good lord, look at the scoring scandal back then, 5.6 for this program from the Canadian (Brassuer & Eisler were in contention from Canada)

This is the most youthfully jubilant seamless blast through the Ice i've ever seen. Such perfect speed across the ice and in flawless unison and in exact match to the tempo and the beat of the music. As usual, amazing pair.

after they get their hands on a piece and skate to it I'm sometimes amazed other skaters even attempt to use the same music. Like Moonlight Sonata, i think a usa skater did this year and if I recall, it was a disaster, totally missing the musical beats and rhythm.

Why would anyone skate to Moonlight, or Love Story or Bolero or Schindler's List when these have been skated to as perfectly as they can possibly be skated?

i love the choreography, but i wish they hadn't worn white. the costumes are cool--sergei looks good especially--but they are hard to see against the ice

I admit that i was both extremely saddened and angry when Grinkov was cruelly taken from Gordeeva. It ISN'T fair. But they left behind their legend on the ice together.

this is my most fav amateur season of G&G. the loveliest programs--both SP and LP--the most gorgeous costumes, the most beautiful music and choreography. this was also the first time that G&G performed as an official off-ice couple. ;) what a season it must have been for them as well!
