@ConzenEW i think the big deal about em here in the u.s. is the endless potential, u can put just about any engine u want in it (ka24, rb20, sr20, rb25, ls1 etc.) there light weight well ballanced and look very clean if there built up (non-rice) like the one in the vid, there also pretty cheap and parts are easy to come by.. thats what i see in em anyway idk about everyone els but im sure that pretty much covers it.. and yes the fast and the furious is crap, i think thats what inspired rice lol

@VTCommodoreKid I live in America buddy. Out here, these cars were sold as a "240sx", overseas it's known as a 200sx or silvia. While it is an s14 chasis, it's still a 240sx. A 1998 Nissan 240sx SE..As all the paperwork, documentation, and title said it was. With that being said, YOU get it right..

@mydogzty No if youre swapping in an engine that is turboed already such as an SR20, an RB26, or a 2JZ-GTE you don't have to have one. If you add additional boost to the turbo then you really do need one. A boost controller helps to regulate the boost and allows you to add boost from inside your car.

Yeah. It's mostly for emissions though. Not so much about the cops. The car was built in Cali and they're pretty strict about modified cars out there. They're alot more leniant out here in AZ so it's common to see junked, shitty cars with half the body parts missing and no exhaust lol. I miss the car though. It's sitting as a shell in SoCal and I'm gonna be building a new one pretty soon

Hey tlieberman240, what engine are you running in your S14? Obviously it's a turbo engine (from the intercooler) but is it an SR, KA-T, Or RB series? Really wanna know.. Either way looks hot. I have a 98 S14, pearl white with a Seibon carbon Fiber hood, Vertex Lang body kit, (with optional carbon fiber under-canards on the front bumper) and im running an RB25DET in mine. Have yet to post a vid up yet though.. Anyways, nice S14 bro.

A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
