"The Rapture" was dreamt up about 175 years ago by a woman in England named Margaret MacDonald. It was introduced to the U.S. by John Nelson Darby (invented Dispensationalism). American Evangelists ate it up! Scofield embedded marginal notes in his version of the KJV. Once it was in the Bible (howbeit, marginal notes) it just had 2b true. BUT it is actually a MONEY MAKING ENTERPRISE that gullible people support. FYI: Natural disasters have been occuring since the Stone Age.

I have a problem with the setting of dates for the return of Christ. First, Jesus said that no one knows the hour of His return (Mt 24:36). Second, those who set dates have to revise their schedule when the Lord does not return on the date they set. He will come back in His time, not ours.

that is not all true, the rapture of the chrurch starts off the 7 year tribulation and THEN jesus will come for 1000 year reign and distroy the earth to make a new one (and a new heaven) yes he is coming back but the rapture don't mean he is coming back for a third time. it just means the last seven years are here

Considering other religions and cultures it's funny that slavery is brought up at all. They treated women like property and slaves were worked to death. It seems the God of the Bible was making provisions for our basic selfish nature and had the slaves treated with far more dignity...and chances for becoming free...than any other culture.

You and I do not agree, that is certain. Slavery was part of the ancient world. There are some who feel that slaves were better off in the ancient world being slaves because there would have been no way for them to earn their way on their own. And yes God did order the anhilation of some groups of people after they refused to turn to Him in faith. But all of that was more than 2000 years ago. My God is the God of today, and it is because of Him that I reject slavery today. I have no more to say.

Conclusion - the Rapture occurs SIMULTANEOUSLY with the 2nd Coming and the Resurrection.
It is NOT 7 yrs before the 2nd Coming.
It is NOT 1,007 yrs before the Resurrection.
There is ONLY ONE Resurrection at the END of the "Millennium". (1Cor 15:23-26)

But, for the record, I do not own slaves nor approve of slavery, advocate the death sentence for anyone who works on Saturday (the real Sabbath), nor the killing of disobeient children. God had a reason for those laws. But that was more than 2000 years ago. Be sure you read the New Testament, too, before you decide that Christianity is "barbaric," an adjective which does not fit Bible Christianity at all.

Yes. The Bible did permit slavery in ancient times. But those who owned slaves were instructed to treat them as human beings. Read Philemon in the New Testament. And, it was Wilberforce in England and Lincoln in the US who were both led to lead in the abolishment of slavery because of their Christian faith.

A Math professor began a complex calculation (the knd that takes 4 chaulkboards and 2 hrs to do). A student interupted with an error he saw. The Prof turned and yelled, "Young man, I have been doing this equation for 22 years. I don't make mistakes!" 2 Hours later the final answer was incorrect. Finally he asked the student where he went wrong. It was a simple addition error at the beginning that threw the whole equation off.
Your 'simple error' was to begin with a futurist interpretation.

Satan wasn't always evil. He used to be the most beautiful and powerful angel in heaven until he let his power go to his head. His was Lucifer which means beautiful. Satan decided that he deserved to be incharge of heaven. God created hell then kicked Satan out of heaven. The words "seven years great tribulation" are not in the Bible. All of creation is in travail for the manifestation of the sons of God (Rom 8:18-23), not their disappearance! Make your confession of faith the words the Holy Spirit chose for His revelation. Use a concordance, verifying the important statements from original languages. This "racial dispensationalism" doctrine is an Antichrist lie!

"The Rapture" was dreamt up about 175 years ago by a woman in England named Margaret MacDonald. It was introduced to the U.S. by John Nelson Darby (invented Dispensationalism). American Evangelists ate it up! Scofield embedded marginal notes in his version of the KJV. Once it was in the Bible (howbeit, marginal notes) it just had 2b true. BUT it is actually a MONEY MAKING ENTERPRISE that gullible people support. FYI: Natural disasters have been occuring since the Stone Age.

Maybe you're talking about the expression rapture as being brought by someone but the truth is that these profecies were writen couple of thousand years ago and Jesus himself was the one who promised He would be back and it was John the Baptist who had the vision and who wrote the book of revelations which are the profecies of the end of the days. But there again holy water and immucalate mary are definetly not Biblical as faithful827 would suggest, his/her cult added that to their Bible. I have a problem with the setting of dates for the return of Christ. First, Jesus said that no one knows the hour of His return (Mt 24:36). Second, those who set dates have to revise their schedule when the Lord does not return on the date they set. He will come back in His time, not ours.

jegjegod.. read the bible b4 you send out comments like the one you just put.. God Said NOONE KNOWS THE DAY OR THEE HOUR WHEN CHRIST WILL RETURN NOT EVEN THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN ONLY GOD THE FATHER

The Bible says in Matthew 24 that we do not know the hour of the coming of our Lord! And Matthew 24 also tells us to watch, we know not the hour, or day he is coming! Dates don't mean nothing, The Rapture can take place at anytime, we just got to watch, in a twinkle of an eye the rapture is coming we just need to keep on praying, seeking God more, read our scriptures, praising God and believe that he is the true and living and living God! funny how you use parts of 1 Cor. 15:52, because verse 52 also says "at the last trump"...
and that is when the rapture will occur... after the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31)
