I was in the 7th grade in 1977, and everytime this song came on, I would get a lump in my throat, because the guy I had such a crush on seemed to always be somewhere around. He was different, he couldn't hear. The other girls ignored him. But, to me he was a dream come true. I would sit and think of him holding my hand, maybe a kiss. I look back and remember I learned this song in sign language. I was playing it one day, doing the sign language, and he watching me.

The concert, formal dinner reservation afterwards near Disneyland. It was the first time he put his arm around me, when they sang, "NEVER MY LOVE". It was heaven. I told God, one sweet day, I was going to marry him. Then Vietnam. He enlisted. We became lost to each other. I've never stopped loving him.

I was in the 7th grade in 1977, and everytime this song came on, I would get a lump in my throat, because the guy I had such a crush on seemed to always be somewhere around. He was different, he couldn't hear. The other girls ignored him. But, to me he was a dream come true. I would sit and think of him holding my hand, maybe a kiss. I look back and remember I learned this song in sign language. I was playing it one day, doing the sign language, and he watching me.

My best friend and boyfriend took me to Melodyland Theater back in the 1960's to see The Association. We were high school sweethearts. He planned the most romantic evening. The concert, formal dinner reservation afterwards near Disneyland. It was the first time he put his arm around me, when they sang, "NEVER MY LOVE". It was heaven. I told God, one sweet day, I was going to marry him. Then Vietnam. He enlisted. We became lost to each other. I've never stopped loving him.
