  • You know moments like this are a make or break situations. Most shows like Family Guy have tried to imitate these emotional moments but they never took a look and saw how well Futurama did it. They stopped the jokes for a minute and allowed the show to be serious. Which is something is rarely ever seen anymore. It shows control and it's done in good taste, this is one of the finest moments in Futurama.

  • /watch?v=h4Mqd98DE_c&feature=related

    (Seymour 1997-2012)

  • ahaha, I teared up just reading the description. well dang.

  • EVERYBODY READ THE DESCRIPTION! This is actually happened in real life but in different circumstances obviously.

  • Damn i havent cried like that for a very long time.... i feel i have reborn. Gosh i love THAT DOG.

  • so sad...

  • Matt Groening... U MUST do a new chapter where Fry goes back to 2000 and meets with Seymour...

  • @pililineunz Watch the movie "Bender's Big Score."

  • @pililineunz already has in the movies if im not mistaken

  • Reminds me of my little puppy dog :( I cried a little the first time I seen this

  • *tear*

*Fuck they're looking better say something witty for why your crying..*

"I'm uh watching the Micheal Jackson funeral"

    *shakes head* "Fuckin' liar"

    "Damn"

  • I've just watch this ep. I just wanna hug my dog :(

  • Proabably the sadest thing iv'e ever seen on TV.

  • every time I see this episode I cry:(

  • Yah see, the best thing about futurama is that is has emotional things like this. Other shows like family guy and south park are just purely crude humor.

  • i can't stop crying

  • he didnt forget fry im sure if he never died he would have waited there for all eternity which is why i cry at this

  • *Don't cry, don't cry, DON'T FUCKING CRY.... BAWWWW FUUUUCK*

  • Cried forever....

  • poor Seymour :'(

  • this episode always broke my heart when i saw it on adult swim :'(

  • so sad :(

  • This is as Hashiko

  • R.I.P. Seymour Asses

    1997-2012

  • Wow I seriously tears up when I saw this

  • I'm a long-haired, metal music loving bastard without any emotions. Still, this makes me cry like a little baby.

  • @Humppathetic lol at you thinking you don't have any emotions cuz you're a metalhead..

  • I cannot cout the amount of times I have seen this and it still makes me cry.

  • Haven't cried this much since the first Airbud movie and homeward bound

  • The biggest dick move ever pulled of by a writer. Everything was so sweet, but then the cutback to the montage with the music...

I didn't cry to this, but Luck of the Fryish had me bawling like a bitch..

  • This is the only episode of futurama that I despise

  • whaa i cried!

  • I don't want to cry so i just go to my dogs and tell them i love them...

  • I cried the first time i saw this

  • @TDBanimefan Man, me too. It's so sad

Just like the ending where Leela's parents are watching over her when she is growing up and where Hermes saves baby Bender from the scrap heap

  • @remc0s Although it lacked the musical montage, in addition to the episodes you mentioned I was also saddened by the one where Fry spends the entire episode furiously trying to hunt down his dead brother for stealing his 7 leaf clover and his identity, only to find out that it was his nephew who his brother named after him so his "spirit would live on". Then there's the one with the "forward time machine"... lots of sad moments in Futurama. Great show.

  • AH GOD ITS HACHI ALL OVER AGAIN!

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU CRY EVERTIM

  • i died a little inside.

  • Its so sad i love futurama

  • Everytime I see this I cry :(

  • i cry everytime i watch this its just to strong...

  • This really does tear me up, it did so even more when I learned that there are dogs who actually wait like this bound by loyalty to their owners.

  • that is so fucking sad

  • my GF STILL can't stop crying to this....WTF...someone tell the writers to make a redo on this episode and have FRY bring the dog back...PLEASE!!!!! *sniff, sniff*

  • @InvalidAuthorization You should watch the futurama movies. It gives the seymour situation a happy ending. Although, tbqh, I much prefer this ending. The ending given in bender's big score is happy, but forgettable. This ending is miserable, but lasting and powerful.

  • if this doesnt bring a tear to your eye, you have no heart.

  • forever the saddest moment on tv

  • I can't even watch this again without choking up....

  • So sad

  • He didn't forget you Fry...

  • Thanks for posting, love the song, love this episode

  • dogs do that. when it becomes a part of your life, you became the whole world of its life.

  • esta creo que es la escena que más me rompió el corazón en la vida, de todo lo que he visto en vida... </3

  • I actually cried the first time I watched this episode, I wa 19 at the time

  • This reminds me of when I had to give my dog away.

  • This made me go pet my dog :'(

  • so sad, my 7 year old sister was crying a lot after this, don't blame her

  • I haven't cried this much since I read My Little Dashie

  • i always cry with this, just a dog can wait forever for soemone

  • @JeanetteRock

That totally true man I always cry with this episode :D

  • This reminds me Hachiko: A Dog's Story so much!:)

  • open another tab and go to youtube type in god speed chicken and play the video and this video at the same time :(

  • hahahaa man im crying!! FUCK IT HURTS INSIDE BADLY!! =D

  • The most sad thing is that this actually based on reality.

