Is there any truth in the rumours that Jack Lew believes that the earth, Mars and Sirius are only 6000 years old? Or is this slanderous gossip? Thank you.
Great job exposing the truth! Ron Paul 2012! Ron does not accept money from Goldman Sach's and the other big banks that BRIBE, oops I mean give campaign contributions for no reason at all!
"Let's deregulate them so that they cost us more money." In order for this to happen, there would need to be more bailouts. If you oppose the bailouts, you shouldn't need to worry about how much money Lew loses. You said that yourself, Cenk. You're needlessly tying deregulation to bailouts.
@hallavast the current lack of regulations on banks is why they are too big to fail and therefore will need to get bailed out if they go bankrupt, deregulations are infinitely tied to the bailouts
@hallavast well the banks used to be regulated and commercial and investment banks had to be separate, it was called the Glass-Steagall act (1932). Since deregulation in the banking industry most notably the repeal of Glass-Steagall in 1999 allowed commercial banks and investment banks to merge, meaning they are "too large too fail", so if they do go bankrupt the govt. has no choice but to bail them out or chaos ensues, they are holding all the cards, they have all of the leverage
@hallavast and before you say "well why don't we just let them go bankrupt (insert free market mumbo jumbo)" imagine for a second that when you wake up tomorrow your bank accounts with BOA or WF(etc.) are at $0, oh well free market dictates that the bank fails and you should have chosen better with your life savings or just any money that you had at all (unless the bank if bailed out). So you can't let them fail, they are too big and too many people depend on them
@rsty614 So basically, your argument is that there will be NO competition to pick up the pieces when the big banks collapse. And you make that claim in spite of the fact that the government is giving these big banks the tools to CRUSH all competition (bailouts)? How do you think credit markets worked before the Federal Reserve controlled everything?
@hallavast the competition/incentive structure of the financial industry is skewed compared to normal market functions, because of the structure of these companies. I have a large incentive to succeed as a business owner, If I fail I will lose all of my money, CEO's of these companies can fail without losing any money, in fact the company that hires them will give them a large sum of money regardless of how well the do, and they can get a great job afterwords for no reason
@hallavast the US bailed out GM and it didn't let them crush all competition did it? There is competition right now, competition and incentives are not the problem, the competition/incentives of the CEO's who run the company is what is leading them to fail, they are merely doing what is in their best interest, The bankrupting of companies is making millionaires out of many people regardless of the bailouts
@hallavast Not to mention the fact that these punks on wall street who produce nothing valuable to our society (product, service, etc.), yet who are treated like kings by the media and business world, gamble with their clients money, and then with tax payer money, and with no qualms as to whether they fail or not (hence the Occupy movement)
@rsty614 Ok. So you're angry at CEOs and investment managers. They're not being held accountable for losing everyone else's money (and committing fraud). I agree. But the only reason they can continue to do business like that is because the companies that pay them are not allowed to fail. If you stop bailing out those companies, they won't have money to give to the assholes. And other people with money won't want to lose it to them either. The government is eliminating the risk.
@hallavast I totally agree, but why not just regulate them so investment banks can't invest money that isn't theirs? that's my only point, if they can bet their own money and go bankrupt then hell no don't bail them out!
@rsty614 Well, when you "just regulate" things, you get regulations written by people who are paid by the corporations regulating them (congress). More than likely such regulation would include clauses that even more severely prohibit new competition from entering the market by erecting "barriers to entry". The point of deregulation is to remove barriers to entry and other things that inhibit competition.
@rsty614 But if you're worried about some kind of collapse from lack of credit (the exact opposite problem we have right now), then let me assure you that if the federal reserve is allowed to keep printing money to bail out these assholes and fight Bush/Obama's wars, the economy is going to collapse anyway. And that's going to happen regardless of govt regulation. If you don't believe me, look at inflation rates in the last 40 years.
There is no way to fairly "regulate" an inherently fraudulent monetary system. Go back to a gold and silver standard and you won't have to "regulate" how much fraud is exceptable.
President Obama is not going to make it to a second term with this bullshit. People (Blacks, Progressives, ect)are just going to stay home and can you really blame them. This isn't the change we voted for. Pretty lame and very disappointing.
Fuck you Cenk you're a fucking hypocrite. You defended Obama for appointing this guy even though Congress being mad about it in another video. And now you're mad at Obama for appointing him!? Hypocritical piece of shit!
