These are opinions. Some prefer this version, and others prefer the writer's (Kate Bush) version. They are so disparate, that it is difficult to compare them to one another. I like both versions, because they both represent something different to me. I first heard Kate's version near the end of one of my favorite John Hughes' movies, "She's having a Baby", and first heard Maxwell's version while in the hospital, recovering from a hysterectomy, realizing I was never going to have another baby.

I don't really want to argue about this because this is basically a question of personal taste.

I'm not saying that the Macwell Version is bad or anything, I just prefer the other one. You are right that there is a lot of feeling in this version but I think that you can also feel the pain in Kates version allthough it is not that present... Maybe it's just that I prefer Kates voice and don't really like the voice in the Maxwell version. I think kate sings beautifully but that's just my opinion

I guess it depends on what your musical preferences are. I feel that Maxwell blew this song out of the water, but we owe Kate Bush the credit to writing/producing the original. Sometimes the original versions aren't the best; this cover of the song proves it.
