  • j'adore!!!!!!!!

  • What a funky-mustasch .-)

  • This guy is an acceptable singer but his real talent is scalp flipping. The best since Victor Mature.

  • You know a bass is badass when he's backed up by three tenor 1's

  • Mr. Pots!

  • Elvis!!!

  • que vergonha de ser tenor...

  • does anybody know where i can find the lyrics he's using?

  • i had to scroll down and read comments..his football field forehead was too distracting

  • É PEERUCA SILVIO SANTOOOS '-'

  • The Bible says that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. So someday you will change your mind....I just hope it's not too late for you.

  • @andyhorton1000 amen!! God Bless for u standing strong for our Savior Jesus Christ!! Theyll regret it one day at judgement

  • That's J. D.'s cousin in the middle and James Blackwood's son on the right.

  • @DavesNotHere56 I thought I recognized the guy in the middle from somewhere. Thanks for clearing that up. Stupid me I always thought his cousin was his son.

  • Sounds like the plantion is overloaded and sings 4 help!!!

  • J D hit double low c as a world record. middle c c low c double low c

  • Damn, i can't take the guy on the right seriously. Looks like voldemort with hair.

  • Subwoofer from 1967.... hehe.... Great low vocal :o)

  • That just might be Willie Nelson on Bass in his clean shaven state before he went outlaw in the 70's.

  • I do have to admit.... I love hearing this man sing gospel music. JD, thank you for your gift you have left us. Thank you for you blessing us with your offensively low bass voice. :)

  • KevinTheNoobie, Bahhaaa, great one.

  • I can't stop staring at his moving hairline.

  • @KevinTheNoobie

Me neither!!!! Looks like his head changes size :)

  • In the range of human voices, J D Sumner is an oktavist. He's in the Guinness Book Of Records for singing the lowest note on record (C1, three octaves below middle C).

  • @rdlonghunter

    That's 32 Hz; pretty low. God's gift.

  • @EdWatts

stop this god shit...there is lots of practise and genetic//

  • @JerryNejd1

    ...and the genetics came from...?

I would like for you to come visit me with your surliness.

I have no more time for your angry self. Have a good life.

  • Muito lindo esse vídeo com nosso sempre e eterno J.D.Sumner, esse é o cara sempre, sempre...

  • yeah it is amazing how low this guy can reach but it sounds crap and is not even in key for a lot of the very low notes...

  • @rizzdrums4life It might be a bit out of tune, but it's close.

  • I like the way his hair moves forward whenever he wrinkles his brow XD

  • I didn't know Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) was the middle singer

  • i'm jelly

  • esse mano é fera

  • hai hair is alive :O

  • i love jd summer he is s kool and he did a lot of stuff with elvis presley and when he said that elvis presley tas left the binding for ever and he will not come back and this kenzie i am on facebookit is kenzie prittey girl rock brooks you can toke to me on ther and i love elvis presley and jd summer .

  • Snoopyflick, I hate to tell you, but JD Sumner not only had potential, he was one of the greatest bass singers that ever lived, and probably the most famous. While JD Sumner may not hold the record for the lowest bass note ever hit, few would argue he could hold some of the lowest notes harmoniously in a song.

  • @MrBadAttitude77 You hit the nail on the head, enuf sed!

  • JD sang on many Elvis songs---he went so low in tone that Elvis squeezed his head once---ha!

  • I guess people don't realize this is OLD footage! JD Sumner HAD a great career! The old gray-haired man in the other pictures is ALSO JD Sumner. I mean this was BUCK OWENS' show!

  • This video is amazing!

Sheldon Cooper singin' in the middle o/

  • That sounds like me in the morning

  • A voz dele é muito grave. MUITO LEGAL NOTA10

  • This bassist has potential. He should seriously consider a career in singing. He could be huge.

  • his forehead has a life of its own

  • My God this song is hard to sing.

  • Simplesmente fantástico, a voz mais grave que já existiu no mundo, gosto muito que quartetos a capella e esse é um dos melhores de se ouvir.

  • 0:11 ed edd and eddy lol

  • No wonder JD was Elvis's favorite

  • He had better quality to his voice when he wasn't hitting his very lowest notes. But he could still hit those AMASINGLY LOW notes!!!!

  • After Elvis died JD should have sung in a Death Metal Band. He blows away any of those posers who try to sing in a low growl, and with that haircut and suit he would have caused a worldwide sensation !!!

  • @racer500gp DUDE.... wicked awesome thought... why didnt i think of that?!?! DUDE... thats all i can say, DUDE, awesome

  • @misanthrope306 Thank you my friend . It's too bad he never pursued that avenue !!!

  • You gotta love the Errol Flynn mustache !!!

  • I am reading J.D.Sumners autobiography, his voice got lower the older he got. he was the type that the longer he was awake the lower his voice was aswell. great Gospel legend.

  • este foi o melhor de todos . Depois dele não houve e nem haverá outro igual .

    THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ME DESCULPE TIM STORM

  • how can a deep voice like this come from a small man:O? it's like hades when he is constipated

  • @SataniKID JD was about 6' 5"

  • @ChangsUncle what i was trying to say is that he is skinny

  • @SataniKID I saw him at a couple of concerts and he was sort of thin. Talking face to face off the microphone his voice was every bit as low as when he performed.

  • 11 pessoas não conseguem mover a peruca como JD Sumner

  • Almost couldn't hear that :))

    btw

what's that song at the end?

  • Concert promoters often billed JD as the "undisputed" lowest bass singer in the world. Off the keyboard...in live concert no less, was entirely within his reach and recordings exist where he does just that. Sure, saying undisputed made for some good publicity but I fully believe that what was known back then still holds true today.

  • Anybody notice how he can move the whole top quater of his head???

  • niggah

  • My favorite bass of all time and Elvis admired him so.

  • the ultimate deep-throat !!! my favorite low man

  • Oh hey, it's Toby Maguire in the middle.

  • I bet this guy can hit the brown note...

  • @skyclaw441 HA HA HA I SHIT IN MY PANTS :D

  • @skyclaw441 He did and I crapped my pants !!! Ha ha ha ha

  • Comment removed

  • @skyclaw441 where do you think the myth started? ;)

  • God bless The Great J.D Summer!

  • Who was the other 3 in the stamps quartet at that time ? Anybody know ?

  • @jmhcwilliams Jim Hill, Donnie Sumner and James Blackwood Jr. left to right .

  • Isn't this performance in the Geniss Book as lowest recorded human voice ever??

  • @ericbritchie no taht was blessed assurance

  • that hair movment is a little creepy lol

  • A real bass singer

  • thats how low i sing

  • ajaja im a tenor 1 so i wouldnt even think of touching that, but this guy is talented

  • I think it was before Hee Haw. Either that, or around the same time (late 60s, early 70s).

  • That's quite a low register you have there, Mr. Sumner.

  • haha stud ;)

  • esse é o cara!

  • Im impressed by his voice... but his head freaks me the fuck out

  • the backround singer in the middle is andy grifith

  • good job nice low note

  • Yep, good ol' Vladimir WhatsHisName; I know him well, lol. Just kidding. Anyway, thanks for posting this. I haven't heard JD Sumner in a while, and Don Rich on the guitar at the end of the show brings back a lot of memories. My family used to watch the Buck Owens Show when I was a kid (yeah, I'm freakin' old; don't remind me, lol)

  • @iplayfhorn The Buck Owens Show. hmmmmm.. was that before or after Hee Haw?

He's quite the peppy dude in that Native American jacket.

  • @Baritone45 Before Hee Haw approx 1964 from Bakersfield, California

  • lol when he wrinkles his forehead his hair moves!

  • @panda123456789ed Seen two comments of yours saying you can hit Ab0, yet no video. I see no reason to believe you buddy.

  • @DaKilla27 Why the hell would I lie??? Im not a frickin spammer XD Alrite Ill post a vid

  • What a smooth gentle bass.

  • Comment removed

  • @panda123456789ed if you can hit a note lower than jd sumner make a vid and send it to me

  • @humphreydude88 k! Will send it 2 you after 1-2 weeks, caught with a bad case of laryngitis :( DAmn it

  • @panda123456789ed dude, no offense to you but i truly doubt that you could get lower than JD Sumner. If you take a listen to I've got to walk that lonesome road, you will find that he gets lower than many bases even can project normally. Like i said, i'm not calling you a liar that you can read a low Ab0, but i don't think that really anyone can reach a note and sing it stronger than JD.

  • @Thepianoman881 Ok, maybe I exaggerated that my Ab0 is stronger than him....I watched some of his other clips and maybe he IS indeed stronger than me...by a little bit only tho. The guys I really appreciate are Yuri Wichniakov and Vladimir WhatsHisName guys, they're unreally strong. Much (No exaggeration at all) stronger than JD. Not taking anything away from him, he's awesome anyways.

  • @panda123456789ed BTW the 3 guys at 2:30 are looking like real noobs XD

  • @Thepianoman881 i did take a listen to those others that you told me about, and i do see what you mean.. My only concern with some of them is the fact that they get so low that i personally can't tell what they are saying, even though it is in russian. but those fellows are very good bases. usually Germans and Russians have the best deep voices. I myself am German, a freshman in highschool, and can hit a double C on a good day. most often though i hit the D and E just above it......

  • dont forget the bee gees!!!

  • 3:15 - He overdid it in this place :/

  • j d rules

  • J.D. talked in same voice that he sang in. I worked where he got his hair cut in Nashville. He was a hoot, to say the least!

  • From 3:15 on he sounds like he's about to open another dimension.

  • thats cool, I can sing from C2 to A5

  • Look at elvis in the back lol

  • 0:48

    his hair is alive :O

  • check out "Blackwood Brothers-On the jericho road" Ken turner in there can realy give it a wopping!!

  • I am a sophomore in high school and on some days can hit a c. Singing like this is no problem. I could hit a d when I was in like 7th grade.

  • i was wearing skullcandy skullcrusher headphones with the amplified woofers in em and i thought my ears were about to be vibrated OFF!

