  • This video clip proves once and for all how well-acted this show was. Beyond the acting in so many big budget hollywood movies. Both James and Aida were so spot on with their characters it brings chills watching them together. I love the way Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and Queer as Folk incorporated music into the moment. Riveting TV.

  • If u r having mommy issues I suggest u just press n repeat 5

  • i dont think it had anything to do with jealously, seemed more like tony knew that she was trying to just hide it and keep it all in, but really, tony knew she was a ticking time bomb :P

  • The best ending to a Soprano's episode. Love it!

  • .. hahaha`..Mahatma Ghandi over here ! ...`

  • tony saves her from imploding of anger...good brother haha

  • does anyone know the end of the song at the end please? thanks in advanse

  • @DirtyyChimp The Kinks - I'm not like everybody else

  • @DirtyyChimp Really? The video is titled,"I'm Not Like Everybody Else" That is the song. The Kinks are the band that does it.

  • If Tony is an angry slob.

Everyone must be an angry slob~!

  • I don't know why but it seems that it's very easy to forget how brilliant the Kinks are, then you listen to their albums and you remember...

  • The Kinks closing for Tony Soprano :)

  • Tony owned her good in this one

  • Wow. The Sopranos has so many great cinematic moments, I lost count halfway through Season 1. But this one...amazing. You finally see Janice acting like a civilized human being, a very rare sight, and Tony sees right through her act. He baits, she bites, cue the music...

    I miss Sopranos...

  • Can somebody tell me what's the name of the song at the end of this episode?

  • @grego233 ARE YOU BLIND, DUDE..?

it's on the title, The Kinks - I'm not Like Everybody Else

  • @grego233 Its The Kinks - I'm not like everybody else from the live cd To the bone 1996

  • One of the many great scenes from TV's Best Dramatic Series.

  • And Tony pushes all her buttons to make her lose it, ha ha ha.

  • What a great series. Every ending to every episode was always something new and fascinating. They never spoon fed you the show. They just shoved it in your mouth like Tony eating Sunday dinner and left YOU to digest it.

    'Nuff said.

  • Thumbs up if you think they should BRING BACK THE SOPRANOS!

  • It mirrors the scene earlier in the season where Junior provokes Tony over dinner about playing football....

  • I lost a little respect for tony in this part of the sopranos.

  • I always hated Tony's heavy breathing

  • @MobHeataEnt well if you weighed 300 pounds you would be breathing like that too. He can't help it.

  • Sopranos taught me French. Who said TV isn't education?

  • Oh man this or Where's Johnny is easily my favorite ending.

  • This scene is burnt into my memory. Epic acting.

  • lmao brilliant scene

  • he knew she was full of shit

  • tony just wanted to show her true colors and that she was being fake thats all this was about ,her happiness was fake

  • which season is this

  • Scene and song giving off vibe like: "Fuck hope. Humanity is just screwed."

Tony's like: "I feel like shit, and I need someone down here with me, so I can step on'em and climb a bit higher.

  • One of my favs. "I'm the boy's uncle! I don't got a right to ask?" What a prick. I love how Chase cut the first four credits to the drum snares too. Weaves the music even more tightly into the picture. Never get tired of this series.

  • yeaaah is very good this ending, one of my favourites. but, tell me something, in season 1 ,I think episode 6, when Junior becomes a new boss, what music you guys in the US got at the ending? is it xzibit's Paparazzi or not?? thank you

  • They should bring this show back. There is so much fuckin shite on TV and this pisses all over the rest. And could do for years to come.

  • Great ending ! 2:53 : I love that self-setisfied smily on Tony's face :D What a tipical behavior

  • fuckin epic... fuckin beautiful...

  • Could of ended the entire series there and then and it would have been perfect, genius.

  • cool as fuck

  • Fuckin classic.....

  • 2 people are named harpo and didnt like tony mocking their names...:P

  • Its not about tony beeing a cunt, its how he cant have it that jany is changing. She is becoming the thing he wants to be but fails all the time.

