  • i miss the 70s....

  • Yeah, Des is awesome, hes the drum teacher in my local school, too bad i do guitar, alwell, Hes epic.

  • この歌、巨人・二岡のテーマソングだよな。二岡がバッターボックスに立つときにこの曲が流れる。まあ、二岡は今は日ハムだが・・・・。

  • featured in the movie man from hong kong

  • WTF?? - If 46 people don't like this song, they must have been born after the 70's. These songs ruled the airwaves!

  • cooler Song - der Lichtblick in dem Film "der mann von hongkong" - TOP Song !!! ;-)

  • Yep, an excellent time! I am thankful to God that I was a teen back in the 70's! Turning on the FM radio and riding my skateboard! Good Times! God Bless the 70's!!!

  • Great Track From Jigsaw.......song featured in the movie The Man From Hong Kong...thanks for posting

  • Kollegah sampled this : Check"Kollegah - Fahrenheit" !!

  • thanks Ronco records!

  • great song just love it y put your trust in someone when they dont feel the same way i have put my trust in so many men phew . life is crap

  • This is a tribute to Marty from Mafia 2.

  • When I saw this pop in a queu after listening to another 70's song I couldn't believe it. This was one of my favorites when it came out and I was 8 years old. I still have the 45 today that I bought back then. Visually it is probably one of the most recognizable to me from the name Sky High and Jigsaw and the color scheme on the 45. Cool to see it in the video.

  • "99X is my radio station!"

  • Stupid lyrics.

"We could have touched the sky. You've blown it all sky high"....? Same outcome, isn't it?

  • @BigEricHunt I love this song (sentimental attachment from early childhood and the fact that it was used in a George Lazenby movie), but that's a funny observation.

  • I heard this song yesterday on a classic rock radio station and I just love this song! One of many reasons Youtube is awsome! :D

  • AWESOME! Thanks to a fb friend I found this long-forgotten song! Heard it for the first time when we lived in England on Top of the Pops. Thanks for posting this!

  • Hate to say it but I always thought that the band were...brothers! Yes, before videos/Internet you can see why I at least thought this was 70's disco/soul. Man this was a great one hit wonder. No way to keep from tapping the toe on this classic gem. Get on down and right on mo!

  • Great childhood memories. The production is remarkable considering the time frame. This song was voted among the worst of all time by the same idots who hate Gilbert O'Sullivan and the Raspberries. I miss the days of Beatle influenced 70s bands filling the radio right along with Sir Paul himself!

  • The Man from Hong Kong a british territory at the time

  • Thank goodness I grew up with great music.

  • Flow Motionnnnnnn.....

  • You, you've blown it all sky high

    Sailing ship upon the sea

    Aren't lovelier than you

Or the games I see you play

You, more lovely than the day

    By telling me a lie

I see through your disguise , ehh, I mean "Without a reason why"

Just can't keep these lyrics straight, dammit!

  • I'm also a child of the '70s........can't imagine any better music......and the memories they bring back to what seemed to be such a simpler time.....Thank God for the music and the memories that can transport us back if even for just a few minutes......All my Best to everyone....Thanks for posting such great music.....Keep it up!

  • I heard this song today at a local Wendy's restaurant. It had been at least 15 years since I last heard it.

"Sky High" is one reason why '70's music is the best!

  • Oh for sure! I miss the days of the past .... :-( miss them so.

  • Timeless!

  • De las mejores canciones de los 70's,,,gracias MusicMike2 por compartir este video.

    Saludos desde Mty. Mex.

  • this makes me miss the past..To bad music and life isn't what it use to be..I honestly think that the 70's and 80's were the best years this planet ever had..I'm so greatful for growing up in that era..only thing i would change..to bad i wasn't an adult and living on my own..then i would of had an even better blast..i was a young teen

  • @Midnightryder7 I hear ya!

  • thanks music mike..

  • What rayjr62 said. Well Done Sir!

