@HughesPatricia What are the students actually doing in JIBE? Are there lessons they go through? Teachers who are teaching live? And are they meeting together or going through the experiences solo?
@rikomatic Students are taking classes through JIBE on a platform called Moodle. Our instructors have uploaded their classes onto this platform, so that students can take the actual classes through the virtual center, the same way they would if they were taking live classes. The teachers have virtual office hours and the students can take the class anytime (24/7), but the teachers need to meet with students at least weekly in the center.
To continue, students can access the instructor through e-mail at any time and instructors must answer the question (even if it is, I don't know) within 48 hours. Students interact with anyone who is in the center at any given time. The point of the center was so students would no longer go through their experiences solo. We are trying to help with rural isolation issues here. We have a 440 square mile school district and isolation is a real concern to our students.
