this is my second time watching these series'. in my opinion if they cut all the warehouse and walk shit and took michelle and shannan out then it'd be perfect. oh yeah that'd be the first season :O. i love this season but tend to skip the shannan michelle stuff and just walk black team stuff for the majority

In the US Biggest Loser applicants with a history of heart disease and those with thyroid problems are automatically excluded from the contestant list. I'm surprised John was able to be selected after a heart attack.

@Azith10 I don't think they are automatically eliminated, it depends on the severity I think. Jay of the IS current season has a history of heart disease.

I'll bet the small plane didn't actually take them to LA. I'll bet it took them to another city in Australia where they got on another plane. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they have to get passports to be on the show though because they went over seas in the last season

they wouldve had to provide those details before they applied i'd think. reality shows are very careful about those details after the disastrous international destination on americas next top model cycle 3 where the girls were all arrested and believed to be part of a prostitution ring.

If he was up to the cash prize he woud've might want to take more risks and not follow those guidelines (not letting your heart rate go overboard, moderate exercise, etc) because of the money incentive. That would obviously jeopardize his health very seriously.

They probably put that segment in as there was a lot of controversy in the press regarding the two contestants that had to exit due to medical reasons the season before. They actually take excellent care of the contestants, but I think think it's the reason this aspect actually didn't land on the cutting room floor this time.

I love that they're keeping him and showing how someone with heart problems can still work to get healthy. I've lost a lot of people due to weight-related heart issues.
