Didn't Guitar Hero start with mostly covers? You have to take into consideration that Battle of the Bands has over 150 covers, at least 5 different styles(Rock, Rap, Country, Latin, Marching Band) for each song. Majority of them are good, I would know because I actually tried this game. Did you?

wow! an awful remake of a game and and awful remake of a song!! What a stupid time we live in, where people can't think of anything for themselfs, and they have to take an original idea and make it look like the threw a peice of crap on paper then called it an idea.

And what exactly do you think this is a remake of? Guitar Hero? Incorrect. Both games are completely different. If you want to complain about an original idea being stolen, what about Konami's Guitar Freaks game that was released in 1998. Guitar Hero plays suspiciously almost exactly like Guitar Freaks. The only reason not very many people have heard of Guitar Freaks is because it's a Japanese exclusive game. Battle of the Bands on the other hand isn't even a simulation game.

Red Octane had seen guitar freaks and asked Harmonix to make a game for the guitar controller that they had made, the reason being that guitar freaks as not coming out in the US and Europe. What omgitsgmod is trying to say is that this is a game that is brought out basically just because Rock Band came out for the 360 and PS3 and not for the Wii and Nintendo needed something to "counter" it

What gave you the idea that this game is a counter to Rock Band? Battle of the Bands is more of a side-step out of the competition in attempt to try something new instead of making another instrument simulation game to push into the market. Nintendo didn't make Battle of the Bands, Planet Moon Studios did. The only similarity Rock Band and Guitar Hero share with this game is that they're all music games. The Wii is getting a port of Rock Band by the way.

No offense to anyone planing to get this game. But im Entitled to my opinion, so i'm going to go ahead and say it... This looks fucking stupid. Another Cheap ass spin-off of guitar hero. I don't think we will see much more of these type of games for at least.. 4 months. They're going with anything to make them at least a little bit of cash these days I guess. I apologize for my spelling and gramerical mistakes. For your own sake, I serriously do not recomend getting this game.
