I stumbled across the idea for the modification as my girlfriends only negative point (which is admittedly a small one) was that she found it hard to draw back hard enough to produce enough vapour and hit. I played around with a couple of spare cartridges and decided to put a couple to increase the air intake..... and I lucked out and it worked :o)
