  • where in spain is this? Is this out of date? In Gran Canaria it is much more expensive but that may ony be the Canaries.

  • @whitemouse1985 About a year and a half ago but prices here are roughly the same now. On the islands it costs a bit more because all has to be imported right

  • @Valprop thanks, yeah they do import a lot although the local produce is not so cheap as this either. It is however still cheaper and tastier than what is available in the UK.

  • @whitemouse1985 Not as homogenous I think. Fruit in the Uk tends to be too perfect, at least in the supermarkets. Here we have ugly looking fruits and veg that actually taste of something but would never pass the supermarket test

  • In Panama, food is cheaper but in some supermarkets the food is expensive.

There are open outdoor marketts that are rarely seen in the Southern states

of the United States and you can buy fruits, vegetables and even meals for

very low costs. It helps the poor feed their families.

Here in Texas,I find the food a bit expensive depending on where I buy

them. Walmart has average prices, but HEB and other supermarkets are raising

the price of food.I pray that the prices don't go up anymore.

  • wow. but what about jobs?

  • damn !! $8 is cheap!!! fruit here and veggies suck and on top of it expensive!

  • @bcnfreak I think it all depends on season. The fruit and veg this year has been really juicy and cheap. Probably due to all of the rain this year!

  • Fruit is cheaper in the UK.

  • @rzubr That is a joke right!

  • @Valprop At my local street market in North London, £1 buys me any of the following:

    bananas - 3-4kg

    mangoes - 2kg

green seedless grapes - 2.3 kg

    cherry tomatoes - 2 kg

    2 whole pineapples (1.6 kg)

    kiwi - 2 kg

    pears - 2 kg

    avocados - 1.3 kg

Sainsburys, Tesco, etc. are much more expensive though.

  • Thank you, Im a fruitarian and Im moving to spain so i found this video very useful :)