  • This is such a GREAT song. How can you not smile?? Such good stuff! Actually has a great, fun beat, ya can dance to and it offends no one by the lyrics. I must be old fashioned. I know shut up grand pa. I'll close the door now.

  • @Barking914 Im with you Gramps, and why not just leave the door open so we all could hear :)

  • @Barking914 Im not old and think this song is great. You got style

  • @Barking914 And I'll open it again for you! But then I also remember this song, and saw the band play it live back in the 70's!

  • Jigsaw-Originate from Coventry-England.One of my home city's few claims to fame.!!

  • @jacksonreiahnna but japanese they understand this of all, and only for the name HIgh fly!! the same with Ultimo Dragon with Separados from Luis Miguel, (sorry for my english)

  • brilliant song, L O V E I T!!!!!! Life is beautiful!!!!

    thanks for posting.

  • great song but for some reason i just love the beginning its beast love it =D

  • Even though I only five years old when this song came out, I remember that I liked it a lot. My sister and I pretended that we were starring in our own variety show and this was one of the songs we'd perform. We even had choreography to it and everything. LOL

  • @msannomalley sounds so familar, my oldest sister always did the same thing, man those were the days!!!

  • @msannomalley OMG that's what my sister and I did too!!!

  • dont make stuff like this anymore,i know,i was in high school when this came out. loved it then and now........timeless !!!!

  • I miss music like this, it makes me sad to think this kind of music is gone. I HATE THE MUSIC OF TODAY!!!!!!!

  • bone thugssss FLOW MOTIONNNNNNNNNNN LOL

  • i took some great pics of this band in preston in 1977

  • Love this song:;

  • grandeeeee

  • I feel like Sarsky and Hutch all up in here.

  • i must get AN ACCUTEX

  • What makes this almost-a-One-Hit Wonder tune memorable for me personally (other than a terrific arrangement) is that, back in 1976-77 when I played in a pop tunes cover band in southwestern Germany as a rhythm guitarist/vocalist, I was the one who vocally simulated that "Viking horn" sound heard at 2:32 - ah, what memories! Thanks MusicMike2 for such a great post.

  • R.I.P Mil Máscaras...

  • Thanks MusicMike...i love the 70's radio hits...i appreciate you guys uploading these tunes for us to enjoy again...it's interesting to see how music has changed over the years.another favourite of mine from back in the day is 'Moonlight feels right'....thanks again.

  • Thanks, great song ☺

  • Great video Great song Great job

  • miss the days when all you did was listen to music, not interpret.

  • "Sky High" is the name of a 1975 single by British pop music group, Jigsaw. The song, the main title theme to the film entitled The Man from Hong Kong, was a world-wide hit in the latter part of 1975, reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and #9 in the UK Singles Chart.

  • Does anyone know who wrote this song? I do.

  • Great 1975 hit for Jigsaw

  • This song needs to be played into every U.S. politician's ears for the rest of their lives!

  • California Jerry Brown's new them song for his betrayal to Californians in his signing the Dream Act. thanks Jerry!

  • Reminds me of the roller skating rink! We don't havethose anymore do we? L.oved that place

  • reminds me of the days when carling black lable was in a bottle

  • Ken Bruce Radio2 plays this a lot. Great to hear it on here, As per suria49 sez it's the golden age,

  • Great video... sounds great too! I remember this from when i was very young. Loved it then, love it now. Cathi.

  • Thanks Mike, that was a great video! I haven't heard this song in years, and I truly enjoyed hearing it.

  • Bone thugs sampled this good song anyway

  • What happened to beautiful music?.. The 70's were indeed the golden age of real music!

  • @suria49 The U.S. gov't found ways to poison American's health with fluoridated water and products, aspartame in diet drinks and foods and all kinds of toxic chemicals. We've been dumbed down. Does that answer your question?

  • @studiosinger first of all this song is about love not politics. It is about romance do not try to mix it or spin it with dirty politics. it is disgusting.

