I am ex-student of Virtual University and now working as instructor. VU is working well and a lot of people are putting efforts to make it the best possible. The role of teachers (instructors/tutors) is always ignored which makes me sad after seeing promotional / advertisement campaigns. Creating Question Bank, making and marking of student assignments and exam papers are a few tasks performed by poor tutors and it must be appraised.

it is a good concept for a university. the lectures are standardized. saves a lot of faculty related troubles. good for manpower cost cutting. however, how can they replace the live student-teacher interaction?

it too good to have this type of education in Pakistan. but did u think when these lectures are recorded or in which year? its not update now... many of the subjects are taught in many course line.. the line of the difference is not been made.

Also the mid term examination based on computer is well but having this paper in 1 hour is not fair. time limit should be extended with questions also. coz students are going to get the masters degree on the fair bases.

next thing is the paper must not be on internet explorer it must be on software which cannot be open or explorer any where but at the exams center

the assignment system is good but its going to be open end coz students can made there assignment with the extra effort which helps them..

lectures are available at VU book shops, youtube itself, books shops of Private Virtual Campuses, Handouts are also available in hard and soft copy at internet and VU campuses book shops all over Pakistan and any where....
