32)
The Quran states (2/26 "And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, ... He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient"). Anyway i'll leave with this, (it may help with any further questions), Read Ch109, Quran.
As a muslim, i believe that the Quran is the word of Allah. Quran literally means, "The Recitation", as in the recitation of Allah's word, by his servant Jibrael(Angel Gabriel), to his Slave and messenger Muhammad. And has been unaltered for 1400+yrs. I agree therefore in part that SOME religious books have been written or debased by man. That is what being a Muslim is all about. Again i urge you to read, Quran Ch109, it's online, real easy to find. (tbc)**
You atheists, and evolutionists. Think you have a monopoly on intellegence. You Don't. I have spent my life studying this subject, and can go head to head all day. And my answers are considerably longer than your failed attempts at reasoned debate. I have read, Selfish Gene & The God Delusion. I understood them. I Listen to Mr Dawkins(i reject his honorific as Dr, as he is wrong),and Prof Hawking. I have a library of over 500 books on my shelf, (tbc)**
@M8dha77ER About short replies I hate discussions that take up multiple messages on Youtube as Youtube is not meant for long discussions. I find it funny you think that I think that atheists, evolutionists have a monopoly on intelligence as they both only make claim on a certain thing, disbelief in god and speciation. About whales being cows as I have not heard about every speciation of every species I can't take a stand before learning about the claims so the current answer is "Don't know".
I applaud you candidness. I apologise if i seemed overly hostile, (it was not my intention, although in stand by my comments). I would be happy to pass you my e-mail address if you wanted to continue this discussion in a better medium. But i have to say with sincerity, i pity you. from your last comments it seems as though you are far from certain about religion or science. Only Allah (so i believe) can know EVERYTHING. With a 3lb brain how could we. (tbc)**
@M8dha77ER I like to be on the ground with my two feet as much as possible. I don't like bias. For example even for the word "candidness" I had to Google it as English is not my first language and I didn't remember what it meant. Pride and world view clashes while this being the case is in this matter stupid. Atheism wrong? Fine. Islam, Christianity wrong? Fine. I lose nothing really. Youtube Inbox message system should do just fine instead of an e-mail as I check Youtube more often.
When you talking someone of "faith", like myself. We take this subject very seriously. And most of us are prepared to defend that faith, if we feel it is being mocked (you can't threaten faith). We don't dismiss science or people. That is against how Allah tells us to be. Only Allah knows all. And He encourages us to study the world. Evolution has many holes as theories go. And i object that it is treated as "Gospel". I agree in variations (tbc)**
**(cont), in the different species. But evolution at it's most fundamental, says that non-living matter gave life to or evolved into living matter. This is not the same as mating a big dog and a little dog and getting a medium size one. It is saying that a Cow can change into a whale!?! Science tests what can be OBSERVED in nature,(without a creator), evolution has never been observed by any living person. Because since the begining of human history NOTHING has changed.
@M8dha77ER "But evolution at it's most fundamental, says that non-living matter gave life to or evolved into living matter." No the theories of abiogenesis cover this. Evolution takes over from when life first existed. And actually whales and hippos are most closely related. There is a full fossil record to support this as well as dna testing. And actually speciation has been observed by humans. Multiple times within the last 50 years in fact.
my good friend. .something to be notied.. in the Quran. it stats that adam and eve were made from dust and water. but dosnt tell anything about if there was a proses there took beofre becomeing humen.. aos if a muslim wanted he can aggre with davan teroy.. but the problem is not in that but the evdince put forth that dosnt add up.. theres something called the missing link.. and that missing link os half man half anmal something till this dai not found
@rudeboywaz Actually if you think there is a missing link of some sort that is completely false. Off the top of my head I can think of a few fossil groupings that are related to human evolution. Australopithicus afarensis, Australopithicus africanus, Homo habilis and Homo erectus are 4 different groupings I can name off the top of my head. The fossils exist. I have no idea why people say they don't I mean if you go to a museum of natural history they usually have them.
my good friend. if you note. the scinctic themself are saying theres a missing link. thos is not something im saying or something im just simply making up. .also note im saying this as ive seen the evdince .. not that its started in the Quran.. if i wanted i can believe in this yet iy gos along with the Quran. but im not going along with davins teory cuzz the evidince i feel is not sefsant anuff
@rudeboywaz No dude. You clearly are being misinformed. In the biology community evolution is NOT debated. I cannot express this enough. What ever information you are reading is terribly flawed. I gave you 4 groupings each of which have multiple fossils within them that show the evolution of the human species. I mean DNA sequencing as well confirms this. What ever you have learned you must not understand it, or the information was poor. Evolution is not disputed among biologists at all.
also my good friend. look at it yourself. hve u ever seen tht picire of davans teory.. theres like stages it shows .bt ou see my good friend. ryt 2 da end the messaging link is. the 1 u see half & half. just between the ape & humens. my friend its bin so long yet we dontknow ov anyone hows half & half. just people and apes. theres a big diffrince. agan im not saying dis cuzz i think its righttin in the Quran. no i can go with this & there would b no poblem with da Quran but cuz nt 2
The idea is laughable i'm sure you'll agree. Theories of any ilk are far from certainties. Otherwise we would call it "science fact" not "scientific theory", look the word theory up, seriously. It amongst other things means, Assumption, speculation and supposition. That is not the defintion of a fact. I am not aginst science, i love it. I praise Allah for it. I would urge you to keep an open mind. My concern is for your soul. Not your words.
@M8dha77ER you stupid fuck. i know from experience that arguing with a person like you is a waste of time. so there's 2 things left to do...either laugh at you or insult you. so you fucking retard. its because of ppl like you that fails to graps the meaning a scientific theories that the muslim world is still in the dark ages. yeah, gravity is just a theory, so go jump off a bridge, you won't fall down. keep on reading the quran, you'll get the answers to the universe. you retard fuck
**(cont), and have read them all at least twice. (And i'm not talking Harry Potter). How bout you, how many books do you own. The most recent studies, by MR Dawkins, say Whales evolved from cows...Really!?!.
1 or 2 Questions spring to mind, mabye you can help, Mr one sentance reply.
Why does a cow leave it's food source on land and decide to learn to dog-paddle?
@M8dha77ER I agree that books are a great knowledge source. I find it silly you are asking for the number of books. In total where I reside there are 4 book shelves and about 4 cupboards filled with books. In total I would believe at least 1500-2000 books. The most valuable probably a 18 century German translation book to my local language. I have read very few of them. I do not consider myself as an Atheist. I am non religious. I have never had a religion. (Part 1 of 2)
