I have gotten used to it lol actually running it at 98% now and slept with it next to me bout 4 feet or so away and didn't even notice forgot i set it that high. Only time i lower it is when watching a movie go down to like 75% or so.
or maybe you know a link i can go to but i just dont trust anyone and your good so thats why im asking you Here is my system i got evga x58 with core i7 920 with 6gbs of g skill ddr3 1600mhz with evga 9800gx2 with ABS Tagan bz series 800 watt modular power supply with coolermaster v8 with
2 x Western Digital Caviar 500gb with antec 1200 if this helps any
Nice Rick! I know you can go alot higher though, my sli 260s are running about that (i had it running at 720 core with linked shader clock and 1180 memory so your 280 should be able to pwn that. keep up the good work!
Nice clocks rick but I wanna see those shader clocks upped. I'm after the palit 2gb version of the gtx 285, but my current card can clock the shaders up to 2ghz. I really want to see how close the gt200 series can get to that. What you need is a waterblock then you can really push the overvolt.
but is you latest video so I'll let you the message here... as you may know am putting together my website and NMC Forum so would you like to have so kind of space or subforum for the f@h team: Overclocking Legends- also I can make the graphic header for the team too so let me know man...
youve never used a 200 series card have you? on crysis with 80% fans and overclocked cards i was running up to 80c... they run fine at higher temps... (yes i know 80c is crazy high but they worked fine so no complaints)
I thought we were speaking of cpu's, and my 3870X2 Overclocked runs at around 66c load, I know, I think I was just mistaken with what it was we were speaking of.
unfortunately no, i bsod after an hour or two and when i restart it had removed cudart.dll, the only way i can get it back is to install cuda tools and that version of the file makes folding run slow as crap
Wow, EVGA must have sent me a bad GTX 280 when I play games my temps get up to 79 and usually 69~74 at stock settings...

ragmunk 3 years ago
11c is godly, 20c is amazing, 30c is fantastic, 40c says you're using stock, 50c means you need case fans

whats a good program to check for stability? for gpu
lil0egy0kid 3 years ago
furmark
LoCoBoi187 3 years ago
ATI TOOLS and games like crysis are best. I found out furmark will let you go much higher but other things will artifact faster.
RickArter 3 years ago
Do you even play games with that one or do you only have it for overclocking?. lol :)!

SGFVIDEOS 3 years ago 2
Once I get my games reinstalled I will, but mostly I have my hardware for overclocking and benchmarking.