In japan over 60 years ago, a dog always accompanied his owner to the trainstation, where it then would "pick his owner up" again when he came home. The man died one day though. But the dog stayed there, every day, for the rest of its life. People fed the dog and petted it, though it would always stay and wait. Today they have a statue of the dog at the same spot, reminding people of true friendship.

  • @Bratcipheo Good observation, good thing that story is already written in the videos description.

  • @southpawakros oh fuck, great.

  • @Bratcipheo lul

  • D= i fucking cried

  • I keep telling myself 'It's just a cartoon' 'It's just a cartoon' but I cry every time :'(

  • Thought I was brave enough to face this again...

2 seconds in...I had to turn it off...

    Too many memories...

    ='(

  • i always cry with this scene... it just break my hearth... I love my crazy dog!

  • SO MUCH IRONY.

  • Please don't hate me but I didn't cry watching this. Yeah, It was definitely a sad scene but i just couldn't cry

  • before this episode walking on sunshine was just a happy, campy tune for me. Now I burst into tears at the mere mention of it....

  • THOSE FUTURAMA BASTARDS. I DONT WATCH THIS SHOW TO CRY, I WATCH IT TO LAUGH!

  • what bastards diliked this!

  • I watched this and cried when I was 9, and Im crying now.

I just hate how my pc lags out when I'm watching something on youtube because a NEW ad needs to load at the top right.

  • Dogs are amazing, but I think a reason this makes us so emotional is because it puts us face to face with emotions we are afraid to confront. Todays LA Times had an article that made me think of this scene. Asian immigrants were the first immigrants to be restricted access to America, and between 1910 and 1940 they were detained and mistreated at Angel's Island in SF. An old man left China at 10 and said bye to his Mom. He recalls today, "I had no idea then, but I never would see her again."

  • If you laugh, you're a communist!

  • Stupid dust getting in my eyes

  • This is so sad it made me hate this episode!

  • This is the saddest episode of Futurama I have ever watched. One of the few cartoons that can have me crying like a baby

  • MANLY TEARS. MANLY TEARS EVERYWHERE.

  • this scene made me cry like a baby.

  • Waaaaaaaaait a minute... if Seymour waited for 12 years... this is the year he died!

  • @MickyMr95 Quick! We must find him!

  • Like the movie Hachi

  • The thing that makes this worse than the scene with Leela meeting her parents and the little montage of her growing up is that there's no happy lining to this scene. Yeah, the montage is sad, but Leela's parents watched over her, she wasn't alone. Seymore is alone and without hope of ever seeing Fry again. There's no good feeling, only loneliness and hopelessness. And goddammit, it's good writing. Excuse me while I hug myself and cry.

  • I can't stop sobbing

  • I'm crying

  • It....has barely started and im already crying

  • *Sniff.*

  • What's the name of that song playing?

  • @sicksense22 The name of the song is "I Will Wait For You" by Connie Francis.

  • Its is why Futurama will always be better than Family guy. Futurama makes you laugh and cry....

  • What is this? These strange feelings inside me... Are these tears? WHAT IS HAPPENING!?

  • :'(

  • I remember this when i was a kid, watching this on Adult Swim made me cry, now i am a man and this only brings a tear to me.

  • i cant stop crying :'<

  • I can understand if someone doesn't cry since it's a cartoon, but my god, this scene makes me bawl every time I see it.

  • Saddest, but most amazing moment of Futurama I can think of.

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ fry why you no unfrezze him

  • @Daniel2GIGG

Fry realises that he already lived a long life. What he does not realise that he lived it waiting for him.

  • @chuckawobbly Wise, wise words.

  • @chuckawobbly Which is why it makes it so sad...When I first saw this I cried, even my dad cried when he saw it.

  • @chuckawobbly but but in bender big score Frys time duplicate went back and lived with him, so we dont need to cry anymore

  • @MrATrainFromTheCity

But a paralell universe? In Jurrasic Bark, it is shown to the audience that (despite future plot turns) Seymour waited his whole life :-(

  • @chuckawobbly No, no paralell universe :)

  • @chuckawobbly Cept when he went back in time in Bender Big Break.

  • Season 4 finale was a good ending to futurama.

  • This year.

  • When I first saw this I cried I know futurama is comedy but this made me cry. Almost a yr later I finally watch hachiko old n new n anime 1trillion out of 10

  • it's like waiting for half life 3

  • there's a lot of real dogs that have done this.

  • This really is one of, if not the most heartbreaking scenes I've ever seen.

  • I just can't stand it...

  • :( my intention is to laugh not cry futurama :( why would you do this to me, I just watched Hachi a week ago!

  • Can't watch it without crying.

  • This scene made me cry, for real...

  • One of the best Futurama's yet.

  • why do i watch this knowing what itll do to me? best episode of futurama no cartoon comes close to having their depth and character development.

  • The other song that plays after is sad. Little Bird, Little Bird.

  • I cried :(

  • this makes ne think about max and cry

  • @2142Fritz who's max?

  • @bishoptutu9999 my dog i had to put down. the thing that killed me about it was i would of had to probably had to of put her down this year .but i had to put her down about 2 or 3 years ago because of cancer

  • seymour waiting no longer . :)

  • The second saddest moment in Futurama. Right behind when Fry finds out how much hos brother loved him. .