@AProudMuslim786 And how the hell do you know- because he says so in old crusty book written by men. Grow up! Get past this rubbish or are you too far gone! Religion retards us!
@carver555 I need to grow up, LOL! Im not the one who thinks...POP! came the whole universe. I have a brain, I use it. You have a brain, you dont use it. READ THE QURAN FOR ONCE. The PROOF is the QURAN! It has many proofs, evidences, signs, READ IT! And on top of that it has soooooo many MATHMATICAL MIRACLES! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A HUMAN TO MAKE!
and science improves us. is that what you are trying to say? to believe you as a "science fan". atheists only use the word "science" as a cover, infact they don't care about science, just living their lives like animals. science can be with anyone, relgious or not, grow up. and there are many departments in "science". what did you mean? natural? social? RELIGIOUS science? couldn't you specify please?
And what if i said that it was the Bible that first proposed that the earth was not flat but round and suspended in space and scientists merley ratified that. Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6. What if the greatest scientists in the world were Christians or bible belivers like Sir Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, ,Louis pasteur,Galileo Galilei,Nicolaus Copernicus,Michael Faraday,Alexander Fleming,. Sorry but the Bible ios actually 100 % right which many scientists believe in and follow!
@S00rabh In that case you can say that about anything, ufo's, ghosts, goblins. You will always have someone who has a general theory about something. Just because you talk in "general" , doesnt make it true.
It is a fact, what is so had to understand about. It is a proven concept which is observable. Gravity is also a theory. But some uneducated so called Dr says theory is just a theory.
Scientific term "Theory": A scientific theory is constructed to conform to available empirical data about such observations, and is put forth as a principle or body of principles for explaining a class of phenomena.
It is set of rules which are proven as facts. Like Theory of gravity or relativity,
@S00rabh So on that thesis i could say exactly the same about God. God has made himself known to many billions of people throughout history and affected their lives in so many ways. Unfortunatley for the scientist He doesnt make himself available to be scrutanised under a microscope nor does he jump when asked to jump, i.e perform miricles. But for billions of people he is as real as the love you have for your parents or children. Nether can be conclusivly prooven but they are both REALITY !
But my question would be, I would I trust 1400 Year old book which is proven wrong and not 99.9% of scientiest and biologist who have proven the concept true. And yet so have given me better and longer life based on that theory.
Christians, Muslims, Jewish, and many other religion groups, laugh at things they do not understand, yet in the documents of their faith they teach that is a bad thing to do. The pure arrogance that comes from you laughing at a field that has been proven over and over threw the fossil record, threw DNA, etc. Your pure arrogance, in all your faith is said to be a huge sin, and grasp that, because you know nothing of the science behind it and its confused you so you laugh at it. Your pathetic..
The really sad thing, is that out of all the Religious books the Quran wants to support science, learn, education, is so important People of any religion faith who study religion and not science should never speak on science, and I think all faith view preaching on ignorance as a sin if I am not mistaken right? So preaching against evolution when your ignorant of the science is a sin!! A big one and religious people need to stop, your issue is over your own arrogance of denying your an animal!
@onetime233 Gravity is not a theory its a fact , cells are facts ,but evolution is a theory which contradict a lot of science laws , but they insist because they think within decades , they will resolves all these contradiction , its just like the theory of material infinite , which the big bang theory are against
@Cableethernet33000 so you can accept scientific theories as fact as long as they don't contradict your religious beliefs? what laws does evolution contradict??
Hes not an expert on evolution for sure. He's a nice speaker and a nice person but he should stay away from discussing scientific ideas. If he does not believe in evololution than he should take antibiotics everytime he has a cold. Super bug creation works on the same principles of evolution. Bacteria "evolve" at a rate millions of time faster than primates.
This guy is a fucking moron. Blue-green algae disproves the theory? Algae is green like all other photosynthetic plants because of their chlorophyll containing chloroplasts. Thats how they know it was green because chlorophyll is green, just like hemoglobin is red in blood. Only problems can come out of taking these religious texts exactly as they are written.
Mr Yusuf....I really dislike your extremist brand of islam...and look what childish stuff your talking....ABOUT A CHILDRENS BOOK. dude grow up and prove darwin wrong...not those illustrations of a kg 2 fairytales...plus I am a muslim and you really made me ashamed...moreover a theory is a statement that has never been proved wrong....which has 99 percent of being true...
u missed the whole point about the inconsistency in the theory regarding initial stages of human or mammalian evolution.
The chart is available online but does not show details however the theory is the single cell split into everything that we know of from fruits to trees to birds and humans all originating from that single primary cell.
Thats the part that is not clearly explained by science and what he criticizes here. He has to make it interesting somehow to keep ppl listening.
The chart is available online but does not show details however the theory is the single cell split into everything that we know of from fruits to trees to birds and humans all originating from that single primary cell. Thats the part that is not clearly explained by science and what he criticizes here"
Er so? All theories have gaps in them: the atomic theory, germ theory of disease, etc, but this doesn't mean these theories should be discarded.
@nawazsucks but it still is a theory brother. it is not a fact. it's not called the fact of evolution but the theory of evolution, you want a better speaker, dr billal phillips is awesome on this topic. salams bro
@nawazsucks but it still is a theory brother. it is not a fact. it's not called the fact of evolution but the theory of evolution, you want a better speaker, dr billal phillips is awesome on this topic. salams bro oh and dr zakir naikis another awesome brother who is awesome at debunking this theory
I appreciate some of the little jokes he puts in his speech, but he really shouldn't be talking about evolution by natural selection if he's gonna call it "Just a theory", that just shows his ignorance to it. For instance, how do we know it was blue-green algae? Cyanobacteria is still around today and most likely was the prime source for oxygen several hundred million years ago.
@BeyondExistance Because it is just not worth refuting someone like him. Evolution is a done deal, it is a fact with an enormous amount of evidence behind it. Which is why it is taught in Biology classes in every school in every modern country. Why would you take scientific advice from this guy? Read up about evolution from actual evolutionary biologists. This man is only concerned with what fits his own personal ideology and not the truth. Charles Darwin's face in on the £10 note :) Peace
