i play cabal too and i keep getting ksed by bots left and right (tried going elsewhere, but it's hard when you have a quest to kill monsters that are limited to one area). i've buffed some bots (before i knew they were bots) and sadly, they don't go anywhere. oh well, will have to pk bots next time i get on :P

Look when every he heals them they automatically cut out. Or log out, its a bug in the botting program, I know cuase I tried it once to see why others loved doing it. Its retarded. Thats how you can tell in this game who the bots are or arent.

Ye, true, but bots like those really only exist in Silkroad Online (that I've seen and tried). Then again, there are pixel bots also, that look at the colour of a pixel and determine what to do with it by preset. those are really the only bot i have been able to get for rappelz

a bot is basically a macro. and a macro is pre-set commands that the computer will carry out to when you set it to as many times as you set it to. a good example of a useful macro is in the game DarkEden/Fengshen where healers get exp from healing. so they gather up a mob that will attack them to no end, while the macro is set to press the right mouse button every time the skill charges back up, thus leveling the healer until you stop the macro or some guy comes along and kills you.

That's an example of Macro-bot. A true bot can do much more than that, by reading what you send to the game server, and what game server sends to your client.

I.e. 1. Look out for mob. 2. Find nearest 3. Auto atk it 4. Check HP, self heal if it's too low 5. Use atk skills if MP is high enough 6. Loot items nearby if there's any 7. Repeat 1#.

Stuff like that.

Any heal or buff to the bot will just make them disconnect for a while. I guess that's a method to prevent being PK'ed.

RPGs are a little different from MMOs but the game is good. It features guild raids which are a lot of fun. There is a significant amount of grinding involved but it's not that bad. WOW has worse grinding. Also the pet system is very cool, but requires a lot of work, as do most interesting things.
