@jessi341 Lots of people ask this. :) I used to wonder too. They're not a show or manga, theyr;re singing synthesizers. They;re computer programs that people make sing, and videos are made for them. There are lots of characters for each voice. Theres Rin and len, Miku, meiko, Kaito, Gakupo, and a bunch of fan mades. :) the more you watch the more you'll understand. for a while I was like, "whaaa?"

I think Miku liked Len but Rin confessed to Len and then she got mad and pushed them off the cliff. Len survives but Rin dies and so later, by his own free will, out of sadness, Len kills himself. Kaito is telling the story about it.

Kaito is like a wraith or something and he's singing a story about three kids who were friends but the two girls (Miku and Rin) liked the one boy (Len) and Rin was very jealous because Miku liked him. Soooo, Miku brought them to a pit or a cliff and pushed them both off. Len survived but Rin died, leaving Len depressed. Years (or less I's not sure) later he went back to the same pit, and I think at that point he was contemplating suicide.

Basically, Kaito was saying "Sucks to be you"