As much as Cenk hates Obama's pandering to the banks and corporate lobbyists, he would have probably hated Clinton more if he was President right now. As we all know, Clinton was for more deregulating than Obama is, especially what he did in welfare reform and NAFTA.
When will people get it? Its not republicans vs. democrats. Its the establishment vs. the rest of us. There is a war against us and most of you don't even know it. Its big bankers and their influence that control our country. Obama is a shill.
I love how they claim this guy is a 'liberal'. That term used to represent someone who dropped acid, painted their face with bright colors, danced around in the sunshine with their boobies hangin' out, and then made love as the mood moved them. My how words can change in meaning when the wrong people control the national dialogue.
It's not a democracy, not a republic, it's a fucking big brother oligarchy. Completely bent on subjugating and crushing it's citizens to empower itself, when it should be heavily the opposite.
Nearly every republican elected official is pushing it, and an only a slightly lower democratic percentage are as well. But for some reason there's tons of incumbents in this poorly approval rated congress.
I think America is even dumber than I originally thought.
@OtakuRebel That's part of it. Most Congress incumbents have had their districts gerrymandered to favor them over time. So the majority is screwed over because of power-hungry politicians drawing lines in favor of their party.
@OtakuRebel Well that's the "christian nation" for you. All of the politicians running are christian. They worship money and wealthy people. The height of christian power, the Age of Faith, was also known as the Dark Ages. The church of that time made every effort to keep the people in a state of ignorant obedience, just like they are doing today.
Obama has just shown himself to be another corporate candidate - bought and paid for by donations of major financial and healthcare corporations... How can you expect change when people keep electing politicians who are influenced by their donors... The whole system has to be overhauled but that won't happen as long as people think this is a party problem. BOTH parties are horribly corrupt - just their causes differ and that is what everyone needs to understand..
@AntiSheep77 Well the election will be on vote democrat for slow corporate transformation and ignoring liberal base. Vote republican for fast corporate transformation. Or vote Ron Paul even though if he doesn't win the nomination he won't go 3 party and tell his supports to vote for Mitt
I can definitely see in my lifetime teh day when America itself becomes just another soulless monster mega-corporation. "United States of America L.L.C."....my gosh Hell is just around the corner...
I wonder who is more ignorant and stupid: 2000 & 2004 Bush voters or 2008 & 2012 Obama voters? This is so sickening, I had no idea it would get this bad until I began watching TYT last summer. What a loser this president is.. you'd think he would kick some ass to keep his promises, but ironically being black obviously doesn't exclude you from being part of the establishment. Unbelievable that he got a Nobel peace prize and is now destroying the country and violating international human rights a
This is exactly why we need to support somebody anti-establishment for the upcoming presidential election. (i know you may not agree with this but Ron Paul is the best option we're going to have this year)
@rsty614 yes, but in his case he also wants to get rid of the regulations that keep banks from competing against each other, prevent banks from failing when they otherwise should, and all of the other stuff that gives them huge advantages from government. If this was done it's possible banks might not exist at all, or at least in any resemblance to their current form.
@Houshalter Banks produce nothing, they take money, competition in the free market doesn't work in the financial industry! Regulations do not prevent any kind of competition anywas, De-regulations led these banks to become too big to fail, not the other way around! These guys are playing with other peoples money so the incentive structure of the free market is fucked, the CEO of a company has no incentive to succeed!
@Houshalter only difference between Obama and Paul is Obama pretends that he wants to regulate the banks but has no desire to do so, and Paul is honest in his Libertarian belief that Companies should have no rules or regulations (yet government should?). And as a business owner I understand stupid regulations in certain industries, where you produce a product or service to customers, but the more de-regulations on wall street, the more power/leverage they wield over our country
@rsty614 if the banks weren't so intermingled with government, you could choose to not put your money into the banking system or at least into banks you don't like. You wouldn't have to subsidize the risk of the banking industry through your taxes or inflated dollars.
The point is deregulation doesn't matter in a system in a system where the only people who would be at risk for the bad decisions of banks, would be those who voluntarily choose to take on that risk.
@Houshalter Banks are so intermingled with government because they pay our politicians, the only way to fix that would be through REGULATION, making a rule stating you can't do that, Free Market dictates the banks would pay Ron Paul more money then he could ever imagine and he would rationalize why it would be helpful to bailout the banks
@rsty614 we already have heavy regulations on political donations. Besides that only stops corruption. The government would still maintain countless destructive policies through central banking and all it's absurd and arbitrary regulations.