@BeyondExistance Evolution is a scientific theory and in science theories are the most important thing because they explain laws. Please just listen to what the people who have spent decades studying biology professionally have to say. All the evidence for evolution is there you just need to have a look at it, google it. And do not be afraid that you will find out its right becuase it is not compatible with your own personal ideology.
@rex786 : I am an academic person and I have no proble accepting any theory as a theory but, do not tell me it is a "done deal" as a fact or a law. I am a muslim and I know about evolution theory. In islam, we have to believe in science since islam teaches that faith and science come from the same source that is God. We do not create knowledge, we dicover it. for example, the bigbang is mentioned in the Quran; the exantion of the universe is mentioned in the Quran, many more ... no sapce.
@BeyondExistance Evolution is a fact; the amount of evidence for it is overwhelming and it seems the only reason you won't accept that is because it is not compatible with Islam. The big bang theory is not mentioned in the quran because a couple of lines about cloving the heavens and earth asunder is not a theory about our universe of over 100 billion galaxies. However I don't think for a second that you will even consider what I have been saying because you have accepted Islam as the truth.
@rex786 : i don’t think you are aware of the meaning of "FACT". even Charles Dawkins says there is strong evidence of intelligent design. So, you better review your references before throwing arbitrary judgments. read the islamic scientific prespective on the evolution here if you have time.
@BeyondExistance There is a worldwide consensus among scientists accepting the theory of evolution as correct. Since Darwin thousands of biologists have tested his theory and they come back with consistent results and a lot of evidence. Do you really think all these scientists, all the fossils found and all the dna similarities between species are all wrong about the same theory in the same way? If you want to take Harun Yahta's biased words over theirs on the topic of biology you can but i wont
@BeyondExistance In America there are countless fools (especially the Bible creationists) who just mock evolution. They do not even know what the theory says and broadcast their misconceptions to others. They ask stupid question like "If we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?" or "you're saying it all happened accidently?" The answer to these is that they haven't read anything. Evolution doesnt say it all happened by chance. This doesnt happen in any other modern country.
@rex786 : I want you to rely on your own basic human logic and think way back before anything ever existed and ask yourself: can really the universe do that on its own? Do you real honestly believe that? That fact of the matter is the evidence against evolution is far greater than evidence supporting it. My advice to you is that whatever you chose to believe, make sure it is the right choice, because down deep, I am sure every single human has these questions:
@BeyondExistance I can't possibly know what happened before the big bang and nobody in the world today has this information. But because I don't know that does not mean I will fill that gap in my knowledge with an ancient holy book. The "evidence" against evolution always seems to come from people who are trying to justify their own ideology. Anyway I won't convince you and you won't convince me so this should end here. Peace
@rex786 cont. previous reply ....: where the heck did we come from? why are we here? and where the heck are we going? For muslims, all of these are answered without any shred of doubt. Quran proves scientifically that it is the world of the creator and proves that all prophets from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and Jesus and the final prophet Muhammad peace and blessings upon them all delivered the same message of the one and only true God.
@BeyondExistance Ok well you have thrown all your trust into Islam and it doesn't seem as if I can convince you that Islam is just another man made religion like all the other thousands of religions people have followed through out history. I'm not surprised if you think Charles Darwin said that because people have used quote mining against him. My trust is with rationality and science; for me that does not include magical creation from a being for which there is no proof.
Islam is science.Scientists have adjusted their theories when they read the Quran. It´s ofcourse logical that God almighty created everything and God knows everything.
While Islam is a misunderstood religion, Darwin Theory of evolution is a misunderstood science.
To learn the theory of evolution from a muslim sheikh who knows nothing much about the theory is as bad as learning Islam from a christian priest who wants to convert you.
No where in the Quran is it mentioned Adam was the first human on Earth.
In a bid to explain the origin of mankind it seems the Muslims ripped this off the Christians and Jews or perhaps this was added by converts from the two religions.
" we created you (humankind), then we shaped you,and then we told the angels (controllers of the forces of nature) to submit themselves to Adam." ( verse 13, chapter 7, the battlements)
Moreover, Evolutionists and Paleontologists themselves admit the fact tht there are missing links and only hope tht these difficulties wud b solved inthe future. The missing links inthe fossil record remain as elusive as it was in Darwin's time.Furthermore, Neo-darwinism and Punctuated equilibrium are Theories even more bizarre and far-fetched than the original.Molecular biology as well as the complex structure of the cell has always remained obstacles for evolutionists.
Assalamoalikum(Peace). It is important to understand tht for a theory to be labeled as a fact there shud be available a large amount of evidences to support it.However, that is not so with the Theory of evolution which has always remained a theory tht was never proven inthe least bit.The missing links inthe Fossil records,The Cambrian Fossils,The Scandals of Piltdown and Nebraska Man,The deceptive interprtations of Archeopteryx and Coelecanth prove to the contrary
@1EpicLulz trying to believe that we were the only specie to out evolve any other species in intelligence, communication, physical ability and looks is a religion on its own...
Only species to out evolve any other species in intelligence? You must not know of the 8 other species of humans (now extinct). One (neanderthalensis) which had a larger brain than modern humans.
Humans physical ability is inferior to most other animals, and looks? All animals look different, that is of no meaning.
@1EpicLulz sighh* Evolutionists always undermine human ability.
those other 8 still follow the lineage of the human race. Perhaps natural selection didnt favor intelligence at some point hence they went extinct. Why don't we see such species today? And sure many animals are more physically equipped but look at it this way, can any animal even flip a page the way a human can? And according to my prof we ARE the best looking species on the planet. Feel free to debate that with him and not me. :)
Yes they follow the lineage of humans. However they are different species. If you wanted to you could go even further back to many other species of less developed ancestors. Proof of evolution.
Humans are not even the only modern animals to use things like tools
"Why don't we see such species today?"
Because they evolved into a different species or died out all together
The extinction of Neanderthal and other such animals had more to do with climate change then evolution favoring intelligence
@1EpicLulz There are birds that use tools, some even imitate human speech, but none can debate evolutionary theory with you. Termites build entire cities, complete with ventilation systems etc but they have no literature.
Mice & humans each have some 30k genes - only 300 are unique to either. (Explains why I enjoy cheese.)
