I used to shave my legs when I needed it and I never had any problems. About a month ago I used wax (Veet wax strips) because I wanted my legs hair-free for longer than a day (yeah, that's how fast my hair grows) and now I have lots and lots of ingrown hair in my legs! The itching is unbearable! What can I do to prevent this from happening and what can I do to fix it now?

what about epilating? I epilate my bikini line and get red lumps (dnt think they are ingrown hairs?) and ingrown hairs. Is epilating just as bad as shaving?

Both shaving and waxing gives me ingrown hair but in shaving they are on the surface in waxing they are deep in the skin, horrible! and epilators are the worst one.

All this is full out lies. Waxing gives more ingrown hair then shaving and. The closer the "shave", the bigger risk of ingrown hair.

@enigmaticfille You have to see that ingrown hairs are very normal,some skins are prone to them, the day that you going to get waxed don't use tight clothes, don;t use any mineral oil after wax,some place uses very bad products to remove the wax off the skin,and all over the world people uses some dirty and contamined waxed,so becarefull with that!

Waxing makes ingrowns even worse! Exfoliating has helped a little, but I still get them a lot.

@thispartsux Try to exfoliate after 3 days of getting waxed,clock wise movements,every 3 days with olive oil and sugar from you pantry!!

seriously man i got ingrown hairs on my chest im so depressed waxing caused more ingrown than using hair removal cream i might see a doctor now i ripped my skin trying to get rid of it cause its so deep

@oxbadcoded I am sorry this happend to you! I've seen this before,I don't know why some guys breaks out really bad in all parts of the body that got waxed. I think the hair is thicker and irritades the skin!

waxing wont get rid of the problem for good, but it has prevented a lot of my ingrowns from coming back. its helped my skin recover i'll never stop waxing thats for sure.

what i ddi was wait for the bump to grown then it turned into a scab like thingy and there was a white part, so i took tweezers and pulled the white part.. and yes very much to my surprise the ingrown hair came out!

but marya i have more gud idea tip for the removal of hairs tht is apply a mask of a mixure of 1 table spoon fresh lemon juice and four table spoon honey in the direction of hairs growthrinse after 10 .15 minutes apply twica weak and ths is for ur facial hairs

i didn't get an ingrown hair until i waxed. now i have 3 i can't get rid of myself. i will never wax again.
