People need to realize that Mudvayne was reveloutionary at the time,and few people knew it I did. They created a whole new style of music. They wrote and performed some amazing stuff, the drummer is amazing, bassists is out of this world. The guitarist was good. and Chad's singing was and still is very hard to pull off. night after night year after year. After world so cold they calmed down. You could start to hear it in lost and found where songs were not screaming quite as much with stuff like fall into sleep and much more of a wide genre of music. Then there was that goodbye song and then the new album was just like a new sound but the lyrics were still really important. When it first came out i was suicidal over a girl and i didnt feel quite so alone when i heard some of the songs.

I dont care what anyone says. Mudvayne in their costumes and makeup back then were absolutely raw. It helped bring out the beast within themselves on stage and gave them much better stage presense. Also it gave incredible visuals that helped identfiy with the heavy, dirty hardcore emotional driven music. Chad especially looks like he died a horrific death on another planet and came back alive on earth lol

As much as I Like Slipknot, and Mudvayne, in my personal opinion, Mudvayne are better, I dont know why, I just prefer their songs, they seem to convey more than one emotion, they are great at what they do, They are a smaller band than Slipknot, but seem to have a bigger, more powerful sound, Im guessing because of the diversity of the band members, Chad's very emotional vocals, Ryan's very intense bass lines, Matt's great drum timings and the chunky riffs Greg puts out just bring it all together