I am here to listen to beautiful music. SCREW THE GOVERNMENT TALK! By the way if you don't like fluoride don't drink municipal water. Everything causes cancer even negative thoughts

  • @suria49 That's what the song means to you, but not necessarily to others. Songs are left to interpretation and you can't restrict or limit how people choose to interpret an artist's material. For me, it's a political based song because true lovers don't lie to one another destroying their love, politicians commonly do with the people. As far as what causes cancer, then I guess you're gonna get cancer because you're a very negative controlling up tight person, at least from your message.

  • @studiosinger I think your opinion about politicians and Hydrofluorosilicic Acid in parts per billion added to municipal water treatment plants are out of context with respect to this topic. Whether you see cheese holes in the moon and real craters etc this ain't got nothing to do with thisr theme. you failed to answer my question. I'm not interested in Jerry Brown. you will be more successful in the political section. I m here to enjoy the music

  • @suria49 You really have a talent for blowing things out of proportion. When you ask a question and someone answers you then manipulate it as you see fit. You must be a lawyer or some similar black and white no gray area profession. It makes you feel safe, and you don't do well with alternate viewpoints which is why you opt for this communication system. This isn't a forum.

  • @suria49 NEVER AGAIN, will we have music as in the 1960's and 1970's..........I am so glad that I lived those times......Today's music industry is NON EXISTENT.......Back then we had a music industry second to NONE... Sierra Cuban, Miami, La Florida, Estados Unidos de América....

  • @sierracuban I totally agree with you. what we have is a substandard subculture. There is no competition, music education is almost non-existent in high school and of course our beloved government starting on the nineties to export our industries overseas and the fact that they began to allow big corporations to merge. On top of it MTV began to manufacture and monopolize the music industry. Many independent radio stations were swallowed by the giants and Everything went to hell

  • nice tune:}

  • Thanks for posting this. Sure brings back memories from youth, and a time when music was awesome. I remember waking up on weekends to Casey Kasem. Ordinary people had a say about what songs made to the top. Just awesome.

  • It took a song like 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen to stop this song from getting to #1 in the UK back in late '75

  • brilliant,say no more.

  • This sounds like it would be perfect for a Roger Moore era James Bond 007 movie like Live and Let Die to Moonraker. Plus the lyrics fit perfectly for a Bond movie, and it was used in a film starring George Lazenby the 2nd James Bond

  • ive been looking for this song fer five years

  • great song

  • mike dont listen 2 these assholes i love this song keep up the good work

  • "Dislikes" must be rap fans with no sense of melody...............put very simply..........proper music. Well done mate and ignore the philistines.

  • Ah, all the dislikes can blow it all skyhigh!!!

  • Great memories of listening to this through my single speaker transistor radio. Sounds just fine to me!

  • This is a great seventies song and a good video, so all the dislikres have no taste

  • I remember when it came out around 1974. My brother used to play it full bore on his 1974 Torana car cassette stereo. Very popular with the Asians now, but back then Chariman Mao's communist thought police would have arrested any Chinese caught listening to this.

  • "you blown it up sky high",you maniac's!!

  • 싱그럽다......정말좋다.......^^

  • Wiz Khalifa's Sample for Thrown one of the hottest samples ever

  • The German Rapper " Kollegah " used It to His Song " Fahrenheit " .. Check This !

  • MUSIC MIKE YOU FRIGGIN RULE....DUDE!

  • Excelente Musica, Felicitaciones. Gracias por subir éste video.

  • anybody got a copy of their " That`s what it`s all about"

  • mil mascas <3

  • MusicMike2 - Thanks for your upload. I apologize that I'm not a "techno geek" like some of the others on YouTube who seem to badmouth and downgrade every song that they watch and listen to! For those of you in this category - please go somewhere else! I truly doubt that you people could do better! Thanks, MusicMike2 as this reminds me of the summer I spent in DeLand, FL working out with Arthur Jones and Nautilus. Good, good memories!

  • I actually have the 45 of this song....great music in the 70s!!

