@cougarkid16 Glad that you're candid about rivers. I used to be a sports writer, and sometimes we place expectations on these kids and forget that they're just that, kids. He may not be the best freshman, but he fits our offense and team just fine. Exactly what we needed and were missing last year: a wing that can shoot, and take it to the hole, a la, a Danny Green or Rashad McCants.

Kyles ppg 13.6 rebounds 6.1 assists 2.1 that was kyles freshman year. now lets see harrisons. ppg 13.9 rebounds 5.1 assists 1.4 So harrison only leads kyle in one category. Kyle leads in all the others. Even ones i didnt mention. So your statement was false. Kyle had a better freshman year than harrison is going to have and kyle will always go down as a better college basketball player. nuff said. amen

I love how all these haters come out to say he's overrated. I've actually seen him play a lot -- and not just at NC. He's phenomenal. He's just been hit with the perfect storm. He's on a weak NC team. He's not a take-over-the-game kind of player. He's smart, an X's and O's guy. Unluckily for him, his shot isn't falling so far. But it will. The All-American selection and "program savior" label has hit him in some degree. If the draft were held today Barnes would still be Top 10. Sorry haters.

Compare him to other freshmen who are actually good like Sully, Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight (who by your standards is absolutely incredible because he avgs 18, 4, 4). Perry Jones even does better than Barnes and he has to live with Lacedarius shooting 25 times a game while playing out of position.
These guys actually lead their teams unlike this stiff named Harrison Barnes, who I still can't figure out why people think is good.
