Through my interpretation, the video is representing identity, and the desire of how we want to belong.

In the video, we see the doll figure constantly trying to reach out, trying to change in a continuous momentum to 'fit in', to fulfil the sense of belonging. However, despite the momentary relief of feeling 'accepted' in the beginning, the expectancy to be accepted becomes more unreachable because she's becoming a person she isn't. Consequently, in the end the imbalanced

equilibrium ultimately destroys her. As you cannot be someone who you are not. Likewise, the lyrics in the song mimics the same meaning. "The world is just an illusion trying to change you", illustrates how the 'world' (friends, social norms, etc) pressures us to change to be accepted, and they can become an illusion to our personal identity. "Please don't change" rings to us that regardless of temptations to become aligned to the world, we must not change who we truly are.