Ron Paul has received almost no corporate money if any, especially from banks, since his policies would effectively destroy the banking industry. They know that. He's also against bailouts.
@Houshalter deregulating the banks wouldn't destroy the banking industry, there is no campaign finance reform; the federal reserve has been around for almost 100 years, yet NOW this is the cause to all of our problems?
@rsty614 I have never heard him say that, but even if he did at least he would be willing to let those crooked banks fall after they have failed. (he doesn't believe in bail outs) The country needs a leader and in my opinion neither Obama nor Romney are worth following. Paul is the only one that I see worthy of leading this country out of its current state.
@moosa86 if no bailout: unemployment goes to 20% or more, thousands of small businesses have to close down or scale back due to lack of financing, I mean we are talking about the next great depression without those Bailouts, Hence why they are/were "too big to fail", they hold all the cards in the deck. I like Ron Paul, just think he is flat wrong about free market libertarian theories, it doesn't work in anything else in life why would it work in the financial industry
Republicans do not agree with the WH chief of staff. This is #4. Obama's choice of his admin has been shady from day one. Treasurey sect:Tiny Tim the Tax cheat OR John Corzine, the madoff wannabe. Then we have the lobbyists.
NOW the Citibank hedgfund guy who bet against America!! LOL.
Obama and his admin are failures. It cost the US too much for him to learn on the job.
@rsty614 Interesting that you say "all" as if you personally interviewed them. This is one of the problems with the division that has been created in the WH. The only way to operate it functionally any longer is to have only one party in total control.
That really hasn't worked for us at the start of this admin.
@ladylordess My apologies...I didn't realize the word "all" insinuated that I had personally interviewed them, I thought it was common knowledge; For example you call Tim G: Tine Tim Tax cheat and John Corzine the madoff wannabe without interviewing them yourself correct? Also you have some very vague statements feel free to be more specific...what do you mean it cost the US too much for him to learn on the job? Cost us what exactly?
@rsty614 It is "common", I don't know if I would say it is "knowledge", if your main source of info is a liberal left loon source. Then it isn't really knowledge, rather propaganda.
Tiny Tim Turbo Tax Cheat and John Corzine's madoff wannabe is a specific comment about specific people, based on their actions. I did not group them together and say ALL dems are tax cheats and ex governor rip off artists, who happened to be up for treasury sec., just like Timmy.
@rsty614 And I am assuming, but obviously you are unaware: when bho came to town: 9T deficit. today: 15.3 T and he wants to spend more. He promised to cut it in half. He lied!!!! We are borrowing and living beyond our means and stealing from the youth of our country. That is a greedy, inexcusable cost that they should not have to pay because this admin is buying votes for the 47% who pay not fed. tax.
@ladylordess so if he got the deficit back to 9trillion then you would be content with Obama? interesting...ok so if we remain at 15.3 trillion deficit how do you think that will affect our youth? and I have watched every republican debate and have watched fox news, so to be clearer for you...I don't know of a republican who wants to regulate the banking industry, I don't believe they exist, but you seem to be convinced otherwise..Can you name me one?
@rsty614 "content" is an odd choice of words. He promised to cut it in half, and instead doubled it. I would be happy with it around 1T. However, I'd be happier if he stopped the class warfare game that he is playing. He is far to devisive to be anyone leader. He has lied more than any politician in history.
Obama had a chance to do what we need most in banking: Regulation on Hedgefunds. He wouldn't dare do that to his donors.
@ladylordess good, I agree with you, I think he should raise taxes on the richest americans and get rid of corporate tax loopholes, and massively cut defense spending would really help the debt, and to be clear the deficit isn't 15T, the debt is at Trillion but I think you're on the right track
@rsty614 I agree with you. The tax code needs to be rewritten and there should be a max tax number and no write offs for ANYONE. Everyone pays the same. They need an incentive to invest, so cap gains tax: GONE. that money will have already been taxed! Revenue has been proven to go up when tax's have been lowered.
@oneputtsteven Its not news to the GOP. Its a game. They know. Obama is right wing in policy, but liberal/progressive in campaign and speeches. Obama knows that the majority of Americans are left of center, thats why he got elected. Every major issue (drugs, SS, medicare, abortion, gay rights, taxing the rich, separation of church and state), Americans poll left of center and support each issue. But obama continues to surround himself with bankers and agrees with the GOP
To correct Cenk; It's moral hazard as the cause; Eliminating personal accountability of their bets which allows them to ignore risk; moral hazard is controlled with regulation; but the cause of the behavior is moral hazard.
yea. if ron paul doesn't win, its either gop obama or gop romney. wow. can't believe we're powerless. the protests didnt work, the voting system isn't going to work. the country is done. ah well i moved to asia 2 months ago so im good.
