I was hung while riding this train in 2006! And some Japanese were decapitated in 2007. Beware it is NOT safe on the top! If you ever get the chance to do the whole trip through Ecuador you must for sure do it. Ecuador was one of the best country's I ever visited and as for the Devils Nose, well what can I say. Best is to join the train at Riobamba and travel roof style all day.

@LifeofRail I spent a year in Ecuador in 75/76. Plenty of steam in those days. What a wonderful country it was. Baldwins and volcanoes.
