@bigdulg You don't, it will act as a good nutrient source for your plants, but you must have a good filter to break down the ammonia and stuff.

Don't know why but I think your fish likes the tank when the lights are off and plants are all waving in the darkness and all the fish are swimming around. Got my tank sorted. I hope no other disaster happens with my tank. Fishes are in waiting for the water to settle down for the next video.

I have a 40g tank that I recently cleaned completely. I was going to plant some dirt/ecocomplete but I'm afraid I don't have enough lighting to keep the plants growing and be the best they can be. How much lighting do I need? How much is this? Where can I find it? haha, thanks.
