  • I'm not much of a drummer but it seems he does a triplet(not sure) with the rack and floor tom and bass, hits the rack tom one more time and does the triplet a little more.

Again I'm a guitarist and not much of a drummer so I'm not completely sure.

    Awesome job.

  • From what i understand of the song is that Frank keeps quarternotes on the Cymbal/hats, but keeps the shuffle on the snare on &2&, &4&.

  • I have done this tune with bands that Ive played in since the 80s..It always goes over great and Ive enjoyed trying to play it like Frank Beards style...You do a good job on it too buddy..Good to see another drummers take on it.

  • how exactly is the first drum break, i can't get it to sound right

  • U do it right, man, nice work...could u give me a hand with what's going on during the underlying shuffle beat...I can't figure it out!!!!!!!!!! I know the bass drum's on 1 and "and" (1 e and a, 2 e and a, etc) and the snare on 2 and 4, but what else is happening with the ride???

  • Most drummers that have tried to play this seemingly simple "texas rock shuffle" have found they have a LOT of work in their hands and feet to do to get it down this well. Great job my young friend!

  • Yeah, that's it!!

  • i can play this, and when u do the fill after he says "i might been mistaken" u use the double bass pedal and he doesnt, its just like triplets like what epuente said
