  • Very good. Another thing I was thinking when watching this is that, I forgot who says it, but someone says "Christians always walk up to the cross, but how many people get on their cross?"

  • Paul Washer says dead men can't hear or understand the Gospel (the Voice of Jesus). So what's the point in preaching the Gospel to the unregenerate? Must they first be regenerated (resurrected, made alive) before they can hear (like Lazarus)? That would mean that the unregenerate must first be saved before they can believe the Gospel and be saved. That sounds ludicrous (if you are hear what I'm saying).

  • We need to preach the gospel to ourselves everyday lest we forget that we are wretched sinners in need of a Savior. It helps us remember but by the grace of God go I. It helps us speak the truth in love. It is not a one time thing to accept and now let's move on to greater things. No, it is THE thing.

  • Did you hear the flying teapot rose from the dead too? Amazing!!!

  • YouTube comments stink for theological discussion.

I hereby refuse to continue because I consider you a brother in Christ, and our comments back and forth inevitably appear inflammatory. This topic is too complicated to intelligently discuss 375 characters at a time. I'd like my gentleness be be evident to all, and assume the same for you.

Feel free to direct msg or email me if you'd like to continue our discussion.

  • Christians are BOTH new creations &still sinners. Paul says "of whom I AM the worst," not was. The sin problem in the church will not go away without Christ's return.

Sinners=people who sin. Sinners need a Savior, not just a label change. Your standing before God is clear: that's justification. But your spirit is not perfect, brother. That's gnosticism.

  • @ele12957returns - Paul did say "of whom I AM the worst." Not "I WAS the worst."

Don't confuse Justification with Sanctification. We can be free from the PENALTY and POWER of sin, and not yet be free from the PRESENCE of sin. NT sinner/saints with the Spirit include the racist Apostle Peter ("condemned" in Gal 2:11ff) and Apostle John (1 Jn. 1:10).

    Save something for glorification, brother!

I don't like doing this via YouTube comments. But I'd love to chat. Direct msg me to continue?

  • @ele12957returns Exactly comment. Christ has perfected satisfaction to God therefore my affection in Christ is to rest in devotion.

  • I'm not a wicked sinner redeemed. Constantly in need of Atonement that is poor theology.Christ made me a new creation. My sin past, present, future, is dead. The Atonement is not for all of us the same.My privilege is affection for Christ. This is exactly why believers stay children and under control by this kind of preaching. There is no liberty in what he said because Christ has perfected nothing.Christ has satisfied God on my behalf I'm not under wrath.

  • @polopowers1 - I believe he's saying something very much like you are -- not that you and I are constantly in need of atonement. But scripture tells us to encourage one another with the gospel. That's the "rest in devotion" you're referring to, that must be more or less constant for the sake of sanctification and to avoid "returning again to bondage." It's for freedom we've been set free, we have to be trained in righteousness -- and encouragement by the gospel is the 101 level of that.

  • @polopowers1 You feel no need to ask for forgiveness or to repent of sin after you were born anew? Are you saying that you no longer sin, or that at the point of your regeneration all your sins were forgiven even the ones you have yet to confess and address.

  • @dedred5 Where did you read I don't need to confess? My status in Christ is I'm sinful but not a sinner. You focus on sin you will sin.Christ is for devotion not constant repentance.Read Gal 2;12 ,14 Christ is not a minister of sin.Pastors who keep their people in the cycle of sin give no liberty to be led by Spirit but rather by law.I'm not wicked, under God's wrath or in the constant immaturity of repentance Hebrews 6:1,2

  • Satanic poetry? That's ironic.

Why would someone (who's mission is to kill and destroy) take the time and effort to carefully order their words into metaphors and grouped patterns?

Perhaps you can't shake the image God created in you as easily as you thought?

  • @mwesterholm I dig the penetrating questioning. Keep at it mwesterholm...

  • @ele12957returns, Remember when the Apostle Paul called himself the chief of sinners? Also, his description of himself/believers in Romans 7, he says that he is a wretched man chained to a body of death. Oh, another one is 1 John 1:8 where Scripture teaches that anyone who claims to not sin is a liar.

