I don't like this :( I've read "Wicked" and Elphaba (Wicked witch) is good. In the story, she survives because her love, Fiyero (Scarecrow), makes her pretend to die and hide in a secret trap door in the floor where she "melted". Fiyero was once a human, but because he didn't give up where Elphaba lived (prior to the killing), they tortured him and Elphaba turned him into a Scarecrow so he couldn't feel pain. Tin-man was a munchkin.
