  • I always liked this tune

  • What a treat to see him do this song.

  • This is, I think, my favorite thing on the internet. Wonderful performance.

Actually, this performance "feels" like Dylan doing Don't Think Twice.

    Just great.

  • This is, I think, my favorite thing on the internet. Wonderful performance.

  • Classic Legendary Awesome. I'm so elated to hear his own personal interpretation.

  • Glad you were able to do it. After having been a fan of JDL's for a long time, I recall tuning into a singer on, I believe, the Nashville music channel. I didnt know who he was but was thinking, this guy is GREAT! Turned out it was JDL doing a song quite awhile after his 'fame' years. Would love to be able to see that clip dug up-it was awesome!

  • When was this video taped? Last i heard John was in Durham, NC? Thanks for the posting--awesome.

  • @prinecash

No video of this commercially available. I've posted it with the help of the Loudermilk family.

  • I really like him :) Great composer.

  • An amazing piece of musical history. Than you!

  • Loudermilk was probably the first mass-appeal artist to start using lyrics that needed to be listened to.

Bob Dylan owes more to him than he usually admits.

  • go uncle john! <3 you!

  • What a treat to John D. himself performing this great song, and his antics are so funny. Thanks for posting this gem.

  • Funny how your memory is but I got it on itunes and found it way too fast!

  • Hahaha, it never occured to me that I could get it on iTunes although I've purchased other music from there before. I thought I'd find the track here on YouTube.

  • Best way to describe Johns' many talents is to refer to him as a Master Musician...I've been collecting his music since the 50's.
