  • My Mum's funeral is this Monday coming 30th January @ 2.30pm, my mate has dowloaded this beautiful Elvis ballad and made the Order of Service for us.

My Mum will be looking down and will be 'made up' as she was a lifelong Elvis fan a founder member of the Oxford 'King Creole Club' many years ago.

Cheers Mark you've done me and my Mum proud!!!

    Neil

    Oxford

  • I love this song, it reminds me of my Mom & Grandparents. My Grandfather grew roses & would give them as gifts.

  • w@t@ tr@ck i love my mum x

  • Nothing negative, just loving you as I always have. Elvis has touched my heart since a very tender age and now that I've grown old, he still does, in a way like none other. Thankyou, Elvis, for the memories!

  • I love this song. Reminds me of my mum xx

  • this video always makes me start to cry when I listen to it. I wasn't around during the time of Elvis, but I am literally a die heart fan. It's so sad that Elvis died so soon. But that's life. You live and you die. The way he died was horrible, but we can't blame anyone else. Yes others contributed to all of the stress in Elvis' life, but it was his choice to continue taking drugs. Anyway,

long live the king. R.I.P Elvis. <3

  • this song can still make me cry, when i was young the only christmas music we had was a tape of elvis lol my mom loved this song it reminded her of her mother, now it reminds me of both, may they R.I.P

  • great song, thank you Elvis

  • Just had a dream about making tissue paper roses with my children a blond boy about 5 and two brown haired twin girls who were about 8. Elvis was playing no idea what. Great. Only I dont have kids. And never heard this song. I do have a mom I miss who loved roses as I do... Weird.

  • reminds me of my Mom, gone far too soon but never forgotton xxx

  • I just LOVE this song..... I always play it at Christmas especially....he was a gift from God!

  • Thank you for the amazing video.

  • This song reminds me of my Mom, I take a rose to her grave every special occasion. I miss her so much!

  • Loved the video. I have been there from the beginning and he was gorgeous from the first till the end, but in this era of late 60's he was beyond gorgeous. THE BEST LOOKING MAN I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! And at 71 i have seen plenty. YUUUUUMMM, Yuuuuum!!!!!!! Jackie, love all your videos.

  • this is my moms favorite song ill never forget it

  • kooL

  • he needed a woman like Ann Margret....his real love

  • My mom passed away 2 yrs ago. She loved roses and Elvis. I forgot about this song till now. It brought tears to my eyes.

  • A beautiful Tribute to all the Mother`around the world.

    Best regards

  • every time i listen to this song it brings back memories of my nan..........

  • !! GREAT SONG BY THE GREAT ELVIS PRESLEY !!

  • Sweet photos.

  • how gorgeous was elvis i wish i had met him so special,,

  • mama like t the roses......

  • i love you elvis! iwish i attend your concerts ( am 32 but i always thought i was born in the wrong decade)

  • This is sent out to my special friend...she knows who she is... :)

  • elvis was the king and he loved her as all his heart would give

  • Elvis was such a babe.

  • So much reminds me of my mama!!!! Always brings a tear to my eyes!!!!

  • And if you look in to Elvis eyes, from middle of his carrier to the late of it, you will see that he knewd something we dont

But look how it end, sadley, but´s true

  • i blame colnol parker for evis's tragic death, elvis needed to have a break nd return rested nd recuperated but that dick parker, wouldnt let him rest, for one evis was a great if not the greatest entertainer of all time, nd that fuck who isnt even a colnol messed elvis about nd messed him up, he was takin half of elvis's money nd over worked him, if yuh agree that (fake colnol)parker needed to let elvis rest thumbs up

  • @djyoungie def parker tosser xx

  • aspen1987...Love this song by Elvis....Very touching song and makes me almost cry....I miss my mother so much....Lost her two years ago in May......

  • Love this song. Played at my nans funeral last year. Always makes me cry x

  • this makes me cry.... I miss my mother so much.

  • One of my favorite songs. Ever since I purchased the 45'.

  • Elvis simply wasn't the type to be married to anyone, that's my five cents to it. At least not after he hit it big and his mother died.

  • @TheLuigisan Must agree with you bro.... When the money starts rolling in so does everything (The Hell) that comes with it...Too much wealth for anyone is not good..inmy opinion...unless you are single...

  • too bad his brother died at birht.. would have been interesting ...

  • i could listen to his amazing voice til the end of time...... Elvis....I love you xxx

  • farranspointon - sorry but you´´ re another one who would prefer to find good matches for stars yourself. I am sure that you ´d find another woman for John Lennos as well instead Yoko. Better leave everybody make her or his choice -:)

  • elvis was one of the greats if not the greatest entertainer thusfar but could you imagine how good the duet with ozzy osbourne would have been if they could have hooked up in vegas !!!

  • @garrycruickshank listen mate u r talking through ur arse ozzy wasnt any good wen he was crap still is crap elvis is king

  • @farranspointon AMEN!

  • @Coolrockndad There is nothing as simple as that. Life is complicated.

