Wow! I remember seeing these films on a PBS special years ago and loved them, especially "Bearskin" Incidentally, wasn't there a version of Rapunzel and the Frog Prince among them?

Have you never heard of the Jack tales? They are old Appalachian tales from the mountain folk in TN, VA, and NC. You should check them out.