  • Probably the meanest thing I saw Tony do lol

  • Love this episode. Tony fucks everybody, and everybody hates him. Beautiful. And who the fuck are the two gays pressing the dislike button?

  • this is my favourite scene in sopranos, best ending ever. great add getting the build up to it too, nice one

  • "they speak a different language now with these computers">bobby

  • The most singularly cuntish thing Tony ever did.

  • Could be the most matched song to Tony.

  • Tony is such an asshole .Love him ! :D

  • Best ending ever.

  • I think the whole deal is not about whether Janice can change or not but, if she deserves to change and be happy.

  • "I don't have a right to ask? I'm the boy's uncle!"

    LOL

  • sacre bleu where is me mama. ahahhaha

  • my favourite ending, haha tony is such a prick

  • Reminds me of "No Country for Old Men"

The way Bardem just walks out to the distance, and so does Gandolfini.

This show, truly is a masterpiece.

  • god damn! i had almost same incident with my sister! i started talking about one of her kids during family gathering and she went absolutely apeshit on me from out of nowhere! 0 to 60 in 1 second! though all her kids live at home. lol that was fun!

  • @dr1345 : Think we've all had similiar family encounters over a meal. It's a wonder I survived a couple of Thanksgivings.

  • @eric5906 yep, i started getting in fights with my father since i was 15. one time he had a stitching awl to my eye, saying he will take my eye out. we don't fight anymore coz i grew bigger than him.

  • the song was perfect, and the long shot of him walking down the nighbor hood block, pleased as punch with himself. He is one miserable f*ck, also in this episode tony puts his bartender in the hospital for the third time, it was hilarious, That dumb f*cks always gotta through his two cents in,

  • Tony's original voice sucks hard imo. It's the only one i like better in german.

  • i had to explain to my sister that why tony does this is to show janice that she's just bullshitting herself and that people dont and cant change their natures.

  • @GoinDownToJunkieTown

    fucking exactly

  • YOU SHOULD SEE MY OTHER THE SOPRANOS VIDEOS...

  • tony you cunt!!LOL!!!

  • Something told me since Janice was riding high and FINALLY controlling her anger Tony would do something to kick start it again lol

  • `.. Mahatmha Gandhi over here..,nice ` :D

  • sacre bleu!! where is my mama!! LMAO!!!!!

  • One of the best scenes ever on Sopranos. Great song.

  • what a fucking great song.

  • great !!

  • and bobby cant say shit is the best part

  • Good work Tony. My sister is a fat pretentious fuck like she is. I love winding her up. Nice.

  • I wonder why they didn't mention The Kinks in the closing credits.

  • I don't think they mention anyone in the credits of ANY episode

  • he kilt her! lol

  • Yeah he knew Janice was full of shit with her "Happiness". Tony called her on it, and we got the answer. Classic. I love this scene.

  • 2:30

  • If you're really interested in not being like everybody else check out "Rob Menard" on youtube.

  • I need more Sopranos please!

  • what a terrific asshole. Funny

  • This song is great, and a great funny ass scene.

  • love the way tony runs from her! the boss of new jersey!

  • The Sopranos always ends beautifully.

  • Haha awesome moment;]

  • One of the best endings in the series

  • @dpman72 THE KINKS SONG WAS SUPERB

  • @MrPaulwaller70 yeah song and scene made it my favourite ending:)

  • @dpman72 yes i am agree with you I LOVE THIS SHOW

  • `.. Mahathma Gandhi over here ...` :D

  • The only episode where the credits start rolling before the screen has faded to black.

  • what a miserable fucking douchebag tony is in this scene... but that is what gives his character such duality... you love him and you hate him.

  • It definitely was tle live version

  • I did not add this version, this is the original.

  • No, I did not add this music, this is original, you remember wrong...

  • but i didn't found this version in a store. there is no lp/cd-live-version?

  • @jtjcp88 I wonder what's french-canadian for I have corncobs tween my ears

  • Yeah Delicious. Cracks me up everytime

  • David Chase and Martin Scorcese are the best in the biz at using music, period.

  • Zac Snyder is fastly rise up that list...

