@AirRaider56 To answer your question, sometimes the sirens may not sound off in some neighborhoods like they should or in a few other neighborhoods, they don't have sirens at all. That's why a Weather Radio comes in handy. Not just for Tsunamis, but also for severe/tropical storms that may head their way.

I remember listening to Sirius XM satellite radio when this happened. I live all the way in Ontario, Canada, but Sirius and XM have an emergency alert system, that, when something like this happens, every 5 minutes or so, regardless of the station you are on, they will cut into normal programming to broadcast emergency bulletins describing the emergency situation and the precautions you should take, and it is broadcast nationwide, resulting in somewhat of a nuisance.