I am however very disappointed with this appointment by Obama. It was a terrible choice. I just hope Cenk spends more time encouraging people to primary Democrats. We have to fix this party from the bottom up, not from the top down.
@samoka10 I wouldn't worry about that when it becomes choice between mitt and oboma. Most dems will be scared enough of mitt and his ever increasing right wing rhetoric. If Obama is green lighting killing of Iran nuclear physicist and Mitt will be forced to go to right of that. Fear will drive dems the question will it drive the independents.
@samoka10 cause irrational hate for no reason will assure the republicans come out. The real factor of who will win is between the dems and independents. The reasons why i count out the republicans there not that many of them.
Again the only way to cause change NOW is to run progressives in the primaries against establishment guys. That's to only way we can create change without hurting the party. I'm getting sick of these attack Obama videos. All you are going to do is convince Independents that Romney is worth a try.
Cenk, did I just hear you say you're for financial establishments betting against entire markets? Isn't that how all this got started? am I taking fuckin crazy pills here.
Meet the new Chief of Staff, same as the old Chief Of Staff ! "Second verse, same as the first" or as in the case of Emanuel and Daley, Third verse same as the first two. Are they laundering money in the WH or something?
@L0OOOooooOOOOOOOOL yeah, i agree. i'm not a huge jayar fan anymore. and ana is getting conceited as well. i'd say that they would like to like ron paul, but just can't solidly agree on enough core issues to make that endorsement.
Day by day people are starting to realize that all of these guys are too flawed to run the country and steer us away from disaster. To me it is a lose-lose situation regardless of who is elected.
Wait, why do I have this sickening feeling in my stomach that Obama has turned GOP and no matter what happens during the election it will be a GOP that rules us for the next four years? I really hope I am wrong. I want back the president that was human enough to give us a badly needed health care that has saved a lot of American lives. I want back the president that believed in the people for the people. I want a damn human being again.
@dark0tale0weaver power corrupts... in his greed for a second term he is back bending to the republicans on every issue.. if he was a genuine liberal he would roll out his reforms without giving a shit if he would be re elected or not.. unfortunately the other choice of mitt romney is not great as well.. so might as well re elect obama
@dark0tale0weaver That president only existed in his rhetoric. The healthcare plan was a right wing bailout of the insurance industry. Medicare for All was the real healthcare reform that would have saved 45,000 people a year from unnecessary death, and would have eliminated the deficit. But Obama is such a stooge of corporate America that he made sure you didn't even get a pathetically weak public option.
@dark0tale0weaver Obama is a pragmatist; he turned the direction that money, votes, and the congressional dems went. To turn him left would be to organize votes/money that rival his corporate donations and their vote swaying efforts. The congressional dems rode on his coattails into power, then the corporate lobby and fox news beat them into submission and they in turned beat Obama’s rhetoric. Independent humans dont get elected into office, unified interest and money do.
Perhaps it should interest the critics of my (unexpectedly) popular sentiment that I liked this video, despite Cenk talking about deregulation being the sole cause of the bust, which I don't agree with.
Jacob Lew, not Jack Lew, is a Clinton era appointed Orthadox Jew. He was a Citibank ceo thief who headed a group that invested in a hedge fund "that bet on the housing market to collapse." He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Surprise surprise.
I'm going to be voting for the very first time this election. I was going to vote for Obama, but now I have no idea who to vote for. In my opinion, Republicans are corrupt numbskulls, and I'm not at all impressed by any of the Republican nominees. It would take A LOT for me to vote for a Republican. However, I'm not sure that Obama is the right man for the job either based on his performance with the economy.
@darthvadersith514 You should really consider Ron Paul. I'm a progressive that has because I feel like everyone else up there is a sell out. If not him I don't know who else....and I'm definitely not voting for Obama again. Never ever again.
@jallison79 I've thought about it since he is so anti-establishment, but I think some of his ideas are a little reckless, particularly his isolationism and his ideas about Iraq. Plus, I'm wary of all politicians that call themselves Republicans. On the other hand, I'm not very familiar with his views since I spend so much time on my school work.
