Such an awesome vid, still have it and the other cin's from WC3 and TFT, though I fondly said farewell and uninstalled both a long while ago. Illidan is by far my favourite WC character, as the delicate balance of good and evil always wavers within him. I still hope he returns at Some point. It wouldn't be the first time supposedly slain bosses returned. Naga are very cool, but I always wondered what kind of pact Illidan made with his old queen in order to procure their service..

Well, speaking of everyone dies..pretty much Everyone Has died. Thrall, Tyrande, Velen, Illidan..any npc that Can be killed has been offed. Without characters there can be no story, I suppose. And it doesn't make sense that a bunch of nameless nobodies took down such pivotal characters in Warcraft lore. Well. In all honesty, think well here. What would they do to the movie?
1-They'd stay true to the original storyline, hence only be able to focus majorly on one faction, so one of the factions would be entirely dissapointed.
2-Make up a random big enemy that both factions can unite against. Yet still they'd have to stray too far from the original plot.
Then Illidan ran to Outland, afraid of Kiljaeden's wrath, but not before he helped Malfurion to rescue Tyrande, whom Illidan still cared, although she was Malfurion's beloved. Illidan then conquered the Outland, and shot down all the Dark Portals, that Nerzhul had oppened years before, so that demons and Kiljaeden would never find them. In the end it was no use though. Kiljaeden found them and Illidan went to Northrend to complete his mission, but failed once again, when Arthas showed up.
I wouldnt be so sure about that....I would bet Kiljae'den is far more powerful, though Illidan is quite strong himself. Hopefully we see more of him in Warcraft IV, he is one of my favorite characters after Arthas...hopefully we see them again against eachoter in epic battle, this time in full CG-Cinematic cutscene, like Blizzard was supposed to do in the end of Frozen Throne, but they run out of time.
yes, Kil jae'dan suppose to be much powerfuller then illidan. But Illidan is the most powerfull boss in the World of Warcraft. Kil jae'dan gave Illidan that power to beat Arthas, but it wasnt enough. Kil jea'dan was afraid of Arthas and the Lich King so he gave his powers to Illidan, so in fact Illidan is stronger than Kil jae'dan.
Well what I remember from Warcraft III:Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne, Illidan was first transformed by the Skull of Gul'dan. Arthas was the one who told Illidan about the demon artifact, and he wanted Illidan to kill Tichondrius, the leader of the Dreadlords so that Legion would be weakend. Then in Frozen Throne, Kiljaeden appeared to Illidan. He wanted Illidan to destroy Lich King, because after Legion's defeat Nerzhul and the Scourge didnt have to obey them anymore, much like you said.
But Kil'jaeden didnt give Illidan his own powers. Instead he told him of the another demon artifact, the Eye of Sargeras and Illidan used the naga to find it and claim it. Illidan then tried to use the artifact to shatter the Icecrown to pieces, but the artifact was tearing the whole world apart and propably, that was one part of Kiljaeden's plan all along. Luckily Illidan's brother Malfurion along whit Tyrande Whisperwind and Maiev Shadowsong stopped him before the damage could be done.
But bottom line, Illidan is what he is because of the Skull of Guldan that transformed him in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, though I wonder, why Kiljaeden never returned to punish him of his failure to destroy the Lich King.
Well, as you may know, he was imprisoned by his brother after the War of the Ancients (first war between Burning Legion and Night Elves 10 000 years before the events of Warcraft and WoW). He actually joined the Legion, because he wanted to learn about their powers, but had also a plan to destroy the Legion, but go to WoWwiki or better read War of the Ancients trilogy written by Richard A. Knaak. What I have understood he is now half-demon, half-night elf, now consumed by demon's evil power.
You'll are so weird, but who am I to talk. I personally think that Tyrande is hot. I'd fight both Illidan and Malfurion for her. So you'll can have Illidan.
i really really wish that blizzard would make the naga a permanent race and add some new units in it on warcraft 4 (hoping) it's because the naga are so darn sexy!

Some of the things Illidan has done has been very honorable. Yes, like turning himself into a half demon to have the power to destroy Tichondrious. But it wasent just the goal of killing the dreadlord that made him absorb the powers of the Skull of Ghul'dan that made him do it. It was Illidans lust for power, the same craving that was the reason they imprisoned him in the first place. But he has also been treated with hate and mistrust when ther was no call for it. Many sides to his story :)
I just read the sunwell trilogy (idk if you did read them) and Illidan has been treated with hate and mistrust... cause he deserves it. When he was a free nightelf citizen, he had the choice between dark magic and demonhunting or wisdom and druidism. He betrayed his own brother and tyrande knowing wat he was doing.
Btw in the novels, a succubus went to corrupt him when he was thinking to quit his ascension to the "dark side". so 25% of wat happened to him wasn't his fault in my opinion =)
if you play the campaigns u will see he is walking the border. u can make ur own mind up if illidan is evil or not. he saves them all by killing tichondrius, but to do that he must turn himself into a half demon. myself wouldnt call that evil

Then Illidan ran to Outland, afraid of Kiljaeden's wrath, but not before he helped Malfurion to rescue Tyrande, whom Illidan still cared, although she was Malfurion's beloved. Illidan then conquered the Outland, and shot down all the Dark Portals, that Nerzhul had oppened years before, so that demons and Kiljaeden would never find them. In the end it was no use though. Kiljaeden found them and Illidan went to Northrend to complete his mission, but failed once again, when Arthas showed up.

