Barry sanders for the easy win. No fullback until 1997, and when he gets one what does he do 2,000 baby. 5.0 yards per carry.......that says it all.

emmitt gave a great speech in his induction tonight, 8/7/10. very good speaker! emmitt deserved every accolade he received and approached the game the way it should be done. However, he had a great o line to run behind his whole career, unlike payton. from 1975 - 1982, payton got his yards with on his own and in those chicago winters. watch payton highlights from 75-80 and see what walter fought through.

@TWAvegas Before Terrel Davis or O.J. would be Bo Jackson. Like Davis, the numbers COULD have been great, but his body failed him! It was a horrible injury, and if he stayed healthy...who knows. O.J. was great. He wouldn't be far from this list. Maybe 13-17. Earl Campbell and Bo are just better in this one man's opinion. And Bo was good enough to get a pass on just the raw talent he showed. Guys like Eddie George, Emmitt, and Marcus Allen, and Jerome Bettis were the toughest! Bo had more skill.

We don't know why he retired early, like Sanders, except that they weren't given the respect due from their organizations, and they were slowing down. Emmitt slowed down fairly early in his career, but was tough enough to push it out. Dickerson had a few good years. Dorsett was so quick and amazing to watch.

@MrGoatgood Faulk was so great not only for his running talent, but his ability to catch the ball. Dickerson and Dorsett are just above him because they were so great as true runners. But as an overall football player, it's hard not to look at Faulk as easily a top-5 all-arounder! In fact, I dare you to find 10 NFL ALL TIME Tight Ends who have more recieving yards in their careers than Faulk. And then he ran for over 10,000 yards rushing!

yea he had arguably the best O-line of all time but Barry will always be 2nd best because he quit in his prime...u learn very early, quitters never win & winners never quit. emmit was too small (barely 5ft.9in) slow (4.6-40) and not big enough (maybe 190lbs) but all that didnt matter because he had more heart and courage in his pinky than barry had in his entire body...thats why hes the best. we can go on and on about wat ifs but just take it as is and deal with it...barry quit plain and simple