Richard Nixon marketed himself as a strong anti-communist,but when he won the Presidency he didn't really care about winning in Vietnam, and pursued Detente with the Soviets. So Obama isn't really as progressive as advertised. There is also a big disconnect between John Edwards progressive rhetoric and his wealthy lifestyle.Gee,maybe politicians aren't trustworthy.
Honesty, this doesn't surprise me at all. Obama's been doing this pattern for the past 3 years; He'll serve the establishment 98% of the time, but once every few months, he'll throw a bone to the progressive base in order to make them hopeful again and to get some of them back on his side to win a few votes back, before once again turning to the establishment and giving it virtually everything it wants in a selfish attempt to get money & power, just like every other politician. Rinse and repeat.
@qwertishly Banks are not allowed to kill people, take all their money, and sell their organs on the black market. Obama and Lew will get rid of this draconian regulation that is so damaging to the job creators.
@MastermindX Wow, don't people realize that they're killing the job creators by not letting them kill non-job creators? It's like declawing any predatory animal, forcing it to starve to death just to save some measly prey.
This is just one more reason and proof that big government and bureaucracy doesn't work to the people's best interest, and one more reason why you should give the middle finger to the establishment by voting for Ron Paul.
@kinkycommie Republicans are Democrats and Democrats are Republicans. Both parties consist mostly of big government statists.
There are no left/liberal and right/conservative parties, except if you turn to third parties - minus the Libertarian party, which is mostly libertarian, the opposite of statism.
Check out the Nolan chart (or other more complicated political spectrums than just the one-dimensional left-right spectrum).
Is there any truth in the rumours that Jack Lew believes that the earth, Mars and Sirius are only 6000 years old? Or is this slanderous gossip? Thank you.

Banks fucking rule this country...
OtakuRebel 2 months ago 42
@OtakuRebel That's part of it. Most Congress incumbents have had their districts gerrymandered to favor them over time. So the majority is screwed over because of power-hungry politicians drawing lines in favor of their party.

@OtakuRebel Well that's the "christian nation" for you. All of the politicians running are christian. They worship money and wealthy people.

@moosa86 Ron Paul wants deregulation of the banks too though, he has the same views as this Lew character
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 yes, but in his case he also wants to get rid of the regulations that keep banks from competing against each other, prevent banks from failing when they otherwise should, and all of the other stuff that gives them huge advantages from government. If this was done it's possible banks might not exist at all, or at least in any resemblance to their current form.
Houshalter 1 month ago in playlist More videos from TheYoungTurks
@Houshalter Banks produce nothing, they take money, competition in the free market doesn't work in the financial industry! Regulations do not prevent any kind of competition anywas, De-regulations led these banks to become too big to fail, not the other way around! These guys are playing with other peoples money so the incentive structure of the free market is fucked, the CEO of a company has no incentive to succeed!
rsty614 1 month ago
@Houshalter only difference between Obama and Paul is Obama pretends that he wants to regulate the banks but has no desire to do so, and Paul is honest in his Libertarian belief that Companies should have no rules or regulations (yet government should?). And as a business owner I understand stupid regulations in certain industries, where you produce a product or service to customers, but the more de-regulations on wall street, the more power/leverage they wield over our country
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 if the banks weren't so intermingled with government, you could choose to not put your money into the banking system or at least into banks you don't like. You wouldn't have to subsidize the risk of the banking industry through your taxes or inflated dollars.
The point is deregulation doesn't matter in a system in a system where the only people who would be at risk for the bad decisions of banks, would be those who voluntarily choose to take on that risk.
Houshalter 1 month ago in playlist More videos from TheYoungTurks
@Houshalter Banks are so intermingled with government because they pay our politicians, the only way to fix that would be through REGULATION, making a rule stating you can't do that, Free Market dictates the banks would pay Ron Paul more money then he could ever imagine and he would rationalize why it would be helpful to bailout the banks
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 we already have heavy regulations on political donations. Besides that only stops corruption. The government would still maintain countless destructive policies through central banking and all it's absurd and arbitrary regulations.
Ron Paul has received almost no corporate money if any, especially from banks, since his policies would effectively destroy the banking industry. They know that. He's also against bailouts.
Houshalter 1 month ago
@Houshalter deregulating the banks wouldn't destroy the banking industry, there is no campaign finance reform; the federal reserve has been around for almost 100 years, yet NOW this is the cause to all of our problems?