100+ distinct chemical stages are necessary to synthesize DNA: try doing that by chance.. and without proteins (coded from DNA).
mere chance alone is meaningless in trying to disprove evolution (which has a mountain of empirical evidence to support it). The chance of you being even being alive and having this conversation on Youtube is less than that to synthesize DNA.
@1EpicLulz I hope you read what you wrote. You basically agreed with me and undermined the basis of your belief in evolutionary theory. Though you are wrong by many orders of magnitude: the probability of our having this conversation *has to take account of the probability of DNA synthesis*!
Before that, there is the probability of Big Bang initial momentum being just right to allow formation of stars & planets, the improbability of life-supporting planets forming, etc etc.
@1EpicLulz It is this very improbability of life that evolutionists side-step by rationalising endlessly that "given enough time", "given the right conditions", "given this, that & the other"... Give me a break. This is all conjecture based on assumptions.
Your "empirical evidence" is contradicted by the fossil record (one of Darwin's own falsification tests) & genetics itself, as organisms cannot adapt or become more complex via mutation; mutations either do nothing or produce dysfunction.
Yusuf Estes speaks for himself, but not for all muslims! Nidhal Guessoum, for instance, sees no contradiction between evolution and the Qur'an when both are properly understood. Yusuf Estes is ignorant...
@bayreuth79 Well its either wilful ignorance (as chosen by Estes), making an attempt to reconcile Islamic belief with our best understandings of the universe, or giving up belief.
@2cab. I think that this is a false dichotomy, I'm afraid. Certainly, if you look at medieval muslim reflection on "creation" you will discover that quite a few of them anticipated evolutionary thought. There is no "a priori" contradiction between "creation" and evolution by natural selection. Scriptures tell us "how to go to heaven, not how the heaven's go", to quote those famous lines. In other words, it is a mistake to think of scriptures as offering the same kind of explanation as science.
@bayreuth79 A great many Muslims that I have met see it as a dichotomy of belief in Islam or recognising that evolution is the best explanation for what we observe of the living world.
The most notable figure in anticipating evolutionary thought may well be Al-Jahiz, who seemed coming close to describing natural selection.
I know our conversation is done haha, but I just wanted to add a few points. First off even though this video is denouncing evolution, but Islam doesn't rule out evolution. God has not specified on how human beings were created, so there could have been an evolutionary process for human beings. Allah's names include "the creator" and "the evolver". Just the part of there being no creator is refuted.
@MrNabeel92 I didn't have enough room in the other box so I'lll continue here. Here's a question: When you see a name written in the sand it took intelligence to write that, correct? Nature could not have left writing in the sand, it would have left patterns. So when you look in DNA you see genetic inscriptions instructing cells how to function, and DNA retains information as well. Where did these instructions and information come from? Nature couldn't have done it.
@MrNabeel92 Well I was talking about religion in general, in that comment I was referring to Christianity.
Btw no where is the Quran does it say the correct shape of the Earth either.
You'll probably look up some verses and tell me that they mean a certain thing, but at the end of the day, you're using modern science to prove your point, which also means you're interpreting them in the way that you want, no one in the 7th century came out to tell people of the so called miracles in the Quran.
@Muneeb911 "Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe?"(Quran 21:30)
The Quran clearly says that living things were made from water, and modern science proves that. How else would you interpret that verse?. The main argument against religion is that it goes against science, and that's true, but not with Islam. So if science won't convince you what will?
@Muneeb911 Secondly, there was no science in the time that the Quran was revealed. Many of the people at that time didn't believe the Quran when it said that the Earth was turning, or that the Sun is in an orbit. But the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and his followers at his time believed it and were convinced that the Quran was the word of God because it could not have been the word of a man. At that time, the Arabs were excelled in poetry, and the Quran recitation left them in awe.
@MrNabeel92 So what benefit was the Quran to people if what it says was true but no one understood it, they're just a bunch a predictions, Nostradamus gave out predictions, many of them were true (they weren't clear), many weren't, but since many of his predictions were true, it doesn't mean that 'God" or 'Gods' or spirits or whatever contacted him and told them what'd happen in the future. As I said before NO ONE in the 7th century came out and told people the 'miracles' of the Quran.
@Muneeb911 "We have made of water of everything living, will they not them believe?"(Quran 21:30) How is that unclear? What could it mean besides creatures being made up of water? And the Quran is a guide for the Muslims sent down by God. It tells how we got here, and rulings in Islam. The scientific facts are there for our time as proof. Nostradomaus got some predictions wrong, but not the Quran or Sunnah . Either statements have been proven true or have not been yet been disproven, not wrong
@MrNabeel92 You speak of Science as if it's a religion, EVERYTHING that we see IS science. So saying that there was no science at the time the Quran came out doesn't help its cause, especially when talking of 'miracles'.
@Muneeb911 What I meant was that there was no possible way for Muhammad(pbuh) to know these facts at his time, because we have just discovered them recently. In the time of the Prophet, they didn't have microscopes, telescopes, etc. And what do you mean that nobody in the 7th century came out to tell people about the miracles of the Quran? The Muslims were reciting the chapters containing scientific facts with faith 1400 years ago. They believed in it and preached it was the truth.
@MrNabeel92 Ok so muslims recited chapters containing 'scientific facts' with faith but had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they meant, you said it yourself, faith, what was the purpose of it if they were completely ignorant of what it actually meant.
@Muneeb911 Also, the Muslims at that time did not have the technology to prove the facts in the Quran. And don't say that the people at that time already knew humans were made from water. How could they? The Muslims always preached that the Quran is the truth. The Quran is a miracle in different ways. Back then the Quran was a miracle because the Arabs knew that the Quran couldn't be the words of a man.
@MrNabeel92 Okay so here is what sums up what you're saying
- An All-Mighty, All-powerful God wrote the Quran, wrote down 'scientific facts' in the Quran but didn't think it was necessary to tell his people what it actually meant.
@MrNabeel92 I also wanted to add that they're not even clear (so called 'miracles' in the Quran). You take out a verse and say 'hey look at this, it must mean this", thats you interpreting something with the use of modern science. I say again, did anyone come out in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or an even later century to tell people of the 'miracles' in the Quran.
@Muneeb911 To me the verses of the Quran are pretty clear, but if that won't convince you then what will? Don't be closed minded. If you want specificity then look in t

