Love should have been at least as well known as label mates The Doors. Forever Changes is to my mind a superior album to any of The Doors LP's. Come to think of it, there are very few albums that even come close for me. Right up there with David Sylvian's Secrets of the beehive. Perhaps if Arthur had looked like Jim Morrison they might have been bigger! I remember reading many years ago that Forever Changes was Richard Butler of The Psychedelic Furs, favourite LP of all time.
i listened to ufo version.didnt like it.if your on speed maybe why you like it.this version the sound check one is real good. guitar is excellent & singer is good .a good copycat of arthur lee. i liked it. the tribute band at beer place version was awful singer cant sing at all.just horrible.
If you like this song, I recommend you hear Calexico`s version. It is off their cd, Convict Pool. I like The Damned version as well but Calexico is an awesome band.
...and it shows that a) Baby Lemonade are a good band in their own right and b) we were paying too much attention to Brian Wilson in the '60s...not that thàt was a bad thing.
Is that Robert Fripp on lead vocals, filling in for Arthur? I've never heard Fripp sing so well! Why isn't Fripp playing guitar? Where are Adrian and Tony and Bill? Where DID I get this LSD?
Thank you *so* much for this aircheck! What a wonderful bunch of benefits we've had for Arthur. Thank you for your incredible posts. I've done so much LSD since 1966 with Love at my side on retreats into wilderness areas that I've forgotten more than I learned. So, stop the self-loathing. We love you Thomas! They say that if someone remembers the '60s, they didn't experience it. Well, it's true! And thanks to you, I'm getting some of my memory back, especially through the tributes. Love, Joe
Go and see the benefit shows for Arthur Lee in NYC & LA in June/2006. Robert Plant, Ian Hunter, David Johanson, & unannounced special guests. It is gonna be a BLAST!!! I wish Arthur well & hope to see him at the shows if he is up to it.
Not bad for a sound check...love the brass :)

When I first heard this song, I didn't know who the group singing or what the name of the song was. I thought it was the Moody Blues.

Yes, love the smile and jumping up and down after the first 'verse'. Makes me smile each time I watch it.

Excellent performance for a sound check. The singer moved me with his emotion and was right on. You can tell he's a fan of Arthur Lee's too.
