Skaterock, I suggest you look up the laws concerning your state. As a citizen who carries a firearm, who has had the courses concerning the carrying and use of lethal force I can tell you right now. you cannot use deadly force, nor can you "brandish" a firearm unless you are in fear for your life.
simple trespass is NOT cause for brandishing a firearm nor for use of lethal force.
A firearm is NOT a magical talisman that makes the bad guys run. It is like any tool. it requires training to use.

Allow me to illustrate this. I have seen men who could draw and fire 3 accurate shots in less than 1/7th of a second.
To a man like that, brandishing a firearm is a fine way to speed your way to room temperature.

Let me start out by saying that I would love to un-invent guns, but nothing short of that will do. I was robbed at gunpoint. I gave the kid all that I had, but he didn't leave, he kept demanding more. I hated that gun; but by the time it was over, I had a newfound respect for the glock 27 under my left arm. That gun did something positive, it saved my life. If guns were illegal, I would have still been robbed, but I would have been able to do nothing, except die... Thanks a lot, buddy.
