i am trying to build one for my set you to run my excavating equipment off of i live in pa i have been making bio for 4 years now i just need to step it up a little
Depends on the type of pump used and if you get everything sealed up tight. For this demo I just used an old refrigerator pump I had laying around. They are not made run continuously under high loads so it reached 240F by the time I was done.
If you can get things sealed up air tight, then it's best to turn off the pump once U pull down the vac. Some units use an oil bath filter that will catch contaminates, that's the best route go.
Also if your going to run it continuous, long hose helps.

Nope, just need a bigger pump to hold the vac while pulling air threw the system.

Can you leave the vacuum pump running for the whole experiement?
Or do you valve it off after it has pulled the vacuum? If not, dont you risk getting some methanol in your vacuum pump?
