they don't write their own music, yes~ but their producer is an amazing writer.to me a song doesn't need to be wrote by the artist for it to still be good. keibetsu, mokugekisha, beginner are still lyrically good songs. one of their song Rider is dedicated to a fan that passed away, even tho they didn't write it, the girls still put their feelings into singing the song for that fan. and there's no way a bad song can sell over 1 mil no matter how much you market them.
and akb voices aren't special..though DiVA and NO3B sub unit is pretty decent tbh, the rest do sound bad but the thing about AKB is because they're "normal", even the girls admit it themselves they're not that good at singing, but they work really hard to make up for it and i honestly think they have fun being in akb, it appeal to other people who working hard too.

But isn't it impressive when a singer/musician writes their own songs? Yes, they are both female artists but you might not be aware that it's actually important to know that their purpose is quite different. A lot of people know that IDOL music and J-ARTIST music are not to be compared. I wouldn't even compare a girl band to an idol group :/ they're just different and it's unfair.

C'est ce genre de groupe qui change le Japon présentement...Il y a des points positifs comme donner 620,000,000 yen aux victimes du séisme, mais il y en a qui sont négatifs aussi.
