Heard this song in a grocery store two days ago. So I decided to copy the lyrics and find it. So glad I did! This song is absolutely beautiful and brilliant.
This is an incredibly powerful song. Thank you for an amazing video, too:) I saw them in person many times, but at the Cincinnati Concert hall with an amazingly small audience in an acoustical miracle... I will never forget.
Thank you for these beautiful pics, Jenni, and thanks for including this lovely song by The Indigo Girls - I would never have been introduced to these awesome artists, without Tustin Public Library offering their CD for rent.
Sure looks like a bunch of shots along Hiway 20 in the North Cascades and Methow Valley of Washington, Wallace Falls State Park, and some Montana shots?
I remember this song always in my heart and soul!!!These gals break my heart and make my heart burst in enthusiasm and such awesome excitement when they perform!!! They have a beautiful harmony that is so excellent and it makes me feel free and ultimate peace and happiness!!! I love the Indigo Girls!!! I will never forget seeing them live at CW Post University many years ago!!!
When you are looking for which direction to go , always come back to the watershed, start at the top take a spill catch a breeze. Don't stand still....I can fly as the crow flies and always get used to a country mile. Every choice is worth my while..... No looking back. Awesome video, thanks for the beautiful pics/slideshow. :) Blessings to all!
The anticipation for this album was like ....waiting it out for Santa Claus on Christmas Night. And of course from the artwork to the last note, I was
so thrilled. The best on the album is by far Watershed and The Girl With The Wait Of The World In Her Hands, both Emily Saliers compositions. She is one of America's finest songwriters, a real treasure. Thank you for this beautiful video and for making this post. You did a great job. It's awesome.
I always liked this song, but a number of years ago, I was in therapy, dealing with a major depression and a messed-up life, and once at random I played this album, and the song had a billion times more meaningful. Suddenly it was all about where I was in my therapy, how I had so many choices ahead and it was worth testing them all to see how things worked, and it wouldn't work to rush things. For me, this song was all about optimism and healing.
I saw these women 3 times in concert with a Gf of mine , she was a big fan of their music. She and I haven't been together for years but the Indigo Girls are just one of one of the many, many positive things this woman brought into my life. Hearing the music is bittersweet.
i grew up listening to them. I LOVE this song. It takes me back the the road trips me and my mom use to take. we'd do a duet of this song, and many more by the indigo girls. I LOVE them and what they stand for. ^_^
I've loved this song ever since I was 9 and I first heard it. This video means so much to me. I love the concept that just remembering that it's 'now' and not 'then' or 'when' that matters. Thank you so much.
This song holds so much meaning to me. A song about reaching a crossroads and how powerful that can be. You have taken two of my favorite soul reaching things, Indigo Girls and photographs of nature and put them together and added my trademark, the word peace! Thank you Well done...you rock!
Since I found this video post, I have returned to it every day after work. This song has been stuck in my head for the past week. But just recently, I have been taking in all the wonderful photography JenniStevens added to her post! I really love how she panned around the pictures. Some she pans across, others she zooms in or out! She makes the pictures look like video using this technique! I wonder if these pictures were also taken by her? The colors are stunning! Great job!
I remember when this song was popular--I was a college boy searching for a smart, independent, but down-to-earth woman who could let me honestly love her as I worked out my family's womanizing influences. I will never forget the college woman I developed this type of relationship with. She & her best friend had awesome voices & sang the Watershed song to me! My soul glistened! I think she is currently in some band called Peanut Butter and Julie! I really miss her & those days, I learned a lot!
A reminder of how fragile life can be, and how short. That we need to take time to stand in the "Now", and not forget how we got "Here". That it is the only antidote to discouragement. Thank you Amy and Emily.

For me, this song has always had a depressing quality to it. Yet, on occasion, I am sure to search for it and listen--as I've done here.

This is possibly my favorite Indigo Girls song... It's really a three-way tie between Watershed, Three Hits, and Keeper of My Heart...
