@ARB082 Beavis and Butthead was funny in the 90's. You can tell the new ones won't live up to it and Family Guy is just becoming more and more stupid (it was funny for a while). Don't compare stuff like that too the Looney Tunes.
I just know the voice actor who did Porky was screwing around one day in the production office while some audio recording was going on. during this, he was doing an average Porky cartoon voices, screwed up the line and said just this. the rest of the cast laughed their friggin asses off, and the animators decided this would be halarious to have porky actually say. hence, this clip!
There are two preceding bits to this "blooper" where he just stutters "Son of a b-b-b-b-bb-b-bb-b" then it ends, including one where you can see the sync marks in the frames for the hammer strikes. These are not true bloopers but gag reels for the Termite Terrace Xmas parties and such. They showed all three back in the 80's on a USA Network show called Night Flight along with some Private Snafu excerpts and other oddities. I miss that show and wish they would be released on DVD or BluRay.
In 35 years of broadcasting, trust me..we did these and so much more! You can call it whatever you like. The ever popular "Blooper Tape" consisted of many "hand crafted " bloopers such as this.
i wish Looney Tunes still showed in theaters and Tom & Jerry curse me for not being born in the 1920's could have watched them in a nice big theater rather than my basement lol
I actually have a VHS tape of a blooper reel that was put out by movie studios with an even longer version of this clip with several different vocals on it. This clip is the last of the group and on the tape you can hear the crew laughing in the background. It also has various clips of movie stars of the era screwing up lines and then swearing.
WB Classic ! Being mindful of how CONTEMPORARY common-respect & social niceties & decent-manners by & within built-up modern western societies have degenerated to appallingly low gutter-levels, especially amongst the young .. this little clip wouldn't cause a ripple. However, if it's dated from the 40s or so .. it would most likely have raised the roof if shown in cinemas then. Me .. I find this little skit an uproariously funny one .. typical of the "out there" Warner Bros crew of the day. 5*
I agree with ProjektFuBAr, I mean this was aired in cinemas! theres even a whole Looney Toons episode making fun of 30's celebertys and it iven has some mild sexual references.
I once downloaded this from Morpheus one time once in the early 2000's (I think it was 2002 or something) and I thought "What the heck is this?" So I downloaded it and played and I just laughed! Looney Tunes does have its dark sides!
The cartoon industry has done other things like Nazi propaganda in the past and racial remarks and seizure inducing cartoons the cartoon industry is evil
About 16 years ago, my friend & I were watching a movie on cable & after the credits this "blooper" came on. We both were shocked & in disbelief. Don't remember the movie but , I would swear it was a comedy. At the time we thought that perhaps it was something we had imagined due to our "altered" state of mind but, having BOTH seen it, we were sure it was'nt just our imaginations running wild. Thanks for confirming that we were'nt just buzzed and hallucinating.
This was some behind the scenes fun by the crew. Meant to make each other laugh. I first saw this back in the 70's on Betamax. I heard it was never meant for release but got out. Many such videos were made but this is one of my favorite. Great surprise to those who don't know about it.
This wasn't used in any cartoon. The strict censorship at that time wouldn't permit profanity (the one notable exception being Gone With the Wind's, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn"). This was merely done for the enjoyment of the animation staff.
Before YouTube was even thought of, I originally found this "porky pig blooper" when I was downloading videos from the internet especially when it had "dial-up." I searching along 'looney tunes' titles on the bar, then i came to this heading that said "porky pig blooper". I didn't know what it meant and i was wondering what it was. so i downloaded the video, which was only 9 seconds long, and watched it to find out. When porky said "bitch", my mouth dropped open and I was in total shock.

The voice actor was Mel Blanc. He told me this was done deliberately.

The reason for the drum close is because that's what I chose to use. At the time, I did not have the original open and close for this. I do now.
kjq45 9 months ago
When did this blooper come out?
I'm wondering because it has the "stylized" Porky-In-A-Drum ending. which was introduced in "Porky's Hotel" (1939).
BWayans2001 9 months ago
@BWayans2001 This clip did not originally have the traditional open and close. Not sure of the year.
kjq45 9 months ago
@kjq45 It didn't? Then why, I ask you, why does this clip have the open and close, that was used in late-1939 through mid-1940?
BWayans2001 9 months ago
@BWayans2001
This was made in 1938

actually most of it back in the 30s and 40s were specifically targeted towards tax payers for war-bond and tax efforts against the "Nazis."
But there was a time when it was just adult cartoons and entertainment. =]