  • That was back when music was GREAT, unlike crap they play today, that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • rock and roll comes in many different formats. nah, they'll never make the r'n'r hall of fame, but still a great song nice to know bubblegum music didn''t die in the 60's

    great post

  • Fahrenheit !!! wie der einfach den beat von kollegah geklaut hat xD

  • ☮ we were here ☮

  • Another great song by MusicMike2.

Thanks for sending me back in time Mike. Love it !!

  • This song is spectacular and I don't imagine anyone who didn't live in the 1970's would know that. It is definitive of the era and I remember being in a great mood at 10 years old, listening to Jigsaw! I wish that songs still made you feel great!

  • one off the best ingles song

  • my Mom had that 45, got lost in a fire :(

  • @sixthandsunset --- Sorry it doesn't meet with your liking or your cats. You're welcome to upload the song yourself with all the EQ settings perfectly adjusted to make you happy. But, I guarantee you that someone out there is not going to like what you've done.............maybe even your cat.

  • @MusicMike2 My cat digs this song, but then again my cat is a hip cat.

  • @MusicMike2

You did a nice job Mike, and for those people who want "EQ quality the hell with them! You video is the only one with words so keep up the good work. this song is and was GREAT AND SO WAS THIS VIDEO YOU DID!

  • @MusicMike2 Way to go, Mr. Music Mike. F*ck that jerk-off. You did an excellent job. Keep up the good work.

  • Hey @MusicMike2 , dont worry about that comment, its not really easy to find a good song like this and post here, and nobody pay you for post here, its just the good feeling to share with us your good music; so, I want to thank you for post it. Be happy =)

  • @sixthandsunset..... Its most likely your an X or later generation who didn't have the good fortune to mature in the pinnacle years of R&R. Digital sound enhancement wasn't even on the drawing board. Today's generations, the "get everything handed to them" genre, appreciate little, or nothing, but their own vanity. You want, but don't give in return. Please follow your cat into cyber space a d do us all a big favor!!!!!

  • @sixthandsunset Nothing wrong with the EQ levels! Perhaps you should invest in a better pair of speakers or headphones....and may i also suggest another cat....just sayn

  • @sixthandsunset Your cat probably bolted from the room because it couldn't stand being in the presence of a dipshit like you

  • the dude at the beginning looks like Chris' freind Greg from Everybody Hates Chris lol

  • @187mandem haha he does!

  • Great song from the movie of the same name; my best friend from high school, now Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, and I went and saw this movie.

The film was good entertainment and featured some excellent martial arts.

Todd and I will long remember the banter and lines about the "special branch."

  • WHAT A GR8 SONG

  • Would have made a great James Bond opening song back then.

  • @JessicaGalvan99

I agree, the production reminds me of McCartney's stellar 'Live And Let Die',this track would have been perfect for a Bond flick entitled 'SkyHigh' of course.

    Robert Nix Rock/Pop Artist

  • Absolutely love this song, heard it on our local radio station this morning

  • Brilliant song. Superb production values and orchestration.

  • This was a huge hit back in the day. And it was a good one, too. In fact, I kinda miss these songs. You know, the kind where they really found a great melody and worked it well. With today's music, you almost never hear that melodic sweet spot, you don't hear great hooks anymore. Basically, that's what great pop songs should be about. But today, people seem more interested in visuals, personalities, and attitude. Hopefully the trend will change.

  • To get into the R & R Hall Of Fame you have to voted in by a panel of 35 record coy execs, critics, muso journalists ad nauseum... That's why so many deserving bands haven't made it yet nor never will.. It's run by a bunch of clusterfucks!

  • Good song in the 70s--an even better song in 2011!!

  • This song is a good song. Not every song has to "Beat it", "Imagine", "Suspicious Minds" or "Yesterday" its a fun song

  • i was a teenager when this song came out, i loved then and still love it and imma 50. i wish people that might be clueless ranting and raving about who should go to the r&r hall.if you don't like the song then git your sorry asses outta here PEACE ALL

  • Awesome.. Long live the 70's forever..

