Big Walter was at least 10 years before Little playing with Willie Dixon in the 40's. Big had a drinking problem and Willie and Muddy chose Little for performances and had Big teach Little everything he could. Big was the father of the electric style of harp. Willie Dixon told me in my 1988 interview that some of Little's recordings are actually Big. Little was the sole developer of the Chromatic Harp style. Hope this helps you.
