ah, love bosphorus cymbals, got brand new bosphorus traditional series ride, crash and hats for only €250, a piano shop sold them to me, they did'nt know what they were doing!...had them for a year or so now, love em!
They are not quite as good as more contemporary brands such as paiste or meinl although depending on the models, bosphorus do make cymbals suitable for louder and harder styles
I disagree. The Gold series is of course great for louder, heavier music, but don't underestimate any of the other series. The Turk series especially might be darker and lower pitched but they will cut through heavier music with no problem at all.
please, for a drummer who has nearly a years experience and hopefully a new kit on the way this year ( my first acoustic, i have a yamaha electric kit), which is the BEST ALL ROUND series, as i have been looking at traditional. i want to save money, a bit (but not loads, i still want a good set) and wanted to know a cheap(as most bosphorus are) yet good, strong standard series of bosphorus cymbals. thnx
I disagree also, I've always used Paiste 2002 series, Although Bosphorus haven't made Hi-hats to compare with the Paiste 15" sound edge, The Bosphorus traditional range are a hell of a match for the Paiste Rude range and i have both. I've always loved Paiste but Bosphorus kick the arse out of Zildjian & Sabian, But are just as good if not better than Paiste. I'm a convert.
i think uve got it arse about tit. bosphorus cymbals are the old traditional cymbals like K's. suitable for jazz and suchlike. all the bosphorus cymbals ive tryed wouldnt be much good for loud harder music like metal or rock or whatever. on the other hand paiste make some of the brightest cymbals out there and their 2002 line especially are part of rocks heritage.
Okay! I'm ready to be a loyal, raving-to-my-friends, money-paying fan! (The kind of fan I'd want if I played drums professionally ...) Who is this guy and where can I buy his stuff?
what kind of ride is that?