Noah got drunk; Abraham pimped his wife; David murdered--all after God had worked in them. Struggling w/sin.

&4sure MY heart still sins and needs new mercies every morning. Yours?

  • Pray for Matt - he's undergoing surgery this Friday for a mass on his frontal lobe - possibly cancerous.

  • You are physically animated, yet mentally dead. I see you awake but you are not really there. You walk around in a hollow shell. Living a life of mental stagnation. Seeking the comfort of reassuring lies. Your shallow mind, in a church of fools. Living a life of willing ignorance. Never thinking, forever dim. Nothing's more pathetic than a brainless drone. Vicious cycles of lies to cover lies. Just another robot in factory of falsehoods. A hollow puppet controlled by strings.
  • Hey man, there's room at the cross. We are all broken, but God is the great Bridge Builder. I hope you listen to the videos you listen to from Trip Lee and Lecrae, to Matt Chandler.

  • All people need the Savior. Your lost and dead in trespasses and sins. Lying,Lusting(adultrey in the heart),Hate(murder in the heart),taking Gods name in vain-blasphemy,Stealing..there are more but you and all people have broken Gods Holy Law. Your guilty. All have sinned..there is none righteous no not one..the wages of sin is death. Cry out for mercy and Repent of your sin and trust in Christ alone to save you. Until then you are a slave to your sin, it leads you like a dog on a leash

  • Hmmmmmm. That's no comment

  • And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever........................and if anyones name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

  • Yes you are a puppet actually...controlled by your sin. That sin and rejecting the only hope for your eternal soul who is Jesus Christ the Lord, God incarnate, the Son of God,God with us, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The Lamb of God. The way,the truth and the life, the One all man will bow before.

  • @RobertBaral365

Ooo a mall goth "satanist!" Someone tell him that Satanists don't believe in Satan. XD

  • @RobertBaral365

Sir you seem quite certain that the whole of Christianity is a lie. I don't know if you would say that Christ never walked or that the Bible is a creation of men, but I would like to know what you think. Would you be willing to spend a little time with me researching archaeology?

This offer is open to anyone.

  • There's no way out, you're entrapped in their lies. Their stories are to control your feeble mind. Their churches are eating through your wages. Temple of lies, so full of emptiness. Mirrors to their greedy ancient fraud. I stare in your eyes and see nothing. Your willing ignorance has destroyed you. You're chasing fantasies you'll never reach. I live my life above the lies of sheep. I'll never surrender, I'll always fight for my mind. With Satan by my side, I stand above all.
  • @spurlicke04 i would like to go into archaeology =]

  • personally i love this guy.. though i'm pretty sure it's just based on my love for the gospel :) as in, anything he says will sound awesome cuz i like what he's saying.. BUT, he's a questionable speaker. :/ stuttering, delay, etc.. makes him sound like he doubts himself. am i the only one who sees this?

  • Love the work God has done through Matth. We should pray to God to open the eyes of the "so called preachers" of this time!

  • e2ek << wow why are you hating on chandler? its not about you or whether you like "the way" he teaches it. its about the gospel, not your personal preferences. Chandler is constantly working to spread the glory of Christ. There is no reason to cause division unless the person you are rebuking is being heretical or anti-Biblical. The Bible teaches our words should build each other up, not tear each other down. So please keep your negative attitude to yourself or better yet change it

  • FIRST TIME i agree with this guy's saying.. although, i still dislike the way he teaches it!!

  • i think i get what ur saying... kind of. good words, bad delivery?

  • well.. when he says "lean to the cross" is a vague description, and i wonder if he knows that the cross itself represents damnation =o

so i just say that we all gotta be more careful how we speak when teaching the word, because if we are not careful, then people will misunderstand the real message!!

    thanks for repplying though =]

  • Chandler is blessed...

  • Amen and amen

  • Wow! Love it!

  • lets pray more each day to our Lord and Savior! amen!

  • beautiful

  • The gospel is the deepest of all mysteries and can never been "moved past." We will marvel at the work of Christ for all eternity.

  • amen.. that is all