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 what do you think would happen to the banks if they didn't get free insurance, didn't get free bailouts, didn't get subsidies, etc?
Then why can't I donate whatever amount of money I want to a candidate? Of course we have regulations on this.
The Fed has been causing problems since it came into existence. It's nothing new.
Houshalter 1 month ago
@rsty614 I have never heard him say that, but even if he did at least he would be willing to let those crooked banks fall after they have failed. (he doesn't believe in bail outs) The country needs a leader and in my opinion neither Obama nor Romney are worth following. Paul is the only one that I see worthy of leading this country out of its current state.
moosa86 1 month ago
@moosa86 if no bailout: unemployment goes to 20% or more, thousands of small businesses have to close down or scale back due to lack of financing, I mean we are talking about the next great depression without those Bailouts, Hence why they are/were "too big to fail", they hold all the cards in the deck. I like Ron Paul, just think he is flat wrong about free market libertarian theories, it doesn't work in anything else in life why would it work in the financial industry

@rsty614 Interesting that you say "all" as if you personally interviewed them. This is one of the problems with the division that has been created in the WH. The only way to operate it functionally any longer is to have only one party in total control.
That really hasn't worked for us at the start of this admin.
ladylordess 1 month ago
@ladylordess My apologies...I didn't realize the word "all" insinuated that I had personally interviewed them, I thought it was common knowledge; For example you call Tim G: Tine Tim Tax cheat and John Corzine the madoff wannabe without interviewing them yourself correct? Also you have some very vague statements feel free to be more specific...what do you mean it cost the US too much for him to learn on the job? Cost us what exactly?
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 It is "common", I don't know if I would say it is "knowledge", if your main source of info is a liberal left loon source. Then it isn't really knowledge, rather propaganda.
Tiny Tim Turbo Tax Cheat and John Corzine's madoff wannabe is a specific comment about specific people, based on their actions. I did not group them together and say ALL dems are tax cheats and ex governor rip off artists, who happened to be up for treasury sec., just like Timmy.
What poor choices!
ladylordess 1 month ago
@rsty614 And I am assuming, but obviously you are unaware: when bho came to town: 9T deficit. today: 15.3 T and he wants to spend more. He promised to cut it in half. He lied!!!! We are borrowing and living beyond our means and stealing from the youth of our country. That is a greedy, inexcusable cost that they should not have to pay because this admin is buying votes for the 47% who pay not fed. tax.
ladylordess 1 month ago
@ladylordess so if he got the deficit back to 9trillion then you would be content with Obama? interesting...ok so if we remain at 15.3 trillion deficit how do you think that will affect our youth? and I have watched every republican debate and have watched fox news, so to be clearer for you...I don't know of a republican who wants to regulate the banking industry, I don't believe they exist, but you seem to be convinced otherwise..Can you name me one?
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 "content" is an odd choice of words. He promised to cut it in half, and instead doubled it. I would be happy with it around 1T. However, I'd be happier if he stopped the class warfare game that he is playing. He is far to devisive to be anyone leader. He has lied more than any politician in history.
Obama had a chance to do what we need most in banking: Regulation on Hedgefunds. He wouldn't dare do that to his donors.
ABO 2012 unless obama can unite the country!
ladylordess 1 month ago
@ladylordess good, I agree with you, I think he should raise taxes on the richest americans and get rid of corporate tax loopholes, and massively cut defense spending would really help the debt, and to be clear the deficit isn't 15T, the debt is at Trillion but I think you're on the right track
rsty614 1 month ago
@rsty614 I agree with you. The tax code needs to be rewritten and there should be a max tax number and no write offs for ANYONE. Everyone pays the same. roy862007 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@dark0tale0weaver That president only existed in his rhetoric. The healthcare plan was a right wing bailout of the insurance industry. Medicare for All was the real healthcare reform that would have saved 45,000 people a year from unnecessary death, and would have eliminated the deficit. But Obama is such a stooge of corporate America that he made sure you didn't even get a pathetically weak public option.
bluesenshi 2 months ago
@dark0tale0weaver Obama is a pragmatist; he turned the direction that money, votes, and the congressional dems went. To turn him left would be to organize votes/money that rival his corporate donations and their vote swaying efforts. The congressional dems rode on his coattails into power, then the corporate lobby and fox news beat them into submission and they in turned beat Obama’s rhetoric. Independent humans dont get elected into office, unified interest and money do.
