a way you can do it is tighten your low E fine tuner all the way down, then tune your regular tuners to E, then when you lossen your fine tuner you should be able to get to D. light it up, watch it go, getcha pull, hope that helped

my floyd is blocked now, but when it was runnin i used to tune it to standard and have the fine tuner on the low e string down real far, so i could unscrew it and get to drop d. it might throw the rest of your guitar a little bit outta tune, but you can fix it with the fine tuners.

This was recorded in 93' so they obviously didn't have HD quality cameras back then. If you've ever listened to Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven, or Reinventing the Steel you'll see that he's got a pretty heavy sound. Especially on Far Beyond Driven. I think it does sound pretty treble-e on this video though.

The "fakes Bill Lawrence" story is B&B invention trying to capture Bill Lawrence USA business.

Both pups are slightly different.

BL USA is the one originally used by Dime, it has a treebly sharp tone ideal for heavy detuned rythm play.

B&B is close to OBL and Gibsons dual blades, fatter thicker sound, ideal for soloing, warmer but not as clear as the previous one.

you have to go through bill and becky laurence individually. they have a forum, and becky deals with the pickup orders. you pay for it first, then you get the pickup shipped to you. there is an order form. also know the 500xl is smaller than a normal humbucker, but they have the adapter plate to make it work.