"To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."

Quote mining is silly and dishonest.

@scrap222666 Allah (SWT) has limited our brains that we cannot think beyond...
AProudMuslim786 4 months ago
@scrap222666 Let us consider the Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wherein he mentioned that the Shaytan (Satan) will come to you and trouble you with questions like: “Who created this or that?” To which you would logically respond: “Allah.” Until he would come to the question: “Then who created Allah?” At which point the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to say: “I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.”
AProudMuslim786 4 months ago
@AProudMuslim786 Now point to the place I asked you who created Allah. This reply has absolutely no value. Also you have avoided the answer 2 times now. I'll ask the third time. If Allah is the creator of most things (expect himself as he didn't need to create himself as he is infinite) then why can't there be any other entities who also have a holy book?

AProudMuslim786 4 months ago
@AProudMuslim786 For this I can only tell it's quote mining, double meaning and twisting the translation. For example on the expansion of the universe the word sama is suddenly meant to mean universe but how can we be sure? Maybe it still means heaven? Science proved something and then suddenly sama became also equivalent of universe. In a different quote universe is compared to a sheet, but sheets also have 4 corners and 90 degree angles etc. But I need the quotes to comment on.
scrap222666 4 months ago
@AProudMuslim786 But short the prophecies are nothing more than wishful thinking and trying to fit a cube in the socket of a ball in a manner of speaking. I would compare it to Nostradamus. Until the last turn of century people considered him among the best prophets in the world but only now when critically looked into he was turned out to be fake.
scrap222666 4 months ago
@scrap222666

