  • Is that a C64 at the beginning of the video on the right?

  • man these things are so expensive, i would love to own one if i had the money :'''(

  • Ive been spraying F21 turtlewax product on my playfields seems to work nice, anyone else do that???

  • Hello great job on the video Can you tell us where you bought the Varathane Polyurthane.??

I have looked all over town and can not find it in my local area - I have seen it on line, but I would rather find it local if possible..

  • @vc1414repairman Any home depot, menards, ace hardware, sherwin williams should carry that product, I would recommend spraying it through a hvlp system versus a can but the can is the most inexpensive option by far......

  • @centerflank You would think But I've been to Home depot-Ace hardware-Sherwin Williams-lowes home store- local woodworking store-hadlocks paint store- Sears- and the only thing I could find was a Quart of this product at lowes--but nothing in spray can form..I did buy a can of ACE hardware polyurthane -and it yellowed the playfield after a few coats ** Do Not use this product** Cheap and easy dosen't mean you'll get good results.. But my search gose on --if anyone else has any ideas please

  • @vc1414repairman Bummer, perhaps try calling sherwin and talk to a sales rep, Im sure they can special order that sort of poly. They do have there regular outlet stores and then they have some specialty industrial outlets as well (i was told). Im a professional painter and I use a place called Hallman Lindsay out of wisconsin, I will look next time Im at my store to see if they have it, I could even set you up with my sales rep and Im positive they'd ship you some.

  • @centerflank Thanks for your offer to help, but I have ordered two cans from -- True Value home store ---. After searching the web again - and found a easy to use web site ,That I could order the polyurethane from and have it shiped to my local store without extra shipping charges. I'm also a Finisher at a High End Furniture Store. I spray Dupont Chroma Color and Clear Coat on a weekly basis. I'm interested in this product because it looked great for small projects and touch up work .

  • @vc1414repairman Nice! I love clear coating and despise painted wood trim in houses, I prefer lacquer for my woodwork but I know that would chip rather fast on a play field. What do you shoot through? I have a Capspray Aircoat machine and an HVLP. The capspray has 30 feet of line so nicer for new constructions....Good luck on the play field finishes! If you ever post a vid shoot me a link.

  • Can you tell me where I can get a foxy chick that will tolerate my pinball addiction?

  • pinball ops are crooked.

  • Heat works like a charm for me. Any residual glue comes off with a little WD-40 on a paper towel.

  • I nearly always use WD-40 to remove adhesive, though I can't say I've used it on a pinball play field that I can recall. All but one machine that I've "shopped" already had a polyurethane coating on the play field, so it hasn't been an issue for me. Of course, I often find myself using something else to get rid of the WD-40 residue.... :-)

  • black rose looks like such a fun table, can i come over and play it?

  • Comment removed

  • I found heat works a lot better because it softens the adhesive, which keeps it from pulling off the paint. Remnants of sticky stuff can be cleaned up the same as she shows. My hair dryer works great for this. Just don't burn your fingers! Check out my vids for videos of my restorations. :)

  • LOVE YOUR SHIRT ! : )

  • haha @1:33 , "Oh Oh"

  • Thank you!

  • That is such a GREAT game!!!!

  • She's hot. She loves pinball. She restores pinball machines. Pinch me.

  • Stupid question. You say that this method pulls up no paint but yet i see paint coming off the playfield? Is it just cause you did it quickly?

  • @VinceLatello Part of the problem with this playfield is that it had been wet before the mylar. It was a difficult restoration, since the wood had swollen and cracked the paint. Usually it will not pull up paint if you go slow and keep the mylar frozen.

  • Dukes of Hazzard. Dem Dukes! Dem Dukes!!!

  • @ericnathan79 Great tip. The glue takes a very long time.

  • Always great videos. Thanks Jeri

  • I have an origianl Black Knight, It looks like mylar was never on the playfield but it has a lot of wear on it. I had this game 20+ years and it needs an overall tuneup, thanks and wish me luck with it. Steeljaws Game Room aka Jeff

  • @jeriellsworth

My parents place has a pinball machine that came with the house - and it's pretty old by the looks of things - no digital components to speak of. The machine used to be somewhat finicky when we played it as kids, and then stopped working altogether after a while. How long would you guess it might take to restore an older machine to working order (I'd be happy to try and answer any questions I can)?

  • Thanks for this now I know what paints to get for the playfield touch ups that I need to do on my machine.

And will you do a how to on fixing up a cab with scratches and some paint bubbling?

  • @PinBallReviewer I do the cabinet about the same and give it a semigloss clear when I'm done.

  • @jeriellsworth Sweet thanks.

Should I do a light sanding on it to get the flaky paint off or leave it be?

Sorry I know I am asking newbie questions but i would rather do it right then having it look like I did a half job of the restoration.

  • Nice video! Please join our face book site we need a person that can answer pinball questions.

  • use PURE performance electric motor cleaner to get the glue/sticky stuff off it does not damage any paint or plastic or rubber or anything for that matter!!!

  • The freeze spray is definitely the best route, but even with naptha or goo-gone and a stack of razor blades, you're gonna be spending a ton of time removing the adhesive. Took about 10 minutes to remove the mylar, and another 4 hours to remove the adhesive off my Taxi's playfield.

  • Great! Very useful info. Well presented. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for the tips, Jeri!

  • You use Goo Gone as your solvent remover - can you get your hands on some BT-9?

What I really want to know is ... how do you get your hands on a room full of pinball machines? :-)

  • for some reason i forgot there was a spy hunter pinball machine ~,~

  • More pinball restoration videos please!

  • It's official, I'm in love with you! But really, very awesome video! Lot's of useful information.

  • Wow..I never thought that misusing canned air would be so useful!

I wonder if that trick would work well on removing decals off of cars as well...that would come in handy!

  • good info Jeri, thanks for putting the time into the vid.

  • Nice Job Jeri!

  • Hot woman restoring pinballs. Am i dreaming or something? :D

  • what about areas on parts of the playfield where the graphics and lettering are totally gone? I don't want to replace the playfield, but I also can't find any stencils either (it's a stern galaxy pinball machine btw)

  • Your so smart and helpful... and visually stunning.

  • excellent! I agree with Pagey62, I could watch this over and over!

  • Great Video, very helpful plus I could listen to you speak all night!!