  • @desttre Sure it was. Elvis was an only son, born with a twin that died at birth. He became a momma's boy rather he wanted to or not. When his mom died that was the beginning of the end for Elvis. He became hooked on prescription drugs to ease the mental pain. Yes as simple as that.

  • @Coolrockndad Elvis was mamas son alright but he was a good sweet well bred mama's son ,loved his mama and respected her and was faithfull to her memory unlike so many momms sons who are un greatful and abusive god bless their souls ,elvis' and his mom

  • @maypresley I never said he wasn't or didn't. Your're preaching to the choir. : )

  • Real tears and aching from loss in these words. When Elvis sang, he put his feelings and emotions in a way that all people could relate to. I was 13 when:" Aloha From Hawaii " came out. I would listen to;"What Now My Love" and was moved. Who does that today with such viability is simple NO ONE !

  • Love Elvis. Got every album he ever put out all pre-death. But Look up all you young uns....Elvis was a drug addict thanks to himself and his doctors who helped him get drugs to get up in the morning and go to bed at night. Priscilla had nothing to do with his death. She was 14 when she met him and fell madly in love. How do i know this. I watched it as I was there in that time and it was all over TV. She would have done anything to save him. Problem is when his mom died he didn't want to live

  • @farranspointon they were actually talking about getting back together right before he died

  • @farranspointon prescilla forced herself on him actually she was too materialistic for Elvis that's why she so wrong for him!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • great song

  • @farranspointon Priscilla was from Germany!!!!! and how can you judge someone you don;t know is that what Jesus would say???????

  • @Lilithstoybox I don't think Priscella was from Germany, she was there with her father who was in the U.S Air Force. She was 14 when she met Elvis. Army/Navy officers usually didn't spend that much time stationed at one post, so chances are she wasn't born in Germany.

  • @Lilithstoybox priscilla was not from germany she was there because her father was transferred there shes from Brooklyn, New York thats where she was born if you dont believe me look it up for yourself

  • @starr1suicide I just watched your "acting dumb" video. I had to know how old you are because the "If you don't believe me look it up for yourself" comment sounds like something my 11yr. old would say. Yes Priscilla was born in the states but by the time she met Elvis she had spent more time out of the the states than in, but as usual ppl on the web missed the whole point to my comment. The point was NOT to judge ppl. The 1950's and 60's were a different time.

  • @Lilithstoybox im 18 years old and that video was 2 years ago i up loaded it a year ago.. and i guess your not from ohio because everyone from ohio says that

  • Amazing song!!!!

     I love it!!!!

    **********

  • Goed

  • I love Youtube but, I wish they would put the titles back on the songs listed

on the right. Thanks for this post, I love elvis and have been a fan of his

    for 50 + years.

  • God Bless Elvis, and his family. Thank you Elvis for all the years of entertainment and enjoyment. Thank you for being you.

  • i called my step grandma mudder ........

  • i miss my mudder she love roses she been gone so long and i can still smell them we miss u mudder

  • gooshebumps

  • I love Elvis and I still miss him terribly and I love that he loved his mother, he was a wonderful son and a terrific man. I'm sorry we lost you the day before my 16th B-Day Elvis.....but you are still loved and missed.....

  • Fotini349 I feel your pain my mother loved this song too I remember every Christmas her playing this song and many others of Elvis decorating the tree this was a tradition many years of my life. She has now passed away on Christmas eve( her favorite holiday ) 2008 and I keep those precious memories every year and play that song

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND TOO MY MAMA LIKED THE ROSES SHE MISSING TO ME SO MUTH.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND TOO MY MAMA LIKED THE ROSES

  • @farranspointon i don't think it's that simple. the only thing taht would have saved Elvis is if he had got a wife like june carter, who got him off drugs. but you also gotta realize Elvis is unlike any other person who ever lived. he was like a roman emperor or something, he always got what he wanted, even if it wasn't good for him, and his memphis mophia was too afraid to try and help him.

  • @danhabsfan9

    Good Point! Thanks

  • I used to watch Elvis movies all the time younger. Have good grit for a prettier younger type. Good sense. One of the worlds finest singers. I can do Elvis impersonations of all his facet exact but takes recollections on some. Got so many impersonation exactness on so multiudes of artist. My own sytle is lke Tu Jour on my channel. Its all ad libed by me except the bare music. Have couple up to 1 ten minutes long studio song same lingo as Tu Jour. Top 40 quality. Music by Cakewalk and Majix.

  • @farranspointon I will tell you that she stood by him till the end.....

  • @49erlifer I'm sure that is true but not as a wife.

  • Hey friend it's nice to see nobody will let the Kings voice die.he was the greatest and one of a kind.If i could ask if you would please check out my vocal tribute to The man Elvis along with other legends such as Johnny Cash Louie Armstrong and more to come!I've been singing since age 13 and it's nice to see if my 37 yrs of practice paid off.Thank you,God Bless!!

  • My momma liked the roses. RIP Mom

  • @n8iveracerx Mine too. I miss you mama.