Australopithicus afarensis, Australopithicus africanus, Homo habilis and Homo erectus are 4 different groupings I can name off the top of my head. The fossils exist. I have no idea why people say they don't I mean if you go to a museum of natural history they usually have them.

What a childish person.
He talks about science , Archeology , and Darwinism as if he has studied it his entire life.
it would be as childish and stupid for any person to talk like that about islam without even reading the entire Qran + all that came before.
And i know for sure that he has critic's on those people to.

This guy is a fucking moron. Blue-green algae disproves the theory? Algae is green like all other photosynthetic plants because of their chlorophyll containing chloroplasts. Thats how they know it was green because chlorophyll is green, just like hemoglobin is red in blood. Only problems can come out of taking these religious texts exactly as they are written.

u missed the whole point about the inconsistency in the theory regarding initial stages of human or mammalian evolution.
The chart is available online but does not show details however the theory is the single cell split into everything that we know of from fruits to trees to birds and humans all originating from that single primary cell.
Thats the part that is not clearly explained by science and what he criticizes here. He has to make it interesting somehow to keep ppl listening.

Charles Darwin's face in on the £10 note :) Peace
rex786 6 months ago
@rex786 : with all respect, I dont think it is scientific when you say "it is a done deal". Evolution is a hypothesis at best.
BeyondExistance 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance Evolution is a scientific theory and in science theories are the most important thing because they explain laws. Please just listen to what the people who have spent decades studying biology professionally have to say. All the evidence for evolution is there you just need to have a look at it, google it. And do not be afraid that you will find out its right becuase it is not compatible with your own personal ideology.
rex786 6 months ago
@rex786 : I am an academic person and I have no proble accepting any theory as a theory but, do not tell me it is a "done deal" as a fact or a law. I am a muslim and I know about evolution theory. In islam, we have to believe in science since islam teaches that faith and science come from the same source that is God. We do not create knowledge, we dicover it. for example, the bigbang is mentioned in the Quran; the exantion of the universe is mentioned in the Quran, many more ... no sapce.
BeyondExistance 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance Evolution is a fact; the amount of evidence for it is overwhelming and it seems the only reason you won't accept that is because it is not compatible with Islam. The big bang theory is not mentioned in the quran because a couple of lines about cloving the heavens and earth asunder is not a theory about our universe of over 100 billion galaxies. However I don't think for a second that you will even consider what I have been saying because you have accepted Islam as the truth.
rex786 6 months ago
@rex786 : i don’t think you are aware of the meaning of "FACT". even Charles Dawkins says there is strong evidence of intelligent design. So, you better review your references before throwing arbitrary judgments. read the islamic scientific prespective on the evolution here if you have time.