  • Well... the actual basses seems just like baritones or tenors compared with JD Sumner... I just wonder if I could hear him or George Younce personaly... R.I.P Mr. Sumner and Mr. Younce!!

  • nobodys better than jd

  • He reminds me of the janitor from Scrubs.....only a way better singer.

  • The guy in the centre looks like Sheldon Cooper

  • Bill Murray and Sheldon in the choir

  • solamente, MAGNIFICO.

  • Interesting facial expressions on the trio.

  • im going there to beat my mother

    thats what i understand

  • @Juma1st it's MEET my Mother

  • forgive me if im tooting my own horn but im only 22 years old and im already almost as low as jd but unfortunatly my voice isn't ready for the double low c yet

  • amazing grandioso erstaunlich stupefacente 素晴らしい mengherankan i para el hispano no se que mas poner

  • que de souvenirs j'ai rencontré JD Sumner 1fois et je me souviendrai toute ma vie

  • Comment removed

  • @Mr99632 But can you sing? Do you plan on using you're talents for Jesus Christ like J.D.

  • the greatest impression of JD is the mastering of voice and vowels. in this song he sits on a vowel 'aaa' which is hell for most bases. they easily do the vowel 'uuh'

  • J D sumner will always be the best lowest bass singer of all times.

  • @alaitain tim riley can give him a run for his money though

  • agraço a Deus por poder ouvir sons como esse.Chego a emocionar-me com JD!

  • yeah i love to sing to jds songs the ones i can sing too, the lowest i can go is the note where richard sterban goes oompapa oompapa mow mow the 2nd time. i dont even know what note that is.

  • o cabelo de esta vivo?

  • JD can move his hair pretty good

  • @jburd4469 lol...Yeah...

  • @jburd4469 maybe he learn it of Elvis, but i think JD don't dance, so Elvis sad lets talk about your hair :D

  • now i can sing C2 and sometimes B1 :D

  • muito bom.

cantando desse jeito até parece eu rs

    muito bom mesmo.

  • That hair is just epic! He could play football without a helmet and be just fine.

  • excellent song! enviable voice!

btw, it looks kinda funny in 0:27 - 0:29 how his forehead skin stretches XDDD

  • I don't know if I have the lowest voice in my school, but I have hit the A below C2. NO JOKE.

  • @tubaeuphboyemk4 not to rain on your parade..but i mean an A isnt too low..

  • @nglyder I don't know if I had the right terminology there, but I mean the lowest note on the piano. How low do you think you can sing? (The lowest note on the piano is low for my age.)

  • @tubaeuphboyemk4 i probaly wasnt right either man...but if your saying the lowest key, ive never heard it before. being fourteen i can only hit a low c (just to be specific, take middle C and drop it two octives) :/ i cant do anything lower without it being vocal fry

  • @nglyder for me, the lowest A is a vocal fry.

  • nossa!

que coisa bizarra, mas o cara é foda demais!

    AUSHUASHUUAHS

  • im 14 and i have the deepest voice in my school

  • @BoboSab3121

cauta-l pe un anume Filip Panait. trece in an 2 la conservator, e bass. Foarte rari sunteti.

  • Im 15 and i have a really deep voice to deeper that some grown men and i can sing pretty deep to.

  • @taw2014 to what

  • @BoboSab3121 im 13 and have the deepest voice in my school too tough a lot of people make unnecessary fuzz about it it gets annoying sometimes

  • @BoboSab3121 my voice drop very deep when i was 14,I'm 16 now i can do the same thing as you.

  • @BoboSab3121 me too

  • @BoboSab3121 nice dude I'm 15 and am one of only two basses in my church choir. not sure exactly what my lowest note is... I don't know a lot about music.

  • @BoboSab3121 / hey guy, justin bieber cant sing very good anyways.

  • @BoboSab3121 You say your from Romania? What part?

  • @BoboSab3121 Did you just like wake up and your voice was like that?

  • @thepielord26 no , :) my voice went down like a half step in3 months now i can sing without fry A#1 (or A1# i dont know how its spelled)

  • @BoboSab3121 they must hang pretty low!

  • @BoboSab3121 ok dude come on. this video isnt about Justin Bieber. Sure im not a huge fan of him either but come on. we are glad you can hit a C# but leave out the Justin Bieber part.

  • @OliverSplat that coment was 4 montss ago and i was obsessed with hating jstin bieber lol :P

  • @BoboSab3121 Your English is just fine. Don't worry about a thing. Please keep on singing. It can make you very happy and your voice is not something you will lose over time. It will only get better! Good luck!

  • @rockinredneck57 thanks:)

  • @BoboSab3121 I am the same. I am a freshman in high school and I am the lowest " bass" considering I can hit an F1. I am actually a baritone, considering I cant hit over a G3 without it cracking or sounding like shit.

  • @BoboSab3121 haha dude me too!...is it really hard to it for you or easy?

  • @hayden4139 well im 15 now and i can sing C1 at anytime and sometimes B1 or even A#1 but with a low volume its not that hard

  • @BoboSab3121 Can you do it without vocal fry?