  • @alamanderflash I watered the roses today,my mom is visiting Elvis as we speak, she left on her journey sept.2010

she liked the roses.Mom, i miss you so much.

    Love Todd

  • @cpr4all I hope she is enjoying meeting him as much as I'm sure my mother is. Peace.

  • I think Jesus created Elvis to love the world with song like this one, it is very difficult not to cry. It touches the very flesh of your heart ...

  • Absolutely Beautiful!!!

  • The quality of his voice is most often described as soulful. It had an 'aching sincerity and an indefinable quality of yearning virtually impossible to pigeon hole'. His three-octave vocal range was exceptional, 'very narrowly all at once a tenor, baritone, and bass'. A 1987 article in the Village Voice included an assessment of his voice in classical terms, categorizing it as a 'lyric baritone but with unexpectedly rich low notes and astounding high notes'. (taken from Elvis Australia)

  • I feel love, when I listen this song. God Bless You Elvis

  • I think this pretty much says what kind of man Elvis was and how much he loved his mother. It was strange, when I heard this song for the first time, it was on a Christmas album and not one by Elvis either. I was very young and can't remember the name of the album now.

  • great song nice one

  • te Quero mucho mama te exrano tonto te me fuistes el 8 de noviembre del2010 siempre me voy a acordar cuando miro una rosa en el jardin. Isabel Avelar era el nombre de mi mama.

  • Thanks Elvis for a song we all would like to sing to our mom!

  • I too finally clicked on this link and think that Elvis thought of his Mum when he sang it.

The Kink lives on and on and on....forever in the hearts of loving people all over the world...

  • ya know. i saw the link for this song a few times but never clicked on it. i'm glad i finally did. i've listend to it 3 times in a row and i'm probibly gonna listen to it one more time.

  • Ninguém canta ou cantará como Elvis.Que voz, que entonação, que sentimento ! Único!

  • July 29th 1997 I miss you, Momma

  • Grazie , Elvis!

  • Wish my mama loved me half this much!

  • Did you Elvis was a twin. His brother died young so many never knew. Can you imagine..2 of them? WOW!

  • @BloodlustLizzy He was stillborn and Elvis lived. Not uncommon back then with twins.

  • @BloodlustLizzy Go to Las Vegas and you'll see more than two :) But indeed he had a twin and I wonder what he would have become if he had lived. He would often have been mistaken by fans.

  • @ThalieXVII well would Elvis had even become a big rock star if his brother was born alive? what might have happened if his brother had not died was something that dwelt on Elvis alot through out his life. according to him, his mama said that god let him live and not his brother because he had choose him to do something special. and as Elvis put it, his mama wouldn't lie.

  • Bonnie McClure 06/18/2009 and Richard McClure 11/29/2009 mom and brother Rick.. wherever you might be RIP to you both.

  • just looking at these pictures of elvis and knowing what would happen to him in such a short space of time should be warning enough that drugs, whether legal medication or street stuff , should be avoided at all costs! what a terrible waste of a great talent and human being.

  • where ever u are mum rest in peace its to late now but i am sorry for everything elvis51 xxx

Felülmúlhatatlan ez az ember, hangban, kinézetben, szinte már túl tökéletes!

0.57 és az 1.00 perc közti kép VERHETETLEN! Azt hiszem nem született a földre nála tökéletesebb férfi!

  • Did Elvis write this song for his own mother?....I dont know much about him or his life. It was before my time. Wow he is a brilliant performer.

  • Its one beautiful song, its on Elvis Christmas Album, for some reason that song just seems to fit right in with the other songs. This is one song that I love to hear, but I have never made it all the way thru, without tears falling.

  • one sad song but good x

  • My mama liked Elvis Presley, because She loved the music and I love Elvis too.

  • Thank You Very Much.

  • Oh I forgot 1 more-OLD SHEP,I remember my mom once played it for me because she had asked me if I had ever heard the song and I hadn't,so she looked through my Elvis collection and she put on OLD SHEP I hadn't played it because it seemed like such an old song that I didn't think I would like it(goes to show how very ignorant I was to good songs-lol),but my mom played it and it was niagra falls the minute I heard the opening line, I can't listen to it because I end up breaking into tears-lol.

  • Oh another one that moves me to tears, that's #3-The 1st is one he did called Life, the 2nd is American Trilogy and then there's this one,so pretty.

  • @calster33 Don't forget my boy.

  • Eu não gostei do documentário da vida de Elvis Presley, feito no canal E, no domingo.Só falaram mal dele.Detestei. Ele não era drogado como eles falaram.

  • A beautiful song. I Love you mother and miss you so much. May you rest in peace.

  • My Mama liked Elvis Presley, like Me, because She loved Music and She said that Elvis had a big and beautiful voice.

  • @mamushk9love152 I second that. He was beautiful, gorgeous, humble , gentle, generous and to top it all he was the best performer/singer to ever grace the world, it is a much sadder place without him. R.I.P darling Elvis.