@rex786 : the text area would not take the link .... so just google this "The Collapse of the Theory of Evolution
in 20 Questions" by Harun Yahta.
BeyondExistance 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance There is a worldwide consensus among scientists accepting the theory of evolution as correct. Since Darwin thousands of biologists have tested his theory and they come back with consistent results and a lot of evidence. Do you really think all these scientists, all the fossils found and all the dna similarities between species are all wrong about the same theory in the same way? If you want to take Harun Yahta's biased words over theirs on the topic of biology you can but i wont
rex786 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance In America there are countless fools (especially the Bible creationists) who just mock evolution. They do not even know what the theory says and broadcast their misconceptions to others. They ask stupid question like "If we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?" or "you're saying it all happened accidently?" The answer to these is that they haven't read anything. Evolution doesnt say it all happened by chance. This doesnt happen in any other modern country.
rex786 6 months ago
@rex786 : I want you to rely on your own basic human logic and think way back before anything ever existed and ask yourself: can really the universe do that on its own? Do you real honestly believe that? That fact of the matter is the evidence against evolution is far greater than evidence supporting it. My advice to you is that whatever you chose to believe, make sure it is the right choice, because down deep, I am sure every single human has these questions:
BeyondExistance 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance I can't possibly know what happened before the big bang and nobody in the world today has this information. But because I don't know that does not mean I will fill that gap in my knowledge with an ancient holy book. The "evidence" against evolution always seems to come from people who are trying to justify their own ideology. Anyway I won't convince you and you won't convince me so this should end here. Peace
rex786 6 months ago
@rex786 cont. previous reply ....: where the heck did we come from? why are we here? and where the heck are we going? For muslims, all of these are answered without any shred of doubt. Quran proves scientifically that it is the world of the creator and proves that all prophets from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and Jesus and the final prophet Muhammad peace and blessings upon them all delivered the same message of the one and only true God.
BeyondExistance 6 months ago
@BeyondExistance Ok well you have thrown all your trust into Islam and it doesn't seem as if I can convince you that Islam is just another man made religion like all the other thousands of religions people have followed through out history. I'm not surprised if you think Charles Darwin said that because people have used quote mining against him. My trust is with rationality and science; for me that does not include magical creation from a being for which there is no proof.

Here's the funny (or sad) part:
No where in the Quran is it mentioned Adam was the first human on Earth.
In a bid to explain the origin of mankind it seems the Muslims ripped this off the Christians and Jews or perhaps this was added by converts from the two religions.
" we created you (humankind), then we shaped you,and then we told the angels (controllers of the forces of nature) to submit themselves to Adam." ( verse 13, chapter 7, the battlements)
Creation, then evolution, and THEN Adam.

Moreover, Evolutionists and Paleontologists themselves admit the fact tht there are missing links and only hope tht these difficulties wud b solved inthe future. The missing links inthe fossil record remain as elusive as it was in Darwin's time.Furthermore, Neo-darwinism and Punctuated equilibrium are Theories even more bizarre and far-fetched than the original.Molecular biology as well as the complex structure of the cell has always remained obstacles for evolutionists.

usman2hype92 8 months ago
@usman2hype92
Only species to out evolve any other species in intelligence? You must not know of the 8 other species of humans (now extinct). One (neanderthalensis) which had a larger brain than modern humans.
Humans physical ability is inferior to most other animals, and looks? All animals look different, that is of no meaning.
1EpicLulz 8 months ago
@1EpicLulz sighh* Evolutionists always undermine human ability.
those other 8 still follow the lineage of the human race. Perhaps natural selection didnt favor intelligence at some point hence they went extinct. Why don't we see such species today? And sure many animals are more physically equipped but look at it this way, can any animal even flip a page the way a human can? And according to my prof we ARE the best looking species on the planet. Feel free to debate that with him and not me. :)
usman2hype92 8 months ago
Yes they follow the lineage of humans. However they are different species. If you wanted to you could go even further back to many other species of less developed ancestors. Proof of evolution.
Humans are not even the only modern animals to use things like tools
"Why don't we see such species today?"
Because they evolved into a different species or died out all together
The extinction of Neanderthal and other such animals had more to do with climate change then evolution favoring intelligence
1EpicLulz 8 months ago
@1EpicLulz There are birds that use tools, some even imitate human speech, but none can debate evolutionary theory with you. Termites build entire cities, complete with ventilation systems etc but they have no literature.
Mice & humans each have some 30k genes - only 300 are unique to either. (Explains why I enjoy cheese.)
100+ distinct chemical stages are necessary to synthesize DNA: try doing that by chance.. and without proteins (coded from DNA).
Proof of evolution (as mass propaganda).
umaralansari 8 months ago
@umaralansari
mere chance alone is meaningless in trying to disprove evolution (which has a mountain of empirical evidence to support it). The chance of you being even being alive and having this conversation on Youtube is less than that to synthesize DNA.
1EpicLulz 8 months ago
@1EpicLulz I hope you read what you wrote. You basically agreed with me and undermined the basis of your belief in evolutionary theory. Though you are wrong by many orders of magnitude: the probability of our having this conversation *has to take account of the probability of DNA synthesis*!
Before that, there is the probability of Big Bang initial momentum being just right to allow formation of stars & planets, the improbability of life-supporting planets forming, etc etc.
umaralansari 8 months ago
@1EpicLulz It is this very improbability of life that evolutionists side-step by rationalising endlessly that "given enough time", "given the right conditions", "given this, that & the other"... Give me a break. This is all conjecture based on assumptions.
Your "empirical evidence" is contradicted by the fossil record (one of Darwin's own falsification tests) & genetics itself, as organisms cannot adapt or become more complex via mutation; mutations either do nothing or produce dysfunction.

