You'd be surprised. Try it sometime! Have you ever noticed you get hungry right after eating rice? That's because it's just filler, with almost no nutrition. Also makes you sleepy.
I read about that in Dr. Joel Fuhrmans 'Live to Eat' book. He said that when we eat nutrient-empty food, we still feel hungry because our nutrient needs haven't been met, even though our calorie needs may have been exceeded. When i read that he said that it all made SO much sense to me!! All the nutrient empty foods like rice, bread and pasta leaves me feeling hungry coz I'm still hungry for nutrients.
@SuperchargeMe Brown rice is good for you with a lot of vitamins, fiber, and it's also filling. Granted white rice has almost all of the nutrients stripped from it, and it's just a carb.
You can't replace rice with cauliflower and expect to be full. Cauliflower has like 2 calories compared the carbohydrate-rich rice. Just saying. You won't be full.
using cinnamon and ginger heats up the body, but I totally feel you on that one. Plus you can warm up your food in the dehydrator too (like raw cookies, pies, oatmeal, and soups).
@PhePhiHearMeSpeak you can make soups in a blendtec or vita mix that heats up the soup with centrifical force of the blades, it heats very slow and not hot enough to destroy the vitimans and live enzymes so its concidered Raw.
yes, unrefined (non-toasted) sesame oil is a lot more bland. I get an overpowering flavor blast from toasted sesame oil too. You may want to mix them to balance the flavor.