  • I remember this song from my childhood. Until now, I thought it was a woman singing lead, kind of a Helen Reddy throaty voice. Love the horn section!

  • This song is my childhood with my cousin who I don't even now is alive today. She had a herion addiction her 20's and we lost touch. I miss you Becky.

  • This track is perfect as the theme from ''The Man From Hong Kong'' 1975 Australian film.

  • Remember it well. They played this all the time growing up in Honolulu Hawaii.

  • Dedicate this one to Anthony Weiner...

  • Wake up wiz

  • Timeless Classic!!!!

  • MIL MASCARAS

  • dis record is some pimp shyt!

  • Thumbs up if you think Musicmike2 rulzzzzzzzzzz

  • thanks! i was trying to find the name of this song! i am trying to create mil mascaras , the greatest mexicao luchador, for smackdown vs raw 2011, this was his intro LOL ^_^

  • music from a better era i wish we were in the 70s better days and happier times

  • This song ALWAYS reminds me of a lad I was seeing from Sydney, Australia.....we were both only 16/17 and really young.....one day he met me and told me that his parents were going back to Australia and taking him with them, in about a week!! I was heartbroken....we kept in touch for a while but then it just drifted off.....but it's funny how a song can make you feel EXACTLYas you did 35 years ago......sob sob sob LOL

  • Nothing sounds like black licorice....thanx for posting on vinyl bro

  • One of my all time favorite 70s songs! Awesome!! Brings back great childhood memories!

  • Barry Barnard kneeling in front now living in Colchester

  • I want the 70s back.

  • I love this, love this, love this song!!!! I'm so glad I ran into it. :)

  • Gran parte del exito en Japon de esta cancion se debe al Sr. Mil Mascaras

  • Really listened to this song over and over again on the radio, until recently I knew the title, makes me remember the great moments I lived throughout my life, exeriencias good and bad, but this cool song called " SkyHight "really is a great classic of the disco. As would have liked to have been sent when this music! Greetings

  • I'm glad to discover your work on youtube. I have two copies of the Jigsaw album along with the 45. The magic of AM radio brought to life despite those who trash one hit wonders like Jigsaw. Let's face it, those who grumble at these groups don't have the talent, timing, or the "it" factor and can't stake their place in music history. I'd love to have just one hit back then without the aid of cyberspace and it's related offsprings! Critics are left with themselves, while the music lives on!

  • @BIGLOU48 ----If you don't like this song and thinks it's just Disney Land music....then why are you here listening to it? As for judging them by not being in the R&R Hall Of Fame.....well, they inducted ABBA....and that is NO R&R group in my book. They lost all of their credibility with me after that. The induction of Madonna didn't help either. Your evaluation of what makes a "real musician" is very shallow. Milli Vanilli got a Grammy....oops, had a Grammy. They had merchandising, too. Lol

  • @MusicMike2 Yah, they really ought to have a R&R HOF and a Pop Icon HOF to be fair..and accurate.

  • @BIGLOU48 Like you Big Lou I like to find these lame ass songs and see the way out remarks of " How great this song, and blah blah blah. I called KRTH-The Sound100- and my deejay friend at KFXM. The all said the same thing.

We do not have this. MG Kelly laughed at the thought of playing this song, The Sound said what and who, but Louie at KFXM gave me the best quote: Why waste harddrive space on this, when I can put White Bird From It's A Beautiful Day on our rotation? I'm gonna remember that.

  • @BIGLOU48 Where is Cream magazine today? But people are still listening to this song?

  • @BIGLOU48 Yours is an intersting opinion. Of course, instead of allowing Creem (which I used to read, too, btw) do my thinking for me, I think I'd prefer to judge on my own. Also, the over-the-hill babyboomers who invented a "hall of fame" for something as subjective as music are not worth much merit either. Rock n Roll was once THE music of the anti-establishment. Then the boomers got old and, true to form, betrayed their former, youthful values. All the best, friend.