bayreuth79 10 months ago 2
@bayreuth79 Well its either wilful ignorance (as chosen by Estes), making an attempt to reconcile Islamic belief with our best understandings of the universe, or giving up belief.
2cabs2toucan 9 months ago
In other words, it is a mistake to think of scriptures as offering the same kind of explanation as science.
bayreuth79 9 months ago
@bayreuth79 A great many Muslims that I have met see it as a dichotomy of belief in Islam or recognising that evolution is the best explanation for what we observe of the living world.
The most notable figure in anticipating evolutionary thought may well be Al-Jahiz, who seemed coming close to describing natural selection.

geokonti 10 months ago
I know our conversation is done haha, but I just wanted to add a few points. First off even though this video is denouncing evolution, but Islam doesn't rule out evolution. God has not specified on how human beings were created, so there could have been an evolutionary process for human beings. Allah's names include "the creator" and "the evolver". Just the part of there being no creator is refuted.
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 I didn't have enough room in the other box so I'lll continue here. Here's a question: When you see a name written in the sand it took intelligence to write that, correct? Nature could not have left writing in the sand, it would have left patterns. So when you look in DNA you see genetic inscriptions instructing cells how to function, and DNA retains information as well. Where did these instructions and information come from? Nature couldn't have done it.
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
As i said before, EVOLUTION DOESN'T EXPLAIN THE "ORIGIN OF LIFE" BUT THE "DIVERSITY OF LIFE" AFTER IT WAS ALREADY PRESENT.
I feel that you don't even know the basics of Evolution for comparing evolution to the "origins of life".
You're asking for proof, read about fossils and remains.
And again don't get me wrong, I just feel bad for people who believe in books that say the Earth is flat.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 The Quran doesn't say the Earth is flat
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 Well I was talking about religion in general, in that comment I was referring to Christianity.
Btw no where is the Quran does it say the correct shape of the Earth either.
You'll probably look up some verses and tell me that they mean a certain thing, but at the end of the day, you're using modern science to prove your point, which also means you're interpreting them in the way that you want, no one in the 7th century came out to tell people of the so called miracles in the Quran.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 "Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe?"(Quran 21:30)
The Quran clearly says that living things were made from water, and modern science proves that. How else would you interpret that verse?. The main argument against religion is that it goes against science, and that's true, but not with Islam. So if science won't convince you what will?
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 Secondly, there was no science in the time that the Quran was revealed. Many of the people at that time didn't believe the Quran when it said that the Earth was turning, or that the Sun is in an orbit. But the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and his followers at his time believed it and were convinced that the Quran was the word of God because it could not have been the word of a man. At that time, the Arabs were excelled in poetry, and the Quran recitation left them in awe.
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 So what benefit was the Quran to people if what it says was true but no one understood it, they're just a bunch a predictions, Nostradamus gave out predictions, many of them were true (they weren't clear), many weren't, but since many of his predictions were true, it doesn't mean that 'God" or 'Gods' or spirits or whatever contacted him and told them what'd happen in the future. As I said before NO ONE in the 7th century came out and told people the 'miracles' of the Quran.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 "We have made of water of everything living, will they not them believe?"(Quran 21:30) How is that unclear? What could it mean besides creatures being made up of water? And the Quran is a guide for the Muslims sent down by God. It tells how we got here, and rulings in Islam. The scientific facts are there for our time as proof. Nostradomaus got some predictions wrong, but not the Quran or Sunnah . Either statements have been proven true or have not been yet been disproven, not wrong
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 You speak of Science as if it's a religion, EVERYTHING that we see IS science. So saying that there was no science at the time the Quran came out doesn't help its cause, especially when talking of 'miracles'.
:-)
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 What I meant was that there was no possible way for Muhammad(pbuh) to know these facts at his time, because we have just discovered them recently. In the time of the Prophet, they didn't have microscopes, telescopes, etc. And what do you mean that nobody in the 7th century came out to tell people about the miracles of the Quran? The Muslims were reciting the chapters containing scientific facts with faith 1400 years ago. They believed in it and preached it was the truth.
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 Ok so muslims recited chapters containing 'scientific facts' with faith but had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they meant, you said it yourself, faith, what was the purpose of it if they were completely ignorant of what it actually meant.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 Also, the Muslims at that time did not have the technology to prove the facts in the Quran. And don't say that the people at that time already knew humans were made from water. How could they? The Muslims always preached that the Quran is the truth. The Quran is a miracle in different ways. Back then the Quran was a miracle because the Arabs knew that the Quran couldn't be the words of a man.
MrNabeel92 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 Okay so here is what sums up what you're saying
- An All-Mighty, All-powerful God wrote the Quran, wrote down 'scientific facts' in the Quran but didn't think it was necessary to tell his people what it actually meant.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 But anyway I don't know why we're arguing, my comment on the video was about Yusuf Estes being ignorant of Evolution.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@MrNabeel92 I also wanted to add that they're not even clear (so called 'miracles' in the Quran). You take out a verse and say 'hey look at this, it must mean this", thats you interpreting something with the use of modern science. I say again, did anyone come out in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or an even later century to tell people of the 'miracles' in the Quran.
Muneeb911 11 months ago
@Muneeb911 To me the verses of the Quran are pretty clear, but if that won't convince you then what will? Don't be closed minded. If you want specificity then look in t