I wouldnt be so sure about that....I would bet Kiljae'den is far more powerful, though Illidan is quite strong himself. Hopefully we see more of him in Warcraft IV, he is one of my favorite characters after Arthas...hopefully we see them again against eachoter in epic battle, this time in full CG-Cinematic cutscene, like Blizzard was supposed to do in the end of Frozen Throne, but they run out of time.

yes, Kil jae'dan suppose to be much powerfuller then illidan. But Illidan is the most powerfull boss in the World of Warcraft. Kil jae'dan gave Illidan that power to beat Arthas, but it wasnt enough. Kil jea'dan was afraid of Arthas and the Lich King so he gave his powers to Illidan, so in fact Illidan is stronger than Kil jae'dan.

Well what I remember from Warcraft III:Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne, Illidan was first transformed by the Skull of Gul'dan. Arthas was the one who told Illidan about the demon artifact, and he wanted Illidan to kill Tichondrius, the leader of the Dreadlords so that Legion would be weakend. Then in Frozen Throne, Kiljaeden appeared to Illidan. He wanted Illidan to destroy Lich King, because after Legion's defeat Nerzhul and the Scourge didnt have to obey them anymore, much like you said.

But Kil'jaeden didnt give Illidan his own powers. Instead he told him of the another demon artifact, the Eye of Sargeras and Illidan used the naga to find it and claim it. Illidan then tried to use the artifact to shatter the Icecrown to pieces, but the artifact was tearing the whole world apart and propably, that was one part of Kiljaeden's plan all along. Luckily Illidan's brother Malfurion along whit Tyrande Whisperwind and Maiev Shadowsong stopped him before the damage could be done.

Well, as you may know, he was imprisoned by his brother after the War of the Ancients (first war between Burning Legion and Night Elves 10 000 years before the events of Warcraft and WoW). He actually joined the Legion, because he wanted to learn about their powers, but had also a plan to destroy the Legion, but go to WoWwiki or better read War of the Ancients trilogy written by Richard A. Knaak. What I have understood he is now half-demon, half-night elf, now consumed by demon's evil power.

interesting thought, maybe after an update where u get to kill the lich king in Northrend, all hell breaks loose and an even bigger threat arises, like Sargeras or such. if there is going to be a new expansion ( probably, mmorpg's kinda requires more and more updating) i dont route for the emerald dream, i'm more of a fan for a more grimmy, total war scene. i did hear rumors about adding the Undermine (goblin homeland)

Blizzard will most likely make a Warcraft 4 'cause of World of Warcraft is an RPG game that requires at least once-a-year updating... One thing I meen should happen in Warcraft 4 is a new race (Besides the Naga) that will be the force that will take down Arthas the Lich King. Then hell will brake loose and mystical creatures seek vengeanse for some kind of force keeping them prisoner etc etc... :D

i love the nagas especially lady vashj and the royal guards!! they rock wen i use them in the campaign..the royal guards are almost like the heroes...they are to powerful for noraml units but a litle weak for a hero but still...THEY ROCK!!LAdy vashj blow dem away w/ the tornado!!

Some of the things Illidan has done has been very honorable. Yes, like turning himself into a half demon to have the power to destroy Tichondrious. But it wasent just the goal of killing the dreadlord that made him absorb the powers of the Skull of Ghul'dan that made him do it. It was Illidans lust for power, the same craving that was the reason they imprisoned him in the first place. But he has also been treated with hate and mistrust when ther was no call for it. Many sides to his story :)

I just read the sunwell trilogy (idk if you did read them) and Illidan has been treated with hate and mistrust... cause he deserves it. When he was a free nightelf citizen, he had the choice between dark magic and demonhunting or wisdom and druidism. He betrayed his own brother and tyrande knowing wat he was doing.
Btw in the novels, a succubus went to corrupt him when he was thinking to quit his ascension to the "dark side". so 25% of wat happened to him wasn't his fault in my opinion =)

if you play the campaigns u will see he is walking the border. u can make ur own mind up if illidan is evil or not. he saves them all by killing tichondrius, but to do that he must turn himself into a half demon. myself wouldnt call that evil