  • Sacre Bleu where is mi mama!?

  • ..yeah he was jealous and yeah he was testing her.... and hell yeah Gandolfini is a genius

  • Janice was taking anger management classes, and tony wanted to know if these classes really work lol

  • Sacre Bleu!!! haha i want to be like T.

  • As stated before;1 of the best endings, "Boca" from the 1st season is another one.

This is one of the first times where i felt true hatred towards Tony.He gets more arrogant during the seasons.Janice is a dodgy biatch for sure but in this scene she's finally in a good spot.

Tony can't take that. For one he thinks it's one of her other fases, and also because he's jealous, same aggressive

youth but she's working it out. He wants to show to her that her pursuit to better yourself is futile.

  • and he is right...it sure was one of janices fases :)

  • I disagree. I think Janice was asking for it.

  • By being reasonable and nice? She's just happy and Tony is jealous. That's all there is to it.

  • I agree with w00oo00oot (below). Janice had a son and she walked out on him. She's bad news.

  • Right on the money, infinite8888

  • lmao ... priceless

  • haha i just love this...best sopranos ending in my oppinion

  • i thought the end song was a cover version not by the Kinks. anyone know?

  • it's by the kinks but they play it live :)

gimme ur mail i can send it to you :D

  • What, in return for a large sum of money?

You aint gettin me that easy you bastard.

    j/k

  • ;))))))

  • hi do u still have the kinks song sacre bleu that was used at the end of the Sopranos, id love to have it

  • Shows Tony 's real self, a bully who cant stand to see others happy because he suffers from depression everyone else and too

  • .. Gandolfini is true genius.. great man , this is called ` total acting`

  • I love this song and this episode was clasic I love the Sopranos!!!!!

  • This shit is so funny

    God save the Kinks

    And Ray and Dave

    And James Gandolfini

  • once again 5 stars

  • "Yeah... delicious" cracks me up every time

  • No other actor could have played Tony Soprano. Gandolfini made the character. And so Big Jimmy Gandolfini will be forever known as "the fat fucking crook from New Jersey".

  • wtf write a book

  • my personal best ending

  • The best episode ending for me! fall, tony walking in the street ... beautifull ... could have been the end of the serie for me

  • classic scene love it

  • 3:01

  • Its a show Marty, thats what the character Tony Soprano does, he puts people down. If you think this episode would of been better If Tony just congratulated Janice with her success in therapy I dont agree. This makes The Sopranos different than all the other trash on TV!

  • lol

  • Oh it was a great show. And Gandolfini is a wonderful actor. Don't get me wrong. It's just that he gave such a believable performance and I get so involved with the grotesque monster that he portrayed that I ended up having no sympathy for him and realising that he is such a prick there is no hope for him.

I believe the character of Dr Melfi came to the same conclusion.

  • I thought Tony was the only non-prick on the show. He saw Janice was a phony and gave her a poke - of course the whole facade unraveled. Melfi committed malpractice by cutting him loose. He went out there and 'earned' it, both girls cashed his checks.

  • He was a total prick. Anybody else's weakness was his opportunity. Look at how he dragged his cousin Tony B back in when he was trying to go straight, and made sure that the sports shop owner would get so indebted to him that he could bust out his business.

And as for Melfi committing malpractice: she thought she wasn't doing him any good so she decided she could no longer "cash his cheques" as you put it. What's unethical about that?

Scumbag. Why couldn't they roll an SUV over HIS face?

  • Tony B was flawed and ready for a fall.. "Never bet" was Tony S's father's lesson after cutting the shop owner's finger off (hence I thought it was bad writing to have Tony get into cash flow trouble over his own losses - he had not seemed to sports bet before that) - and Melfi had a professional duty to ensure that he found competent help. Very bad writing that she would just cast him off like that. So Tony helps many, many people, but I agree it is not out of generosity but for control.

  • 5 stares

  • Thanks a lot for posting this scene. Great song to go with a powerful moment in the episode. What a helluva' show, The Sopranos.

  • One of my favourite scenes and thank you for including all the credits for the sake of the song and the moment.
